Tried to get a patch sewn on my daughters karate too. Vera couldn’t get “No” out of her mouth fast enough. Crash course in professionalism for owner would allow this business a chance.

AMAZING JOB! I called her a week before the wedding date for a last minute alteration, due to COVID changing everything, and she graciously accepted and had it ready within 3 days! The dress was altered perfectly in the lace corset section and for the inches taken off the bottom. I was so thankful for her beautiful work! This is my second time for formal dress alterations with her, & I would come here again and again for any alterations :)

She did an amazing job on my gown for my sons wedding on short notice. It looked wonderful.

Vera does an excellent job! I had two lined curtain panels that needed to be shortened. They look very professional. I would highly recommend Vera. The turn around time was very good and the price was reasonable.

First off, I can not say enough good things about this shop. My family recommended someone before Vera and I took my wedding dress in and not only was the pick up date pushed back twice, when I got it they took way to much in no longer zipped up. I was in tears and my friend told me to take it to Vera to see what could be done. Once she took a look at the dress, she told me that the previous shop after taking in the dress didn’t leave any material whatsoever to let out, I asked her if there was anything that could be done, she told me that we could take out the zipper and somehow make a corset back, she said that she could do it, but that would be a major major alterationAnd most people don’t wanna pay that kind of money. I told her I didn’t care, this is my wedding dress and I didn’t have time to wait months and months just for a dress to come in and then for alterations to be done, I’m getting married in just a few months. After two fittings and about a month and a half (like she said, major work) my dress fit like a glove, Vera hennessy is a Miracle worker, she also did a great job on my husbands suit.

They did a great job on my suit and they fixed my wife’s wedding gown that a previous shop beachside Butchered too shreds. After the girls finished it looked like a new dress, I wouldn’t have anyone touch cloths that already cost an arm and a leg unless it was Vera. When she says she knows what she’s doing, she KNOWS what she is doing. I like that she tells you how it is; if it’s not going to look right then it will NOT look right. 10/10 would go again

I took my Great Grandmothers rocking chair in to be re-covered. They did an amazing job! This chair is over 150 years old and I cant believe they were able to make it look new again. I had them make some throw pillows with the extra fabric and they look great! When I told her that they looked fancier than I expected, she said, why make a pillow at all, if youre not going to do it right. And thats exactly what they do, they do things properly, or not at all. Thank you!!

Vera is awesome and she does an amazing job on all her work. I definitely recommend her.

This is the best tailor I have ever had!! Vera works miracles for me all the time be it alterations on my uniforms or making my vintage finds fit just right. She has also made beautiful cushion covers for my patio furniture and doesnt mind my tiny projects like shoe bags and hot water bottle covers. Big or small projects, she does them all perfectly and professionally.

They do the best work beach side, I had a dress that another shop had messed up. Lucky for me the other beachside shop was so bad they didn’t do the sewing right and all the material was still inside the seems, Vera fixed my dress and I was able to get it within a week.

It started off as a good experience. Hem on prom dress looked good and slit that was added to the dress. The trouble started when my daughter went and put the dress on and saw sequin strings dangling!! I took the dress back and asked if it can be fixed. She proceeded to say she didnt do it. My main concern was can she fix it in time for the prom in 3 days. She insisted she didnt do it but should be able to get it done by Saturday the day of the prom. She was more concerned about it wasnt her fault instead of trying to find a way to fix it. I left the dress there. While in the parking lot my daughter called and said she left a nasty message saying it is going to $30 since it wasnt her fault. I proceeded back in the store and grabbed my dress.

I’ve unfortunately had two negative experiences here. First time was a few years ago when I came in and asked Vera about doing alterations on my wedding dress. ‘I don’t do wedding dresses’ was her response. Umm ok, so I found someone else. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt since she’s close by and I came in and asked about a simple hemming on some pants. She said it could be done in a couple weeks..a couple weeks for a simple hem?! No thanks. I ended up asking my neighbor and it was done the next day. Maybe she needs more staff? Who knows? I will never make the mistake by walking into her shop again. I’m surprised it’s still up and running with such poor customer service.

Vera was wonderful. I had some really nice outdoor patio cushions that were damaged in a cleaning process and she saved the day fixing them for me. I cant say enough good things about the service and the quality of work.

They ALWAYS take the best of care with my clothes and...make dull clothes into fashionable ones!

My wife wanted the patio chairs reupholstered. This is the place to get it done.

The worst customer service ever. Vera told me she wouldn’t put a zip in my dress the way it was made because “i don’t have the time.” She went on to scold me as i was simply asking questions and didn’t understand what she was saying. In response to her ‘huffing’ i asked if i had done something wrong.... “i don’t need new customers- I don’t have time!”I will gladly take my services else where. Never will I recommend or step foot close to this horrible place.

Vera at Tailoring & Alterations - Sewing of All Kind repaired the hems on two shirts when the work done by the lady at the cleaners in Atlantic Plaza fell apart. Veras hems are professional, and will not come apart.

They are the best. You will be really impressed like I did. Very good !
