Wonderful service. I am very happy to find myself a new salon. The team here are amazing, the decor is relaxing and the jewelry in the front room is awesome. The hair appointment was my perfect distraction from shopping too much! So much cute things but its a great reflection of the team. People that really so care about their work and their environment. I rarely write reviews, but Lilly did such a great job that I had to write one! The salon and Lilly were both very professional and I think the salon has great prices for their services. Lilly listens to her clients in order to create the most ideal and beautiful style for them and from my personal experience she brought just that and more! I was an out of town Mother of the Groom who did blow outs and makeup here for both the rehearsal and the wedding day. The Salon was recommended by a local snd I was not disappointed. Super happy with the results for both days using 2 different stylists snd makeup artists. Both were amazing took their time didn’t rush checked in along the way to make sure I was happy. Felt well taken care of. And perfectly glammed for wedding weekend! Please The bride also had her hair and makeup done on Friday and looked beautiful. Highly recommend

Rachel did an awesome job with me and my girls. I struggle to find hair dressers who can read the lay of my hair because it is thin in so many different areas and thick in others so the layers don’t come out right. She worked on fixing my uneven layers so it doesn’t look so choppy anymore. My girls are 9 and 5. Both loved her. She took the time to style their hair exactly how they wanted it. Would definitely recommend

I have been utilizing this salon for a few months and was somewhat satisfied with the partial foils and root touch ups. I had scheduled a haircut with another stylist at this salon and explained to her that I wanted a better look with some movement. She snipped maybe the length of my eyelashes off of my ends and did not clean up my layers.... but unfortunately took a chunk off of one side of my bangs and were left uneven. I had emailed the salon a polite note explaining what had happened and asked if I could receive a partial refund since I had to pay another salon to fix my hair. After several days, the salon owner thanked me for my business, offered no apology and recommended I visit other salons in the future, with no mention of a partial refund. I was charged $66.00 for a snip off my ends and a chunk of my bang cut off. I believe in business that all customers matter and we need to value each one of them. What would have been so awful for a business owner to:A. Apologize for the errorB. Honor the partial refundC. Even offer to come back in and fix itTreat others how you would want to be treated.

Ive worked in Savannah for a little over 6 years and have been bouncing from stylist to stylist looking for someone consistent that I could trust with my cut (weird semi-curly hair) and occasional color. I took a chance and booked with Christina. Shes a color specialist but my haircut is pretty simple so I felt sure she could handle it and she did. I have never felt more relaxed around a stylist when I am usually a huge bundle of nerves. I was only there about an hour but we were able to talk about my hair in general and what I wanted to work toward. She made me feel good about my hair and I havent in really long time. I made an appointment for Oct and cant wait to see what shes able to do (I have ugly box color that shes going to cover). Christina just gave off great vibes and also was able to help me figure out how to style my hair a little better/easier.One tip - make sure you are tipping on the service and not whatever product you buy (my tip wouldve been the same but just an FYI).

When i first walked in i was still kinda nervous about getting my hair bleached and colored, but i was getting more comfortable with the more i was there. The time, effort, and quality than they put into my hair was well worth the time and money spent there. 10/10 am gonna go again :)

SUCH a great experience at this salon & I would definitely use them again. We were in town for a wedding & I needed a blowout/style. I also made an appointment for my friend (who has insanely curly hair) for an up-do. Christina did my hair and I was so pleased with how it felt & looked. Taylor did my friends hair & both my friend & I are were IN LOVE!! She did an amazing job and both ladies were so friendly & professional. They also came through in a big way for several of us in the wedding party when we realized we forgot our false lashes. They were kind enough to put together a little kit for us & it was very affordable!

I got my hair done at Roots Southern Salon and had the best experience. My hair turned out amazing and it was above and beyond. The prices are affordable and the girls are so nice inside. Highly recommend.

First of all, this is the first bad review I have EVER written. Writing this in hopes of sparing someone else from what I have experienced. Should have wrote it sooner....After moving from Ohio to Savannah last spring, I searched and searched for a salon as I didnt know anyone here. It had been 8 months since my hair had been touched with color. I only wash it every 4-5 days. I typically let it air dry as I have natural curl. It was not damaged when I came into this salon. I scheduled an appointment with Lindsey Hurt last August. My customer service was terrible. I sat in the shampoo bowl with wet hair while she did a FULL service on another client and didnt even tell what she was doing. After more than 30 minutes she came back to the bowl and didnt once apologize or acknowledge how long I had been sitting there. All that aside, when I left the salon my hair looked fantastic. I was very happy with the cut and color. Within the next few days following my appointment the damage began to show up and I knew it was bad. I have close friends who are hairstylists in Ohio and they told me she must have overlapped my lightener, meaning over processed and FRIED blonde hair. No amount of treatments can undo what has been done. I called not long after the damage to speak with the owner Susan. I spoke to someone at the front desk. Nicely explained what had happened. I wasnt concerned with a refund or someone trying to make it right. I just wanted to make what happened known for future clients. I was never called back, and maybe the owner was never made aware. Who knows. Attaching some pictures of my hair now. 8 months later.

I first started going to Roots when I relocated to the area in early 2019. As a natural brunette with very heavy blonde foils, it can be difficult to find a good salon that doesn’t charge insane prices. I was very happy with my service at Roots, but my stylist of choice moved away in fall 2019. After she left, I tried out a number of other salons because I was hoping to find one a little bit closer to home (I live in SC). I can honestly say that among the other top-rated salons in the Savannah/HHI area, Roots is hands down the best. I ended up back at Roots within six months or so, and basically chose a new stylist at random, based on availability. All of the stylists at Roots are so talented that you can really see anyone and still expect great service. I have been going to Madison for about a year now, and she is amazing. One thing I noticed about Roots is that they never pressure you to do one thing or another, they really listen to you and try to understand your hair goals. I remember when I first arrived in the area, I showed my stylist at Roots a picture of platinum bleached hair. Instead of going on about how difficult that process is or immediately trying to dissuade me like other salons have, my stylist was just like, “Okay, let’s figure out a plan to get you there!” Super super nice girls, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my blonde hair! I can’t recommend them enough.

The staff was super friendly, nice and professional. My hairstylist, Jenna, did a fantastic job: she was efficient, kind, and easy to talk to. Also the facility was extremely clean and organized, showing that everyone was dedicated to doing their best work. Honestly I couldnt ask for a better experience--I highly recommend this salon.

Beauty salons are not generally my favorite places. Here you have a great view of the river and the boats, and across the river a convention center and a big (Marriot ?) hotel. Newly remodeled and much expanded. My stylist gave me just what I wanted. Not cheap.

I walked into the salon with hair that was post covid, extra dry, extra frizzy, uneven along with a most dreadful color. My color was very black and had been so for many years. It was a permanent color. I was embarrassed and saddened at the image my hair displayed me as. However, when I left the salon, I was more than elated. I received more than what I asked for. I went for a full creative color and the service was fine but within 2 weeks it had started to fade significantly and VERY uneven. It looks like someone who had no idea what they were doing dyed my hair. I had high expectations, but I could get my hair done with twice the quality for half the price elsewhere. Would be a fine place for a cut/style but not for color.

Love this place! After I had a bad experience with another salon with my hair extensions, they got me in immediately and Meghan was my stylist. She made me feel so comfortable and took great care of me. The salon is clean, professional and the staff was so gracious and awesome. This is my new go-to!!

I received a trim at the salon, and it was an amazing experience - so relaxing and so fun. Meghan did an outstanding job making my hair look fresh and healthy. She offered great styling suggestions that were much appreciated. Also, everyone was properly spaced out because of COVID, which made me feel at ease. One customer was not wearing a mask, but she was far enough away that I didn’t feel uncomfortable. Will definitely be returning for my next trim!

I had high hopes for this Salon I really did. Let me just say before going in I already knew they were on the pricey side that’s why I expected a fabulous experience. It was anything but that. My hairstylist was not the friendliest gal she was actually more like an ice queen. Very cold and short. But I saw her work prior to booking so I decided to ignore it. But for as much money as I spent in there I expected way better vibes. Unfortunately even though I booked another appointment for a couple months out after leaving the Salon and how the visit resonated with me I just can’t do it again. I really wanted to like this Salon truly but your hairstylists need a course on customer service especially when people are paying you hundreds of dollars. Roots Salon if you want word of mouth to spread good things about your Salon then have your hairstylists not be so stuck up and leave a bad taste in your mouth from the appointment. Good luck.

During my first visit, the stylist left spots on my head and basically charged me $240 to put a gloss over my hair color. When I called to explain I was unhappy, the front office was rude to me, stated that Susan, the owner, was on vacation and would get back with me the following week. A week goes by and I havent heard anything so I call again. The assistant manager schedules me for an appointment 1 week after my initial appointment to have it fixed.When I showed up to the appointment, my stylist and the head stylist evaluated the spots that were painted onto my head, and continued to defend the results, stating that the only person who could make the call to fix my hair would be the owner, who was still out of town. Another week days goes by - it is now two weeks since my appointment and complaint. Finally, the owner contacts me, and is very apologetic, says she will fix it personally, and refunded me $100. Susans appointment before me ran late and I was sitting for 50 minutes in the waiting room - not a huge deal but it would have been nice of them to call me and give me a heads up. She reassured me that the stylist should have gone about a different way, and proceeded to fix my hair and was very pleasant. After, she scheduled me for a follow up visit with her for two months out (February) and she was going to use me as a model for a class to remove color (I have dark underneath).Two months later, Susan (the owner) calls me two hours before my appointment and cancels due to an emergency, but reassures me she will be in touch with me that evening to reschedule. That was THREE weeks ago, and I still have not heard anything from her. I gave this salon another chance after I was treated so unprofessionally, only to get cancelled same day by the owner of the salon... If I had known, then I would have had time to schedule an appointment with a completely different salon instead of being left high and dry with roots for days.If you want high quality salon prices for hair student results, poor management, and rude customer service, by all means go to Roots Southern Salon.

I am new to the Savannah area and needed a good haricut and was a little nervous because you never know what you get in to when going to a new stylist in a new place! Then I met Mary at Roots Southern Salon and she cut my hair into a cute and sassy look and I absolutely love it!

Worse salon in Savannah! They canceled a week before my wedding due to an error on their behalf. They are very unprofessional and rude.

I was out of town on a mini vacation and decided on a whim that I wanted a haircut. I looked at all the reviews and was very impressed. I called at 10:30 AM and got an appointment for 2:00 PM the same day. The first impression of the business was the receptionist. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the business. My stylist was Madison. She was also super friendly and very knowledgeable. She listened to what I wanted done and gave me advice about the (kind of) texture of my hair. She recommended a hydrating treatment (Pureology). My hair is very dry and coarse. When she completed the treatment and styled my hair it looked so soft and shiny. I never let anyone blow dry my hair because no one has ever been able to get it as straight as I do. I decided to let Madison do it. She did a great job blow drying and styling!! I left there a VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!! LOVE THIS PLACE!! This is not the last time they will have me as a client....I will be back!!

I visited Roots Southern Salon for the first time this weekend after researching many salons in the area! I saw the stylist Savannah and I am SO pleased. She listened and understood exactly what I was trying to achieve and the results were unbelievable - better than I even expected! They also made sure to follow all Covid precautions which is appreciated. It’s obvious that the girls in this salon love what they do and really want the best results for all of their guests! Highly recommend!!

This salon is my go-to! For all my curly haired queens out there, they have products and styling that work like magic. I always leave with the bounciest, softest curls I’ve ever had. Meghan is the greatest and I know (because she trains some of the other stylists) I can go to any of them and I’ll get exactly what I want.

Lyndsay cut and colored my hair from a picture I showed her. It was one of the best haircuts I was ever given!

Lily is an ABSOLUTE LEGEND!!!! She spent 9 hours on my hair fixing and perfecting what another salon had messed up. She took my hair from dark brown to blonde for the first time ever and I can honestly say that Ive never loved my hair SO MUCH! She is unbelievably meticulous and puts the time in to ensure that her final product is spectacular. It was definitely a lengthy process, but she was extremely knowledgeable and always explained the steps as we went. I was so worried that going blonde would damage my hair, but it was lightened so gently that my hair is still in fantastic health! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lily - not only for her amazing skills, but for her warm and kind personality also! She will definitely be my go-to stylist from here on out! Thank you!!!

Beyond frustrated and disappointed with this place. Not sure why I booked with the highest level stylist there and paid for her services when she spent less than 10 minutes with me and had her students do the rest. she then ignored my messages when I reached out about correcting some spots I noticed after I left that weren’t right. For $206 and a $40 tip it’s the lousiest customer service I have ever received. I will alert everyone of my personal experience from now on when I see these people on Facebook group’s recommending this stylist and place.

Christina was absolutely AMAZING!!! She did hair and makeup for myself, mother of the bride and groom. It down-pouring when we left, but luckily she had shower caps and capes ready for us to stay dry and beautiful! I would recommend her to everyone!

The stylist (Lindsey) was great. The salon’s compliance with their own COVID restrictions was disappointing and a prime example of why we’re having trouble eradicating this virus! No temperatures were taken. I counted 3 customers in the salon without a mask on (including a girl seated directly beside me, eek) and several stylists with their mask below their nose. There were also guests with customers in the salon, including one who was also not wearing a mask. We said something to the front desk receptionist about the lack of masks and she said she’d handle it, but nothing was done. Steer clear if you have any concerns about COVID.

Absolutely amazing results! Jesa is absolutely amazing. My hair has never looked or felt this good! I’ve gotten so many compliments already and my husband was totally blown away when I got home lol. I definitely recommend this hair salon!

Staff was nice and the color was well done. I just thought it was way too expensive. I always go to high end salons but this was over the top. Hard to walk out of there for under $250.00. Finding parking was also a hassle.

I have been there there for a trim but she cut more than what i told her and the length got short as i have a long hair and im not happy about it at all. Other than that i liked the bangs that i got and the styling.

The best salon in savannah, hands down! The staff is extremely nice, the stylists are extremely talented, and they give you exactly what you’re looking for every time. As a bonus, they also give you tips on how to style your new cut and ways to keep your color looking fresh. The view of the river is also a nice bonus!

They listened to everything I had to say and did exactly what I wanted. I really enjoyed that they worked in teams so you are never sitting and waiting like at other salons. Ive tried many salons in Savannah and this is hands-down my favorite. There is nothing better than getting your hair cut while overlooking the beautiful Savannah river. It is a friendly and professional staff and Ive never had a bad haircut here from Demi, my preferred stylist. As a bonus, its right next to some great shopping. Highly recommend!

I am visiting Savannah from Washington, D.C. I had my hair colored and cut by Lindsey Hurt and wow! She did an amazing job! I went a little crazy during quarantine and played with some unconventional hair colors on my bleach blonde hair and she was able to effectively take the blue-green tint out. She did a great job with framing my face and melting my natural brown roots to the bright ashy blonde I had been and I absolutely love it. On top of that, the price was over 1/2 of that I was paying in D.C. (seriously, color and cuts with senior stylists are over $300!) I will absolutely be back to see Lindsey next time I am in Savannah!

BaiLee was amazing!!!! So sweet and gave me exactly the cut I was looking for. Everything was clean, safe, and Covid-19 compliant. Before arriving I received a detailed email with information to confirm my appointment date and time which was super helpful. Roots is amazing, I can not say enough good things about my experience there!

I’ve gone here a few times but my last experience was not at all like the others. I sent an email hoping to get some type of clarity of what happened and i have yet to get a response. It’s been 2 weeks!!!!! I schedule an appointment for a balayage, do you think i got that? NO. After a week my hair looked exactly the same as when i first walked in. I spent over 400$. I got charged for a balayage and a root smudge but all she did was a root smudge if that. I tried to return product an hour after because i just felt even more upset after leaving that i spent more money to try to help my hair . I got told the only reason my second appointment was free was because i bought product not because my hair wasn’t how i wanted it!!!!! Customer service was completely rude and i still haven’t heard a word back from them.So if you’d like to spend almost 500$ on your hair for it to look exactly the same please go here!!!!

If your are choosing this place, make sure you get a price before you get the service because you might go in expecting one price and then find out that you are paying way more than expected. Not only will you get a bunch of excuses to why they overcharged but they will not take care of you if you didn’t like the service.Be wise when you schedule an appointment, and make sure you do your research on the stylist.

I’m not the type of person to complain, but this place definitely deserves a bad review. I felt like I got overcharged for simple work that I could have gotten elsewhere for cheaper, but I decided to come here because i had a great experience the first time I came. Although, the second time, I wanted something different & I made the mistake of going with someone else who was supposedly even more experienced. First of all, I did not get the style or color I wanted and even though they knew I was very unhappy they did not want to fix it to how I wanted it nor did they want to refund. In my opinion, if you’re going to overcharge, please be aware of what type of staff you have!! Because clearly I didn’t get what I wanted the color was incorrect, and I’m sure a few highlights are not a balayage, but in their opinion it was!

Ive been seeing Meghan Amos of Roots Salon for 10 years, and I LOVE the staff here. Everyone is so accommodating, and even as a client it is apparent that they are truly an empowered and incredibly talented TEAM of women. Their work is impeccable, they are informative, and they are professional. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

WARNING !I went to this salon on August 10th. Lindsey was my hairstylist. I told her very simple what I wanted. I just wanted platinum blonde highlights added to my already blonde hair. I even showed her pictures. Simple right? No. Not only did she make my hair grey and brown, but she chemically burnt my scalp. This cost me close to $300 for keeping it in my hair for an hour before I was able to bleach my hair with my box hair dye. I contacted the owner, Susan. She responded in a nonchalant email. I responded and asked for the refund and I never heard from her again. I tried to add pictures but it won’t let me. I lost $300, take your money elsewhere.

Kara did such a great job on my hair and I will be going back to see her again! She was very nice and Went above to make sure I felt better again after neglecting my hair during pregnancy and getting my hair back on track after a bad haircut I had!

I had bridal hair and makeup done. As I was from out of town, I was a bit nervous to do this without a trial, but Kenzy looked at a few Pinterest images and worked magic, creating the perfect look. The salon was incredibly responsive, always promptly answering any emails and calls as things were a bit uncertain during this time regarding scheduling. The location and view is picturesque and the salon is very clean. I had a great experience here and would highly recommend their services. Thank you!

This was my second appointment with Ashlynn and both appointments left me really happy with my hair! I color my hair often and she makes it feel really healthy with very even color, exactly how I want it. The cut was perfect too, she really cares about your hair and doesn’t rush or cut corners like other hair stylists I’ve had. The environment is very relaxing and inviting too.Love this place!

I came to Savannah Georgia from the southern tip of Illinois. My fiancé and I were planning to get married during our visit September 25th thru October 3rd. I went online to look for a place to get my hair and makeup professionally done for the wedding. I was very impressed with your salon’s webpage. Making an appointment was so easy. Savannah was my stylist and she did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup! My husband could not stop telling me how beautiful I looked! I felt so special that day and Savannah was a top notch professional. I would definitely recommend Southern Roots Salon and would visit again next time I’m in Savannah Georgia ❤️

This was my second time going to this salon. The first time was lovely, but this time was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had having a service. A cut that was supposed to be an hour ended up being 2.5 hrs of waiting. My stylist was also doing two others hair at the same time (actually three if you count the girl who finished halfway through and the girl who replaced her) and so she barely had time to talk to me. Instead, her associate took over my haircut which would have been fine if I was helped properly. It took them over 30 minutes for them to talk to me while I was sitting in the waiting room. Then, I had a consultation with the associate and she decided that a hair treatment (5-10 minute long!) would be good. I waited for 45 minutes with that treatment in my hair. Then, the cut was done by my stylist, who is very talented, but it was so rushed and the cut showed it. I also was denied the cut I wanted because she thought the cut she was doing would look better. I appreciate the advice, but going against what I asked for is not good. The salon looks good but is not professional and I have had 3+ friends confirm the same sort of experience from there too. Definitely do not go if you want an overpriced cut that will take too long and an experience that will disappoint you.

I recently visited to have a Brazilian Blowout. I drove from Charleston, SC as our salons are still closed. After my appointment I told my husband that I may drive down to RSS every time I need a blowout:-) Bailee was super fast, fun to talk to, and talented. She even offered to add on a cut, which I had not booked thinking there would not be enough time. The salon itself is beautiful, the view is amazing. I will make a point to visit again, even though I live out of state.

I’m not one to typically write reviews unless it’s 5 star or 1 star... At Roots with Christina my colorist I had a 5 star experience. I box dyed my hair and it was a disaster(almost orange-was going for soft blonde) she spent 4 hours on my hair doing a color correction then soft blonde baylayage. Looks great and I will be returning! I wish Google would let me post photos of the before and after because it is AMAZING!

Pis poor planning on scheduling appointments and super unprofessional how they didn’t have the courtesy to call my wife to ask if shed like to reschedule or to inform her that they are running behind. Instead they’ll have her sit there for nearly an hour waiting for nothing. Tired of entitled businesses and owners. Literally the first review ive ever left for anything.. im doing this because my wife is too nice to say anything! How can you have staff running your bussiness like this.. especially in times like these! Their customer service should be their highest priority during these challenging times.. yet they fumbled the ball terribly. We will surely take our support somewhere else.

What a treat visiting Roots Southern Salon! It is like none other. Starting with entering the front door the special guest treatment from everyone there is professional and heartfelt. As you walk through you see and hear the stylists passionately listening and advising their clients on plans to meet their individual wants and needs. There is no usual gossipy chit chat--these women are smart, interesting, fun & top-notch professionals. They seem to be sisters instead of coworkers. If you have never been there I recommend a visit & see for yourself. Oh yeah, the view is awesome!!

It took me a long time to go to someone I trusted to do my hair and Brittany Dickerson has been an absolute blessing. She always works with me on exactly what I want and even though I have lightened my hair numerous times, it still remains very healthy and that is one thing I am very very thankful for. I highly recommend Brittany, from her enthusiastic demeanor to her professionalism, you absolutely will not be disappointed with her services.

Roots is hands down the best salon in Savannah! Located downtown with a stunning view of the river, it’s just as gorgeous on the inside as it is on the outside. Everyone is super friendly and professional, but my personal favorite is Demi. If you need your hair colored, she’s your girl. I have been going to her for about two years now and this is the happiest I have ever been with my hair in my entire life. She is also fabulous with bridal hair and any type of makeup. Not only is she amazing at what she does, you can tell that she truly loves it. She always makes me feel welcome and special and she treats all of her clients like family. I can’t recommend her and this salon enough!

I recently moved to Savannah and found Roots Southern during a google search of course. Ashlynn was my assigned stylist and I received the best hair cut Ive ever gotten. She was nice, informative when I asked questions, and recommended a great product I had never used before. Needless to say, Im more than content with my experience here!

After giving Roots a try after reading online reviews I will not be going back. I have gotten a full highlight and cut many many times at this point and know that it should not take more than two hours. I was at Roots for 3.5 hours, and I was the first customer of the day. I cannot imagine how long it would have taken if I came later in the day. I was passed off to associates time after time while the stylist bounced around between multiple clients. I was asked if I had ever used certain products before and if I was interested, but never was told saying yes would add almost $100 to my bill. The haircut itself took 5 minutes, but it took almost an hour just to blow dry and put a loose curl in my hair. Overall my hair does not look anything like the picture I showed Shelby (which was a picture of my own hair the last time I got it done at my old salon), and I ended up paying twice more than what I had ever paid in the past. I had products ready for me and on my bill at checkout that I never even discussed with my stylist. The ladies at the front desk rang everything up as one big bill. I had to ask them to ring up the products separate so I did not have to tip based on the price with them added in, which they seemed annoyed about. Overall it was a very unenjoyable experience with $350 dollars wasted. I would not recommend and will not be going back.

I had my first experience this afternoon at Roots Southern Salon and I am absolutely blown away. Taylor was amazing. She is professional, educated, personable, and all around a rock star! The service I received today has set the bar so high for me in the future for a spa service. I am a Effingham/Savannah native but currently live in PA and I will definitely be back again to see Taylor during my visits home.

If you haven’t booked an appointment with Taylor yet, you’re missing out! She works her magic on my brows any time I need them freshened up. I’ve recently made her my go to for facials also! I felt like I was lacking the pregnancy glow I couldn’t wait to get once we found out we were expecting. When the glow never came, I turned to Taylor! After two facials (with dermaplaning), I’m feeling smoother, brighter & tighter! Can’t wait for the next one!

I absolutely loved it here! I just moved to the area in April of this year and had a hard time finding a decent place I could trust to just touch my hair. They were all very kind and all knew what they were doing and did exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. I had dark hair and was trying to go lighter which I couldnt do right away and Im thankful they didnt try to get it that light because it wouldve fried my hair. They explained the process and helped me understand. The prices might be a little expensive for some but I think they are great for the job they do and the time they spend making sure you get what you want. You want good hair, you have to pay a little more!The view is absolutely beautiful as well! Right by the water in downtown Savannah.I will definitely be going back!!!

Mackenzie gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had! I moved to Savannah from Atlanta and was used to great quality and I have found the same great quality at Roots Southern! Mackenzie was very knowledgeable and recommended some very nice hair products as well!

Love this salon! A true southern experience worth trying whether visiting or a resident! The atmosphere is unique to the area! Who wouldn’t love to get pampered while overseeing the Savannah river? From the time you walk in to coffee or southern tea, glimpses of southern charm from the decor and saving the best part for your pampering! My stylist, Bailee, makes me feel welcome and listens to my input. What’s not to love here? The area seems to have higher prices, but when you feel like a million dollars when you leave, it’s worth it! Thanks to bringing the southern experience to hairstyling!

Im very picky about what salons I trust withy hair. I cant seem to find a salon in the area I live that I like. (Ive tried several places.) Therefore, I wait to get my hair done until I visit my parents (whom live in the Savannah area) just so I can go to Roots. Thats how much I like this place.
