LIFE CHANGING!!! Sylvan has become like family to us. They are so dedicated to finding what works and building confidence. I feel like my son has had a complete transformation from when he first started. Not only are they giving us the results we want, we see him enjoying learning like never before. The biggest surprise for me was how involved sylvan has been. They have went to school meetings with me, answered so many of my questions and offered great counsel. They have been a cornerstone when I felt hopeless on what to do. I don’t know where we would be without them. Worth every penny. By the way, interest free financing is available! Sylvan in Schererville is AMAZING. Jen, Sara and the entire staff are committed to the kids. Not just their school work, but to the WHOLE kid. They work to improve self confidence, organizational skills and overall attitude in addition to the school work. They will collaborate with the kids teachers, if you authorize them too. In just 6 weeks time, my 14 year old improved all of his grades by one or two grade letters! He is also more engaged and confident in his work.Thank you, Sylvan!!

My daughter has struggled in math during most of her schooling. As we were preparing for her senior year of high school and determining what her college plans may be, it was clear that she needed extra help on the ACT and just general math knowledge to take her through life. She wasnt thrilled about the idea of doing extra school work after school and in between extra curricular activities at first, but the incredible partnership with the Sylvan team really made a difference. My daughter went from math being the worst result in her ACT scoring to the best. Sylvan provided the help she needed while working around her fully packed schedule. My daughter did decide to embrace the help which is key for success.

I recently had a review of my son’s progress since coming to Sylvan Learning Center. I was in tears to find out his progress has improved tremendously. Being mom is hard enough being a mom and seeing your child struggle through school breaks your heart. So to see my son use the skills they are teaching him and getting great grades in school warms my heart. Sylvan has been a blessing to my son and I. I couldn’t thank you enough.

They have done such a wonderful job helping my daughter with her Trigonometry class that I wanted to continue and have them prepare her for her SAT she’ll be taking this year. Jen, Sara and the tutors have been so accommodating in working with her work schedule and around her sports schedule. There is no better investment than in educating your child to be their best! During Quarantine the Sylvan instructors have kept my daughters education fun, personal, and challenging in one-on-one zoom sessions.

We reached out to Sylvan toward the beginning of the first semester of the current school year (2018/2019). Our daughter (currently a sophomore in high school) wasn’t necessarily struggling in school in the traditional sense, but she needed some extra help to make the next step with what her goals were academically. We were in a unique situation, as she didn’t necessarily just need help in one subject. The staff at the Schererville Sylvan location has been fantastic with this. They listen to our needs, continually communicate with our daughter and with us, and also continually adjust our daughter’s tutoring based on her current needs at school. As a result, our daughter is receiving help in a couple of subjects that are the most difficult for her, she receives help in other subjects when she requests it, and she also works on study skills (such as note taking skills and how to find the important information in texts or her own notes) and test taking skills when she doesn’t have specific homework concerns.The results of receiving the help at the Schererville Sylvan were immediate with our daughter. Some of the stress she had been feeling about schoolwork was gone as she had new confidence from skills she was learning, and she knew she had support twice a week working with her tutor(s) with her specific questions regarding school subject material. Her grades also all raised by the end of her first semester.We could not be happier with the services our daughter receives, and very highly recommend the Schererville Sylvan location and it’s staff to everyone!

I have nothing but great things to say about Sylvan. They have helped my child immensely in her math work. She has gained knowledge, confidence and better grades since her tutoring started. The teachers are very friendly & approachable. If your hesitant, don’t be, give them a try. Sorry I didn’t do it sooner.
