Made an appointment told them what the problem was at my residence and I also inquired if they traveled down US 41 to my area for service. They informed me that it would cost $60 for the plumber to diagnose the problem and then if repairs were needed just the cost of the repair would be charged. They asked me nothing about where I lived or if I had city hook up for water or if I had a WELL The Plumber showed up and walked into my utility room and took one look and said, Sorry we do not service well systems. Then he said, the OFFICE should have been able to judge by GPS or whatever that your address was in the country. So, he said, I would still need to pay the sixty dollars for him just walking in and saying they do not service wells when the OFFICE did not inquire what type of system I had. HOW MANY YEAR EXPERIENCEDOSE THIS COMANY HAVE?

They were able to come out last minute and fix the problem. The repairman was very nice and understanding that I couldnt be present (so he explained everything on the phone). Kudos

Justin came our as emergency plumber for a job. Very up front pricing. They asked me 3 times before I came if I knew how pricing worked. Seemed high but figured I would see. Definitely worth it. Found the issue had to come back the following week with different tools ( non standard pipe) found another issue causing the problem and took care of it too. Found cheaper way to do it ( explsined choices)

Very happy with the professional high quality service by Mario installing a new hot water heater. He drained and removed old heater, installed new heater, streamlined the plumbing and gas piping, and we had hot water about 3 hours later. Excellent and cordial. Would definitely recommend them.

Ive used two other area plumbers and Ive always had to call reichelt to make the repairs. My house was an older house and as such has its plumbing challenges. Reichelt has a camera they use and the plumber called me over to show me my lines from the house to the street, we ultimately found tree roots which he absolutely decimated, and proved it by running the camera back down. You pay for the service, but you surely will not need to call another plumber out to clean up missed items.

The technician was very thorough with explaining everything. He was timely, efficient and wore his mask during the whole repair. I found this resource in the Yellow Pages and was so glad I did. He fixed my ejector lift pump with no problems and as a bonus told me what I could do to fix my previous ejector lift pump to use as a backup in the future. I am very happy with the service provided! The repair person came, gave a ridiculous quote to fix a leaking shower head ($1000s), citing difficulty with repairing the shower bc the part being used (Pfister, which is a highly reputable brand and offers lifetime warranty on their parts), then charged service fee and left. I understand business is business, but I think it is unconscionable to charge full price when no service was rendered. Bad first impression is the lasting impression!

They repaired gas line in my fireplace. Job is out of the ordinary. Did a Great Job fixing this issue. Did a Great Job Cleaning Up & getting job ready for the Mason to finish the job. Have used them before & will continue to use them

I had a water heater go out over the weekend and called them and wa s communicating with them within a short time.Although they offered to immediately come and look at the unit I knew the water heater was 13 years old and likely needed to be replaced. The error code on the display which showed that there was as major part had failed and I decided I didn’t want to repair the unit.We made a plan and first thing Monday morning they were working on replacing my water heater and had us back up and running quickly at a fair price.The team was professional and cleaned everything up all at a fair price that was agreed to.I fully recommend their services.I am not connected with them in any way shape or form, this is my honest opinion.

We had our thermal expansion tank replaced by Reichelt. The price of the tank was fair, but the hourly rate for the work was certainly very costly ($340 an hour)...for a final total (with tank) of $395. Chris worked as quickly as possible and was very friendly/professional. ...Im still surprised at how much this cost (it is was it is though).

I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel I have to this time. I had a great experience with Reichelt Plumbing. My water heater started leaking Friday night, I gave them a call early Saturday morning and left them a message, I called Reichelt because they were the ones who put my original water heater in 24 years ago, yes, 24 years! I was called back shortly after they opened by Chris, one of their plumbers. He did a great job explaining to me what needed to be done and about an hour later he was in my driveway with the new water heater.Chris did an excellent job, he was very professional, did an extremely neat installation making sure everything was perfect. He kept the area clean while working and it was clean when he was done, like it never happened. Thank you Chris and Reichelt Plumbing, I will be recommending you!

Originally called because backed up plumbing, that turned into broken sewer line. Explained, in detail, our choices, their proposal price, and the process to complete the work. On the day of completion, came in, did job in timely manner and saved us money. Will use again.

Ive used Reichelt for many years now and their staff are professional and courteous. They do great work and they are dependable. I know the job will be done properly the first time!

Set up an appointment to have a faucet looked at. The guy wasnt there 2 minutes before telling me we dont work with Moen, we deal exclusively with Delta, and that in order to fix a seemingly simple issue - theyd have to replace the entire sink and it would be a minimum of $600. On top of that, they still tried to charge me the $60 service fee for having him come out. Completely ridiculous, absolutely do not recommend using them.

I needed 3 shut off valves replaced- only the turningpart nothing wrong with the pipes. I felt the price was quite expensive, but I needed it done that day. The plumber was very nice and did a good job. I will not use this business again. I subsequently found out I was grossly overcharged.

I called Reichelt plumbing for a sewer gas leak they scheduled Mario to come out to my home. He found pipe vent rusted out in a wall he noticed my 70 year old floor drain was outdated and installed a new 2in. drain . So happy with the work performed by Mario . His work ethic is non stop and he is a real asset to Reichelt Plumbing . Thank you Mario and Reichelt plumbing and the cost was very reasonable .

We were having some issues with water pressure in our home. Since Reichelt Plumbing did the original work on the house I figured they were the best bet for any service call. I couldnt be happier with the service we received. Both times I called I spoke with someone that was very friendly and very helpful. The plumber they sent (Mario) was absolutely awesome! He was very personable and professional. He gave me good tips on maintaining plumbing related items as well as finding an unrelated item that surely would have cost me a lot more money down the road hadnt I opted to fix it. Reichelt Plumbing ran all new plumbing in an older home I purchased in Schererville. They did a wonderful job. They gave me a price up front and any additional work was communicated. Fair prices, great employees. This last week I had them out to rod my sewer. It ended up being a collapsed sewer pipe. Reichelt Plumbing was out within two days. and ran the new pipe from the house to the sewer. They finished in one day. I will always use Reichelt Plumbing for all my plumbing needs.

Reasonable priced and good service

I wish I could give them zero stars.I called them to service the tankless heater in my new house. I selected them since their website says they service and install them. The checked it and said they could find “nothing wrong” – to the tune of $200+. The house had been unoccupied for several months so that may have been an issue. Fast forward a few weeks, now we are in the house and experiencing the same issue. We call them back and again, “nothing wrong” – to the tune of $200+.I ask for an estimate to replace, and they gave me a ball-park estimate of $3,000. They say they can install a unit that I purchase. So I get a similar unit for $1,400 and arrange for the install at $145/hr. (It seemed like a better deal, even if it takes 3 hours to install, it’ll be over $1,000 less.)On the appointed day, their “head service man” with “23 years of experience “ shows up and tells my mom – who lives with us – “I’ve never put one of these in before…it’s going to take some time.” I called their office and told them about my past 2 calls, and now you send a guy who’s never installed these units before? I said, “get him the f&%k out of mu house.” They called him and had him leave, but he had to return as he “forgot” to turn on the gas and water.Never again with these jokers, never again.

We have called Reichelt before to clear an obstruction because of old pipes and they were good. Unfortunately I had to call them again but this time my experience was not the same. The plumber did remove the obstruction, but he left my basement a mess, with feces and dirty water all over my floor. I do expect there to be somewhat of a mess, but this was ridiculous. The guy was sloppy and could have prevented this huge mess on my floor.

We recently had a Reichelt Plumber out to fix a leak in gas line. When the guy showed up he didn’t even have the required tool to check. He was called specifically for that reason. He wanted to go back and bring but said it will be on our time and the mileage plus the $40.00 charge. Fortunately NIPSCO GUY happened to show up and he had the tool. He found the small leak. Reichelt didn’t do anything except to cut a small piece of drywall to tighten a pipe per NIPSCO guy. After an hour of standing and doing nothing he handed a bill for $254.00. We had to use our credit card to get rid of the guy. If you let him stay in our house any longer we may have to sell our house to pay these money hungry thieves. BEWARE with this unscrupulous company.

Probably would not use them again, charged me $125 and told me to go to Leeps plumbing for drain cleaner, which was another $25.00

The job got done but they are very, very let me repeat that...very expensive. Do yourself a favor..shop around and get a few quotes from other paces first unless of course you like paying 30% more. Sorry Reichelt I wont be coming back.

Had them out to diagnose a problem caused by our handyman. Told me I would need to replace a faucet that was just installed. Ok I can live with that. But they quoted me $600 to install a faucet!
