Removed very large, old and diseased oak from property. Stood by their reasonable price even though it took my town eons to process the permit. Crew was terrific - efficient, answered all my questions, kept me apprised of the process of their work, pleasant, did terrific job cutting stump practically to grade on a slope (couldnt be ground). Would recommend to anyone.

Removal to ground level of One Very large Horse Chestnut tree including grinding of Stump.Work was carried out very professionally and in time. Public safety was also very well arranged around the area. The place was left clean and tidy after the work was carried out. The team was outstanding. I will definitely recommend this company to family and friends.

I had a very large, very old tree that was rotting out and would soon have crashed into my house. They removed it, including the giant limbs that were hanging over my roof. They did so professionally and without putting my house in further danger. The price was fantastic in relation to the quality of work.I give them 5 stars. Unfortunately, the newly homeless Squirrels give them 1.

I use Emerald for tick and mosquito control. Had experiences with 4 different companies before, this one by far is the best. The guys do an awesome job. I would recommend them to anyone with a mosquito and tick problem. Great customer service better than most of the companies around here!

I was a customer of a major tree company that claimed to be the best saving trees. I have a Magnolia tree that was on decline, It was treated for 2 years and it never got better and it was deteriorating. A neighbor told me that I should give EMERALD TREE a try, since they were doing an amazing job taking care of her trees.  I called them and they immediately scheduled a free evaluation. They send the Arborist to inspect my tree the very same day, and the Arborist told me that the problem on the tree was misdiagnosed. EMERALD schedule a treatment for the very next day and only a week later the tree began to recover its vigor. It is incredible that I  wasted so much time and money with the other company, but now I will only rely on Emerald, they are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

They complete work quickly, safely, and always with a special consideration for the environmental sensitivity of our sites. They have also generously donated their services to many of our community projects including the installation of an American Chestnut Sanctuary.

Just had Emerald back for the 2nd time in two years. They removed two weed trees which were growing in my back yard. The Norwegian maple was fully 35 feet tall and in an awkward spot behind the garage. It was removed without damage to any other plants or property. A smaller oak was also in a difficult spot and removed without damage.In the front of our home, they pruned three ornamental trees; a weeping cherry, Hollywood juniper and red bud. This is were their real skill stood out. The crew understood what I wanted to achieve and at times made recommendations which were both in keeping with the health of the tree and its appearance. At the end, they cleaned up thoroughly.Great job by a crew who knew what they were doing.

We had a big branch down across our front lawn--partially blocking our front door. We reached out to several tree companies and Emerald was very responsive and came quickly. They provided options, and were well priced.

While I cant speak for their skills in their trade. I can say that their customer service is very lacking. I called on a Monday and spoke with someone who said that someone could look that week. Never heard back when I called again I was pretty much told the same thing. No one ever showed. You could be the best at what you do, but if you customer service is bad, it reflects poorly for your company.

My experience with this company was unprofessional, disappointing, and lacking in customer service, especially with KEVIN WYATT, the vice president of Emerald Tree and Shrub Care. He gave me an initial estimate for trimming in 2017 for a giant elm tree belonging to my neighbor and causing damage to my house. Estimate and access was discussed in detail. After the insurance approval, I contacted Emerald in 2018 for the service. I was advised to wait until November, after the tree stopped actively growing. I respected the rationale for timing of the trimming and waited until November to call for an appointment. It took 3 months of multiple phone calls to the office, leaving messages and ignored responses from Kevin to finally get him back to the house for a re-estimate that he requested. He was late, and after seeing the tree, he asked about access. At Kevin’s advice from the initial consult, I had gotten permission from my neighbor to allow access to his back yard/parking lot for the companys workers and the truck and I told him so. Kevin then said he now wanted the back lot empty of ALL cars. Since Emerald works in busy sidewalks filled with cars parked or moving in NYC when the company trims NYC sidewalk trees during the fall, asking for the lot to be completely void of all cars seemed unreasonable and an excuse. When I questioned his reasoning behind emptying the lot, he got very irritated and angry and ran out of my house citing he did not want to take the job. I am a smart woman and I do not like being lied to with excuses that do not make sense. If he did not want to do the work, he should not have kept me waiting for months, and then give me irrational excuses to either increase the initial estimate or avoid taking the job altogether. The company is UNPROFESSIONAL and UNTRUSTWORTHY. When I told Kevin that I will be leaving a review, he said no worries, there will be plenty of other reviews to offset mine so go ahead.

The arborists at Emerald really know their stuff. I had them come and do a tree inspection of some very old Oak Trees on my property and I learned so much by walking with them for just 10 minutes. Their crew came and did the pruning work in a timely fashion and cleaned up so well you could hardly tell they were here. I highly recommend them.

Poor customer service; after waiting months for an appointment, when I asked them to trim something a little more, the workers resisted and when I talked to the owner, he was very condescending. They left without checking with me too. Use a different company.

I made an appointment with Emerald tree company and they did not show up. I call them an hour after the appointment to find out where they were and was told the person that was supposed to meet me was in a meeting and could not be reached. And that they would call me back, but they did not call me back. I took time off work to be home during the day for the appointment and this company didn’t even offer an apology or a reason for not showing up.

They just cut half of the tree in front of my house for no reason ! It was not on a way of anything and the branches they cut were brand new 😶😶😶😕. Is it like we have too many trees in Manhattan ? 😳
