I was completely at a loss on who to call and trust with the work I needed on the scary crack I noticed in my garage foundation . I did some searching online and came across Family First Restoration. The reviews across different platforms were consistent on what a pleasure it is to do business with this company.Felicia, the office manager, was one of the most pleasant and helpful persons Ive encountered (she is also prompt in getting back to me). She asked that I text her a picture of the crack and shell forward it to Martin (the owner). Martin reviewed the information and came out the next day to evaluate the situation.He said if theres one crack there has to be another. AND you know what? There was another crack that I didnt even notice. The price was good (it was in my expected range) and I scheduled the work. I asked him about a preventative solution to avoid further disruption and he came up with a plan and quote for a drainage system.The day of the job Martin and his employee Ruben came out to complete the project. Ruben is a very friendly and personable gentleman.The reviews about Martin are spot on. Martin is very knowledgeable and professional. He is easy to talk with and very polite.Martin and his company Family First Restoration is top notch and I already asked for quotes on additional jobs.

This is a fantastic company that did over and beyond my expectations. On time, curtious, friendly, very fair pricing and the owner is very knowledgeable of his work. I like that he was on site, instructing crew as needed. Family First also helped a great deal with insurance issues, giving me peace of mind. Ive had them been back to do more . I broke my hip at the start of a new project and not only did the owner call to see how I was doing, he made sure the job was was complete before I came home. I love Family First and you will too.

I would definitely recommend Martin for any home remodel. He is professional. He takes pride in his work. He doesnt pass the job to someone else. Martin is at the job location himself overseeing work he doesnt do himself. He makes sure that all inspections pass. Every night the area is neatly cleaned up. This siding repair was the 5th project that Family First Restoration has completed for us. I have been looking forward to writing this review! I came across Family First Restoration/Construction Company in my local community Facebook group. I was in the very beginning stages of a full basement remodel when I desperately needed to find a new contractor. I sent Martin an email and received a call back immediately. Martin came out the next day to take a look at the job and to give a quote. From day 1, Martin has been transparent about everything that was needed and what the job would entail. Our basement was down to the concrete and studs, so there was a great deal of work ahead with our project. With the pandemic, I was working from home and was able to continue doing so normally upstairs during the entire remodel. Martin and his crew were professional, friendly, CLEAN, and took care of our home like it was their own. Each crew member who came to work in our home was respectful and took pride in their work. Martin has a lot of experience as a general contractor, and that was helpful to us when making decisions during the remodel. He was excellent at communication, and he let us know each day when to expect him or a member of his crew at our house. Martin handled pulling all permits and passed each Village inspection with no issues at all. What was appreciated the most was the condition my basement was left in at the end of each workday. His crew really took the time to make sure everything was clean, organized, and not left with hazardous material behind. Martin has an attention to detail that truly reflects in the quality and final product of his work. He refused to cut corners, and that showed with our beautifully finished basement. Our basement remodel was undoubtedly a huge investment, and while we went over budget, we could not have asked for better work to be done. Martin’s work was worth every dollar spent.One thing completely unrelated to my remodel that I would like to share because I believe this shows Martin’s true character and the type of person he is. Through the same local Facebook group where I found his business, I also discovered that he and his family have had a food pantry/bin set up outside their home since the start of the pandemic (March). Anyone from the community is welcomed to come take or donate nonperishables as needed. I read many, many comments of people who were beyond grateful to have this available in their time of need. What a truly thoughtful way to give back to your neighbors and the community, especially when so many families are hurting financially.You can read 5-star review after 5-star review of someone and their business, but to read and see how someone directly gives back to their community is worth a million bucks.Thank you, Martin! I work for a home improvement company, and had some difficulty with a client who was having issues. I was having issues communicating to my homeowner on possible solutions. I spoke to Martin, the owner of Family First Restoration, to gain some knowledge on mold. Instead of berating and using a condescending tone, Martin was incredibly helpful and kind. Martin and his 4 crews were amazing. Took care of waterproofing my basement and then they completed all the reconstruction and paint. Their Roofer was also awesome and was able to take care of all the venting that needed to be done after they installed a new roof for me also. I highly recommend this company. Have to admit they are not your regular company, not a start up company with no experienced technicians. Cant say enough but THANK YOU!

Martin and his crews were awesome. They just finished my kitchen after another company messed it all up. They pulled the permits needed and the plumber and electrician were actually licensed this time. I paid for the job twice but thats my fault for not calling them First! I highly recommend them to anyone. NOTE : They are not the cheapest but they are the BEST!!

They showed up - gave me a reasonable quote - offered me a transferable warranty - They were very helpful - and even put me in contact with other professionals for services they do not provide. Amazing company to deal with. They cleaned the mold in my attic and also fixed 2 cracks in my foundation that was leaking for a very good price. Best of all they remodeled my basement and finished all the drywall and paint in under 2 weeks. Carpet is finished!!! I was so happy that they will be starting 3 bathrooms in the house next week! Martin and his crews were amazing. Cant say enough when we had a house fire and they came in at 2am, to help clean up after the fire department flooded our home. It has been almost a month and our Kitchen LR and basement are back to normal. What a mess i must say but Martin and 12 guys were there every day non stop to help and get this finished. I would Highly recommend this company any day. They also repaired 4 cracks in the basement that we didnt know we had!!!

Awesome company for foundation repairs. My house collapsed and they were able to fix it. Not with a cheap price tag, but I trusted them with $20,000 and they came thru for every penny spent. Thank you for all your help. Came back from vacation and our home was destroyed by a broken pipe. Mold and water every where. Our home was cleaned up and put back together in less than 3 weeks. Even got a new kitchen. The owner is amazing and was surprised how many crews there were that knew each other and worked together so easily.

I am a Retired Air Force Veteran and Family First was so quick with our Mold and Foundation problems. All said and done it was not cheap but they were amazing and very professional. On top of it all I received a 20% Military discount that was very much needed. I have to say thank you to Martin and his crews, Laurentino and Frank. Great group of guys and to watch 3 crews with 9 guys work together so easy and fast with not 1 problem shows how long they have been doing this together. Very impressed you guys thanks again! Wish I would have looked at the reviews that the owner posted himself. Extremely unprofessional,trying to get money from both me and the insurance company,did not finish the job per his own recommendations,and left the house ripped apart with tenants in the home,leaving us no choice but to call another contractor. Very smooth talker and lives loves his badge but created more Heath and harm by not handling the dangerous material in the home. Would not recommend them from our personal experience.

Although I was satisfied with the service they performed on my foundation, and I extremely unhappy with how they handled the fact that they lost the key to my house.I had pay an added expense that I shouldnt have to pay, to have a lock smith come out to my house. My key was lost while in their possession, and they act as if they could care less. Sent them the invoice for the charge I had to pay due to their mistake, and I get no response back. Very unprofessional. There is no reason to ignore someone when you put their familys safety and security at risk.**UPDATE**After posting this review, the company contacted me and reimbursed me for the lost key.

Great company. I had water damage due to Ice come into my home and Family First was there to clean it up. Met with our Adjustor and Cleaned up our mess. Next day his Roofer and siding crews were there repairing the damage outside and replacing the flashing on our windows also. They are in the process of putting our drywall back and refinishing our hardwood floors. Just needed to say THANKYOU Martin and your crews for all your help.*** My Husband is a deceased Army Veteran when Martin Found out he immediately donated $2000 back to us.. Nice company, they take the time to go thru with the proper equipment, no rushing and were able to give a proper recomendation.

FFR was the second company I had to my house due to some water damage. They showed up in the time slot they had told me. The guy that came was very professional. Asked me a few questions and I showed him what was going on. He said to give him a few minutes to look over everything and write me a quote. After about 15-20mins he presented his quote to me. He also the. Said if there are any hidden issues behind the wall he will bring it to my attention right away. price for job was a bit higher than other quote but in my experiences you get what you pay for. I decide I would give them a try. Crew came to my house the next day, demoed a wall and some cabinets. Did not find any other issues. Fixed the crack in foundation that was causing the problem set up some equipment for a few days came back to pick equipment up. The guy who picked up equipment then told me they also do rebuild. I said great can u write me an estimate. Wrote one up right then. I agreed of course. The re drywalled, installed a few cabinets. We agreed that I would repaint. Job was completed in the time they had told me. I am very happy with the results. Would HIGHLY recommend FFR to friends and family!

This is in response to Renee Gonzales. We stopped working at your home due to you have a roof leaking that you dont want to pay for. You have asbestos tiles that need to be removed, you wanted it done for free. You have serious electrical problem that you want covered up. I would never do that to anyone that is why we stopped work. I will not rebuild someones home improperly and if that means your mad Im sorry but I would never do that. You have mold so bad in your main living area its growing thru the hatch the insurance told you thats not covered,you want it done anyways for free. If that means I get a bad reviews for being a honest contractor then Ill take it. Being a landlord you should be more concerned with the health and safety of your Tennant. Thats why we document and photograph everything and included your insurance company so they know whats going on. I wish your tenants the best of luck and hope the village steps in. Its not your health at risk its your tennants.
