Ordered blinds. They were either measured incorrectly or manufactured incorrectly. In any event neither the saleswoman or the installer bothered to check the order prior to installing. When I looked at the install I noticed 4 holes in each of 2 doors that I ordered blinds for. When I asked the installer what happened he told me the bottom clips that hold the blinds in position didnt fit so he took it upon himself to drill new holes. He never brought it to my attention PRIOR to the install or apparently felt it wasnt a big deal.I spoke with the saleswoman at least twice and she never even offered to come over and look for herself. Cathy was her name. I suspect had this been a large dollar order they might have paid more attention. She did offer to send her husband over to patch the holes, but at that point I was done with them.I told Cathy I would not be paying the balance owed and expected my deposit refunded. She said the owner would be calling to speak with me.Never happened
Shutters finally installed two months (!) later than promised. Product fine. Customer service nonexistent. Numerous times failed to follow up as promised when inquires made about the delay. Installer four hours late and could not find the time to call & notify. Owner promised some restitution due to numerous delays. Never happened. These people are all hat & no cattle.
I believe that when homeowners with a history of roller-shade failures in a public area of their 2003 home call a business, like Lolos Blind & Drape Studio, that says it prides itself on its window-coverings expertise and fine customer service, and the business sends for swatches and dispatches their saleswoman and installer to consult (later, after approving the project, following up with printed technical materials from two different manufacturers and ultimately providing detailed quotes), that such consumers should not be dismissed abruptly because, as stated in an email, the three windows and one door in a breakfast nook arent square.A case of sellers remorse? Why say, Yes, can and will do! if the real assessment is Maybe?A new memoir, Pretending Is Lying, by Belgian artist Dominique Goblet was just published to rave reviews. Goblet is right, isnt she? Pretending, or even hoping or assuming, is lying. I prefer honesty and a warm embrace to duplicity and a slap in the face.In my experience with Lolos, unexpected rejection arrived just one day after quotes were received. From first contact, I had told the office manager that apertures and portal were probably not square, even sending her a written expression of concern about this from a friend who sells fabrics and was shown a picture of one of our windows. I also told the manager that we had a cornice that we love. (The cornice precludes an outside mount.) All windows and our door were soon examined in person by Lolos saleswoman and installer. Measurements were taken by both individuals, who arrived prepared and seemed to us sincere, warm, prepared, organized, and focused. Bracing resolve and considerable confidence were expressed. Full disclosure: When she terminated Lolos relationship with us, the office manager apologized, in writing, for any inconvenience this may cause you (on a weekend in season after so much time wasted????), but how to make up for time and effort lost, and why didnt these self-proclaimed seasoned pros reject the assignment immediately as our windows and/or walls didnt, in a matter of days, become less level and plumb, precluding, in their opinion, a successful installation of roller shades? One might argue that Lolos owner and employees are perfectionists and slow thinkers with personal problems and a lot of customers clamoring for attention, but I found their unanticipated rejection of us and our needs startling and hurtful. They declined to refer us to other companies when I requested this courtesy. True professionals with high standards dont suddenly rethink their ability to get a job done right after an in-home consultation, a healthy, candid exchange of detailed emails, and an agreement that the job could and would be done admirably with new metal pins and brackets replacing old plastic ones and premium hem bars. Many in the trade will tell you that no windows and doors in Florida are square. Our sills, as measured with a level by my husband, are square, but the windows are surely not. With shades lowered in place, they are obviously not. If customers can accept some light shining through on either or both sides of shades and/or visible sides of windows, this should not discourage progress or end a project critical to aesthetic satisfaction and privacy. It can be challenging to work with anxious homeowners whose previous window-treatments failed and failed again (one window and the door shade just falling off unexpectedly at different times), but arent capable and compassionate business people supposed to be able to do this with patience, tact, and cheerful optimism? Some six years have passed since the original work was done. The designer moved far away. The fabricator died too young. It seemed to me that it was time for a fresh new beginning with assured and reassuring contractors. Apparently, upon reflection, Lolos didnt share my conviction and determination.
Absolutely the best place to order blinds. Anne provides personal service and is very knowledgeable about products.
The service here was amazing. I needed parts my blinds and they were knowledgeable and efficient in finding what I needed. THEY WILL BE MY FIRST CHOICE WHEN I NEED NEW BLINDS AGAIN.
Th owner and staff were marvellous and answer all my questions returning my calls promptly.
I wish every company was like LOLSs blinds and I wish every company had people like Leisa who works there. I recently needed to replace a blind so I went to LOLOs and ordered one that seemed to be the same as the old one I had but when it came it it wasnt but that was not LOLOs fault. Anyway to make a long story short Leisa couldnt have been nicer and she actually had to reorder it twice but she did with no complaints or any problems and the one I finally got was EXACTLY like the one I bought over 10 years ago. I really recommend anyone looking for blinds to go here and Leisa will make your experience extremely pleasant. Also Beau (the installer) couldnt be nicer either! These two are the BEST!!
Lolas did not deliver what they promised--either at original delivery or at requested follow-up. Note that Lolas is not currently listed on Angies List or at Better Business Bureau of Southwest Florida.
