I have been a long time customer and was not treated fairly. Donald sent an amateur to screen my floors and there are loads of imperfections such a scratches and unfinished spots. Donald was not man enough to pick up my phone calls and kept texting like a fifteen your old girl. My floors are too good to ever receive that treatment again. You’re a real weasel, Donald. You keep your worthy workers on new jobs and treat your longtime customers like garbage. You’re a real pleb to say the least and you deserved my harsh criticism. You deserve worse.

Personal Touch Wood Floors did the most incredible job on my floors!I cant rave enough. I had terrible pet and water stains and I thoughtI would have to redo my entire first floor. With the most amazing skill they repaired the areas without having to do the whole first floor. They matched the color of the existing stain so perfectly and exceeded all my expectations. They made the rooms look like I had brand new floors.I just keep staring at my floors because I am so happy.They were professional, courteous and their attention to detail was above and beyond. Great price.Will use them again and again.

We had a really positive experience with Don and his team. They were prompt, friendly, professional, but most importantly they did a stellar job. I had some old oak floors that hadnt been cared for in decades, in some cases it was dried out and splitting, in others there were stains that I was certain would be there forever. His team brought the floors back to pristine shape. If I have any more floor jobs in the future, hes the first one Ill call.

UPDATE/RESPONSEYOU HAVE ME CONFUSED WITH ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Wow, funny how you never responded to my calls or did the job but you made the time to respond to my review. Unfortunately, you have me confused with another customer who you apparently disappointed as well. If you actually took the time to read my review, youd know we are in a house, NOT AN APARTMENT and the job was NOT A LIVING ROOM FLOOR. The problem was that you never showed up or returned any of my calls. The job was a simple, small one and apparently not worth your time. If you had just been upfront with me or at some point had the decency to return my calls and let me know you wouldnt be able to make it happen, there would be no problem. And again, the worst part is that you were recommended by a friend who wont be doing the same going forward, Im sure. It sounds like from the other reviews, you do good work when you actually show up. Unfortunately we never got that far.ORIGINAL REVIEWAWFUL! Stood us up THREE TIMES! I should have known better after it took Donald over two weeks to return my phone call. He came by, did the estimate and we picked a date two weeks away. I got the house ready, opened the windows on a hot summer day and an hour after hes supposed to show up, I have to call him to find out hes running late. Then he still doesnt show up later that day and I call again. This time hes having equipment trouble and asks to reschedule for later that week...The day of the job, he calls me at 7AM to cancel again...he could have called the night before so I didnt clear out my whole morning but at this rate, Im just wanting to get the job done and over with. He promises me hell show up that weekend at 8am sharp to do the job. I agree to it but at this point I know Im never gonna see this guy again.And Im right. Not only does he NEVER SHOW UP, he doesnt even have the decency to return my phone call and try to work out the situation.I understand these guys get busy, that equipment breaks and jobs run behind but that doesnt excuse this kind of behavior. If the job wasnt worth his time, he should have said so and not wasted ours. To waste my time on basically four different days is inexcusable. The worst part is that Donald was recommended by a good friend. She felt terrible after hearing what we went through and needless to say but Ill say it, wont be recommending this operation to anyone ever again. And obviously neither will I.

We used Personal Touch for years. Donnie did all our floors at home years ago and they still look great. We recently relocated our business and Personal Touch did the hard wood floors and they did a great job. We got a great price and great service. In 2005, I had my floors refinished by Personal Touch Wood Floors. When we moved 12 years later and I wanted to have the floors done in our new home, I knew exactly who to call! We moved into a 111 year old foursquare victorian with aged honey floors. I wondered if we just needed to lay new floors. Donald took a look and told me I didnt need to. They sanded the floors and made the wood look brand-spanking new! I could not believe how gorgeous they were once they were sanded. I went with a modern ebony stain which they applied with absolute perfection. Donalds company and skills of expertise have truly grown over the years. It was a big job--3 floors and lots of stairs. We were not able to do the floors before moving in so we needed a company that could get in, get the job done, and get out. Donald and his Personal Touch team got it done! His company and expertise have truly grown over the years. If you need your floors done, look no further!

Don Baker and Personal Touch Wood Floors were great. He gave us a very fair price, worked within our time limits, was totally reliable, kept house clean and the floors (entire house) look terrific. Very professional and we could not have asked for more or a better job.

This was our third time using Personal Touch Wood Floors over the last 19 years. Donald has a skilled team of craftsmen who can plaster, paint, repair floors, install new floors and install new floor molding, as well as sand and poly existing floors. We have recommended him to several members of our family as well as friends, all of whom have used his sevices and have been pleased with the work.

Weve used Personal Touch 3 times and have had only excellent experiences. Shortly after buying our home in Pelham, Don stained and sealed our entire first floor, oak and pine. He was flexible on timing and his crew was respectful and great with our kids who were home at the time. We priced him and some competitors and he had he best prices. A year or so later Don stained and sealed floors upstairs, repaired some scarred flooring from the prior owner and did a great job as usual. Finally, we just had him pull carpet off our stairs, stain/seal the steps and paint the risers. We called him shortly before leaving for vacation and he gave us an estimate and lined up his crew fast enough to get the stairs done while we were away. Weve also referred friends and neighbors to Don and Ive heard only positive feedback from them. Give him a call - you wont regret it.

Spoke to Donald and explained to him that my staircase to the basement needs to be finished (sanded & stained). He told me it would cost me about $400.We set up an appointment, and after me taking a day off from work, he never showed up! I called him and left a message. Later that day in the afternoon he called me back stating that was something had come up and would be willing to come again the following day.His excuse was that he did not have my phone number to inform me about his cancellation because I had used the Home Advisor App. Two days before, however, we had texted to confirm the appointment! How is it possible that Donald did not have my number?Moreover, Donald confused me with another customer because he thought he needed to work on a room instead of the staircase.Well, the day after came, and Donald never showed up! At this point, there is no need to show up any more! Very unprofessional!
