Service Department is crooked.Zero Turn under warranty and had to get Gravely involved to cover diagnostics charges that were never authorized to be done. Bought a zero turn here because of the loaner program if my mowers had problems and spent 6 weeks trying to get in to these guys. And even when I finally got it in for warranty issues they still didn’t have a loaner until I basically said I would just run it till it blows up then. Then they magically had a loaner to use.Would avoid this dealer at all cost!

These guys are awesome. I arrived 4 minutes late and Jonathan let me in - to get all the parts I needed to fix (hopefully this will be it 🙂) my push mower. The first time I came - a couple days prior, Jonathan printed the assembly and parts key for me to keep. This was very helpful. I ended up needing more parts and I already had the part numbers as well as assembly instructions! These guys are calm and friendly professionals. Will purchase my next Toro mower here because I know I will have expert knowledge and service help in the future. Great insurance for a single woman! Thank you Jonathan at Minnesota Equipment!

Jonathan,Just a quick note to say thanks for your guidance on the purchase of a mower. I have been very pleased with the tractor & bagging set up as you suggested. I also wanted to let you know that Bob was the utmost professional when delivering the unit to my home. He took the time to walk me through each of the features of the tractor & bagger. He also walked me through general maintenance and upkeep of the machine. What I was most impressed with was his recommendation for me to take a couple passes with the mower while he was there to make sure I was completely comfortable in the operation, set up and even went as far as offering some tips on how to maneuver around obstacles, hills and uneven ground in my particular yard. Bob far and away exceeded my expectations on delivery. It helped that we both ran in some of the same circles in prior automotive careers, however I wanted to let you know how much Bob impressed me. Thanks for the great product, service & professionalism.

I went there and spent $5400 on a new Toro Titan lawn mower. I asked them if the prechecked everything and they said yes.. it cost me 80 bucks to rent the trailer. When I got it home I took it off the trailer and engaged the blades and the whole mower shook and rattled. I called them and they told me to bring it back. I am still waiting for a response on how they are going to handle this, im not very happy right now and requested that I could purchase a different mower but was told I had to wait to see if they could fix my brand new mower...I will update this review when I find out what happens next, but for now Im not very happy.☹ UPDATE the crew at Minnesota Equipment took care of the problem and I ended up with a new and better mower that was delivered to my house. I do recommend this place.

Great service!! I went into the store to trade in my machine and they gave me an honest price on both units but I decided to wait another year to see if gravely updates there pro line. Even after I decided against the trade in they treated me with respect and as a valued customer during my purchases at the parts department.

The first time I came in for a new blower was a great experience; they had a harder to find model ready to go for the right price. It was a slower purchase process, but I got what I needed.Unfortunately, the second time I came was lacking. My old snow blower died, and I needed a new one that night to clear out my driveway. They had 6 of the units I wanted, built and ready. The refused to sell it to me that night, saying their delivery/assembly person wasnt in. I looked at the obviously assembled blowers in front of me, and they told me they need the one guy they have on staff who can check it out. I could have it another day. I told them I want to buy it now, theres 8 inches of snow I need to clear (and Im looking at assembled units while saying this). At this point I wouldve even spent more on a nicer machine to avoid another hour of driving in snow and traffic. I offered this..... Do they not know how to put the handlebars on a snow blower/use a wrench correctly? If so, thats highly concerning - these things are not challenging to assemble.I told them they could take my AmEx, sell it to me, and put it in my truck as its assembled or Id go to Home Depot to buy the exact same thing. They didnt care, and watched me place the order from Home Depot right there. All they had to say was that Home Depot didnt carry it, which I can confirm is a lie as I gave Home Depot my $ instead and got a beautiful machine.Im not going to waste my time with these clowns again. If they wont even take my money when I literally beg them to, they dont deserve it.

Worked with Mike and Jonathan and they were awesome. We just moved from Michigan and my snow blower “broke apart”. They fixed it within an hour and did not charge me but made suggestions on what I needed. It was very reasonable. Instead of doing the suggested fix and I decided on buying a new one. NO PRESSURE it was. My suggestion. So you if you want knowledgeable and professional people come here! Way better than a big box

2 experiences with Minnesota Equipment neither of which was very positive.Brought my lawnmower (with a 3 year warranty) in because it wouldnt start in year 2 last summer, they did fix it with an engine adjustment and charged me around $70. I explained to them that it should be covered under warranty, but they refused to submit it as a claim and told me to take it up with the company. Not what I would expect from a customer service standpoint. Customers shouldnt deal with that service dealers should.I decided today to give them another shot as my same mower wouldnt start up for the first mow of the spring. I called ahead and the guy was pleasant and told me they would take a look at it and to bring it in. I loaded it up in the car, drive it over there, and when I go to check in they then tell me it will be a 5 week wait. I was not happy, fine that you are that busy, but that is something that should be communicated on the phone before I drive there. Another customer service shortfall leaving me frustrated. 0 for 2.

We were going to buy our new snowblower from a big box store but went to Minnesota Equipment on a whim. Were so glad we did! The salesman was very knowledgeable and went out of their way to help us. I recently purchased a John Deere X350 from Minnesota Equipment and I had a great experience. The Sales staff was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions about the various models I was considering. The delivery guy, Joe, was incredible. He delivered the mower and spent about 30 minutes going over the features with me and my family. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Ill be doing more business with Minnesota Equipment in the future!!!

I have purchased several items from MN Equipment. I recently had some issues with a snow blower that I had purchased 1 yr ago (2017). Jonathon (mgr) listened to my story and provided a solution without creating any inconvenience. MN Equipment is a great local company that provides a variety of outdoor equipment and a wealth of product knowledge. They are very nice and they are very hopeful. I have a small John Deere tractor and I have been working with them for the parts. I go into the store and get the parts I need to get the tractor going again with very little time spent in the store. I needed a new cable and a battery for the tractor they check other places to get the battery instead of charge me for the same one that I would have paid 60.00 at their place. I only paid 34.00 at the other place and a little more driving. The guy said it would be a little more time to drive but I will save on the battery for my tractor.

I went in for a part for a lawn tractor, the part they sold me was in an open box and defective . I also purchased set of spark plugs that turned out to be the wrong spark plugs and almost ruined my engine . After the part did not fix my machine I took it in for service and they told me it would be 5 weeks out before looking at it. I asked if they would sell me a new tractor because I could not wait for the long wait time for there service . A salesman’s said he did not have the model I wanted in stock and would be two months before they got one in.The X350 is a very common model lawn tractor. I asked if he could check one of his other 5 stores in our area and he said he would, took my name and number but never called me back . I felt Like he had no interested in selling me a new lawn tractor. After a week of no call back, I called a different dealer 25 miles away and bought a new x350 with bagger the same day I called. Very sad when this dealer is 1 mile from me and every time I visits this store it’s the same. I keep trying to buy local but refuse to beg them to sell me something. Horrible horrible service. I will continue to drive a half hour past them to get all my parts and service in the future. Enough is enough!!!

The last owner made it miserable to shop store was called weekend freedom. Went it there new owner ship Minnesota equipment. Worked with the store manager very knowledgable great sales and service. Bought my new X350 and echo 2620 trimmer. Lots of top notch lawn and equipment. Come in and check out their store!

I had been shopping for a zero turn mower for several months, at several different dealers around the metro. When I arrived at Minnesota Equipment (ME) in Savage, I was greeted by Daryl O. He heard my needs and directed me to a Gravely ZT 54XL mower. When he brought it around for a test drive, he noticed an uncharacteristic vibration and brought it to my attention. His exact words were I dont want you to buy this mower until we find out what that vibration is being caused by. Imagine that, a salesman turning down a potential sale by wanting to make sure the product was sound! I agreed to his recommendation and a few days later, Daryl called me back. It turned out to be something minor that was easily fixed. I returned for another test drive to a flawless machine which I did purchase that evening.The reason I went back to ME was, quite simply, Daryl. His upfront honesty made all the difference. As a side bonus, the Gravely ZT 54XL is an awesome machine! Thank you Daryl for your integrity and thank you Gravely for manufacturing a quality product!Sincerely,Dave

I met Jonathan at the Northwest Sportshow and questioned him about the best mower for my yard. He stated he would bring out both mowers I was looking at to demo on my property. Several weeks later, he came over after closing the store one night and we tested both on my yard. The zero turn mower, which I preferred, did not do well on the steep slopes. However, the lawn tractor did the trick. There was never any pressure to buy and Jonathan was more than helpful with the questions I had. He was very accommodating to my schedule and great to deal with!

Would give zero stars if possible. I’ve called and called and called each time was told Jason would call me back and he never has. Keep in mind that I already spent over $5000 with him even though he was rude when I was in the store but yet I still bought it through them and he still won’t get back to me. Horrible customer service just horrible.

HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE customer service & they tried to rip me off by trying to sell me a part at twice the going price! I walked into the shop and of the 3 guys standing there, not one of them would acknowledge that I was even there... and there was no one else in the shop. The manager should be fired for allowing such a toxic environment.

This place is dishonest.I took my 1 year old snowthrower into MN Equipment due to an engine surging problem. This snowthrower was only used 3 times the prior year due to light snowfall. I followed the instructions for storing it over the summer (fuel stabilizer, ran the carburetor dry, etc), but it still had issues running. I took it to MN Equipment assuming that they would clean the carburetor to resolve the issue as that’s what everyone online says to do. Well, they call me up after they look at it and tell me I need a new carburetor, which would cost me 2x the cost of cleaning the original one. I asked why they wouldn’t just clean it and they said if cleaning doesn’t work, I’d just have to buy a new carburetor anyway. So their recommendation on a 1 year old snowthrower that’s been used 3 times is to replace the carburetor that’s under warranty and cost twice as much as cleaning it? Not only that, but the carburetor was backordered for some unknown amount of time and they could have just cleaned the thing very quickly. All of this is happening when my father-in-law owns 2 late 70’s snowthrowers with their original carburetors. Needless to say I picked the snowthrower up and didn’t let them do any work on it.In summary, this place will treat you like you know nothing about the item you’re taking in, and in my case, try to get you to spend way more money then you should. They assumed I wasn’t mechanically inclined and tried to take advantage of that. I would stay far away from this place.

We are a commercial company with Gravely mowers and Stihl Equipment. Although we typically get any replacement parts from the nearest Stihl dealer, about 5 mins away, we get everything through gravely. I typically do most of the repairs and all the maintenance for our machines. If there is something wrong engine wise that I cannot or dont have time to repair, It gets sent here. From a commercial standpoint, they are pretty good, sometimes the part can be in stock sometimes they have to order it. Turn around is OK for commercial, sometimes within a few days sometimes longer. We keep backup equipment so if something does go down, we arent in a hurry to get it fixed. I think some people should understand that and know that it WONT be done the day after you leave it, thats how most places are. Sales are fine although I know gravely stihl products very well and dont necessary need to be sold something. Ive dealt with most the guys there, mainly Jayson, and there good guys. The one problem Ive had was with one of the techs. Brought a ZTR in because it was surging in the hydro lines and not able to reverse. Upon picking it up, noticed it started doing it again. The Tech said, and I quote how often do you need to use reverse anyways gave him the are you serious look and loaded it on the trailer. Did some checking around and found the Hydro oil filter was loose, letting air in. Something I should have checked first half but DEFINATELY should have been checked by them. This is why i started diagnosing and repairing my own stuff. I do not believe that guy works there anymore
