The location is ok and the amenities are ok, but the overnight staff Jen is highly judgmental and very unprofessional. I do not feel welcome here. I’ve traveled and visited many PF locations all around the country from East Coast to West Coast and back again, but never have I felt as unwelcome as I do here! She thinks she is beyond reproach and her attitude is exceptionally haughty, prideful, and arrogant!Update: 9/25/2021 @2:22pmSo, they replied that I should talk with someone next time I come in, but the point is I don’t feel welcomed there. I usually come at night because that is when it’s convenient for me but she is the one working and the one I have issue with, so that doesn’t really solve anything. Her last comment to me was that she always wins games. Little does she know that she’s the only one playing them! Why the heck should I come back there when I have a nationwide membership based in another state?! Her lack of professionalism makes me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. No fear, but who wants to trouble themselves with someone so sour?!

Been with PF for a little over 2 years and I love it. The team is nice and the hydro chairs are a sweet treat after a good work out.

Im visiting from Kansas City - this is a very nice PF. Very clean and not crowded when i was there (late morning).

Very clean, nice facility, enough people in there to to see others moving about but not crowded.

I just got a membership here and worked out there today for the very first time. They have lots of machines, lots of tvs, tanning, hydromassage chairs, and everything is clean and purple!!! Lol Other than all the purple, which is just a bit too much for me, I really like it here, and I will continue to come back and take advantage of everything they have to offer.

The Black Card membership is the best health and fitness has to offer. Equipment is well cared for by staff and members. 24 hr access allows me to work out anytime and its never crowded.

Absolutely love this place no one judges you besides some Karens which you always have.But the staff is wonderful they have jet bed they also have tanning. And a lot of workout machines. 💯👍

Always clean and staff is polite. Extras like tanning, massage chair are great for the price.

Just be submissive and breedable and nobody will bother you. Dont make direct eye contact or they will take it as a threat and will challenge you to a bout. Besides that, good pump 💪

Recently joined here due to the prior gym I was using closing. Couldn’t be happier with the switch! The facility is very clean and staff has been very friendly and helpful. They also offer a service where you meet with a Personal Trainer, Dakota, and he will help you design your own workout plan. Dakota was very knowledgeable, helpful and practical/concise when it came to developing my workout. I appreciated his knowledge but also that he kept it simple and easy to understand. He walked through each of the exercises and ensured my form was correct. This great service along with the other items mentioned are reasons to make this your new gym!

Clean, safe, welcoming environment to go workout. Not intimidating like some places can be for beginners. Dakota was a HUGE help with a free consultation to set up a workout plan for my wife and myself. We are already starting to feel better....sore, but better.

Being from out of town I greatly appreciate Planet Fitness and the consistency I get visiting gyms in new locations! This location was exceptionally clean and spaced according to regulations!

Planet fitness charged me for gym membership to a gym that I’ve never even been there!I Reported to FTC.gov and my bank about this fraud….

Ive been attending this gym for a few months and I love it! Happy and helpful staff, clean environment, and kind gym members as well. Dakota Gier, a trainer on staff at this location, was especially helpful in helping me create a plan for my specific goals and becoming more comfortable with working with new equipment in the gym. I highly recommend this location and working with Dakota, it has been a great experience!

Its a stress free environment where I can go do my workouts and not feel judged by any of the choices I make. Im not being harassed by personal trainers, Im always greeted by friendly staff, and the hydro massage chairs are also a huge plus. Thanks for creating such a wonderful environment to workout and be healthy!

This was my 1st time back since your opening year. Im glad to be back. I was the only one on the 4 piece equipment I felt safe. I also noticed others there without masks. Are masks mandatory.

I had to reschedule my meeting with the fitness trainer and the staff was able to get me a new appointment so fast and the very next day. Dakota was super helpful and very knowledgeable about everything in the gym and many many different workouts. He was able to help me make a workout plan that fit my goals and needs! They need to monitor cell phone use people some people sit on a machine for over 20 minutes on their phones and then dont use the equipment.

Not about this gym in particular but the company. Around the Clock fitness went out of business. I assume Planet Fitness purchased the contracts of former members. They sent an email to my son, which landed in his junk mail because he has no relationship with Planet Fitness. They then began charging our credit card for a membership plus some other unknown amount. How can club purchase the names from a failed business and presume to “own” these people and have the right to start charging cards with unauthorized amounts? ABC out of Sherwood Arkansas is who the charge is from.

Honestly I had never considered joining a Planet Fitness. But someone recommended it so I went to visit and I didnt expect much. The black card membership is kinda unbelievable.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for several years and absolutely love it. My girlfriend recently took a job in Sarasota, so Ive started using this location. The staff is extremely professional and great to interact with. The facility itself is very clean. The staff is constantly wiping down equipment. Local regulations currently mandate wearing a mask when not actively working out. This is another area that the staff shows great professionalism. They enforce the mask policy without being overbearing or rude.Great place, highly recommend!!

Great for our whole family from my parents to my grandson! Planet Fitness is the best! It is convenient (open 24 hours) and we were even able to workout at nearby Planet Fitness gyms when we were on vacation in different states. The Sarasota Town & Country Plaza is our home gym. We love the staff, who treat us like family. Cleanliness is second to none! Even before COVID we were impressed by their cleaning routine. We would observe staff cleaning equipment throughout the day (never saw that at the other gym). They keep the equipment in tip top shape and have cleaning stations strategically located with encouragement and reminders to self-clean. After COVID, they kicked it up a mile. Its amazing! We cant say enough about Dakota, the trainer, who met with us to develop customized workout plans. He is very knowledgeable and a great communicator. We enjoy our time at the gym and the workouts are helping us accomplish our goals. We appreciate Anthony who has been an invaluable resource, has a great personality, and is always very helpful. Arianne is so personable and is doing a great job managing! Everyone is terrific!

Equipment was dirty and broke. They also don’t have a good dumbbell selection.

Clean gym with good machines.. But they do need more and heavier curl bars, sixty pounds isn’t enough.

I had the Black card and it took me 7 months to cancel, once I finally did they still charged me. They serve fat for free and have horrible management but the pizza should be enough to know they don’t care about you

Really helpful and friendly staff; plenty of options for equipment, with most having at least two so youre not waiting on someone else to finish up; things are kept very clean as well

Come to find out today that my old gym ATC fitness sold all memberships AND billing information to planet fitness. And this company took it upon themselves to sign me up for their gym and bill my card without authorization. A notice was supposed to be sent out but unfortunately alot of people did not recieve it.....convenient. Horrible business practice that I cant believe is even legal.

The staff is wonderful the facilities are just incredibly clean and shiny theres all kinds of cleaning and then and sanitizing for hands and machines people that work there are very helpful and nice and then there are trainers that come up to you and ask you if you need any assistance with the working any machine I find it just a wonderful place Im very happy I joined I love the hydro chair they have for after a workout to get a massage its just wonderful best of workout place Ive ever been in thank you so much

Terrible company received an email last week stating im a member of this gym when I never even signed up, when I called I was told they bought my membership from a gym that went out of business. First off only one of the locations went out of business they still have one in cape coral, secondly how is it legal for you to purchase my information and begin disseminating it without me even signing a contract with my previous contract being month to month? Highly suspicious activity. Later in this phone call I asked how I could cancel this and was told I could come in todau to cancel my membership. When I go in the staff there tell me I actually cant cancel today and have to come in tomorrow, because Im not in the system in regards to being able to edit memberships or cancel them...how can someone be in the system but not in the system? I will be taking swift legal action if any of my information is compromised because of the shady business practices of this gym. Go to crunch

They are thieves, I canceled my membership in October, I keep getting paid until March. Call multiple times and they always say that there is no supervisor who will give the message which obviously was not the case. I had to go in person again so that they stopped charging me and even then they have not returned the money a month later. Disappointed!

Clean, not crowded and everyone wears masks

Always very clean! Even the bathrooms, which is a big deal for me. Even before COVID I couldnt stand unclean gyms or locker rooms, so I really appreciate the staffs hard work to keep things clean.Staff is also very friendly! Everyone Ive talked to is fantastic.I highly recommend this gym!

Your employees need little bit of training on how to treat customers. And not going straight to removal of a customer just because I used the water fountain when I didnt know it was closed. No papers that say not to or nothing, just a plastic cup.And not jumping down a customers throat because they dont have a mask on, its VERY HARD to breathe while working out with a mask. Very rude and definitely lost a customer 👋

Just started back to Gym after COVID, closing. I am in the senior age group. I was very pleased with the social distancing and cleanliness of the gym. I felt very comfortable and am grateful to be working out again.

Dont workout here, but the staff-member at the front desk (man with a beard and a hat), was very respectful and quick when I needed to cancel my dads membership due to his early passing.

By far this is the best Planet Fitness I have ever been to. The space is spotless . The equipment is state of the art and all in working order. The locker rooms are super clean and the staff is outstanding . Erik & Dezha have warm and inviting energy . If your considering a beautiful gym with a wonderful staff to match stop by this location. My only complaint is I live in North Port so I will not be able to visit very often.

I love this location and the staff members. I always feel comfortable there, its not crowded, and there is a huge variety of new, clean equipment. Its also small enough to not be intimidating. I really enjoy the small group fitness training sessions and several times Ive had 1x1 training. Ive been impressed with Jimmy as a trainer - hes motivating but down to earth at the same time. The only thing Id change is I wish it had childcare (otherwise it would be 5 stars). Still, Ive been a member of several gyms and this is by far my favorite.

Great staff love this gym

I have been coming to this gym for six months now and I use this facility because it has always been one of the cleanest facilities in the area. However as of recently management has let the sanitation lapse. Lately when I use the and there is hair balls on the floors from two days prior, chunks of soap in the showers on the floor and the floors feel greasy in the showers as though they have not been cleaned for some time. The one toilet stall has a double toilet paper holder and both were empty. Looks like I will be needing to find another facility that cares about the Health and Welfare of its customers

Good morning Planet Fitness representatives,Overall, the fitness center is good. But, the staff needs to be better trained. My wife and I visit your location five times per week. Can the staff please be trained how to trouble-shoot music and televisions? We visited on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 5:00 AM and was told the music and fans were off because of the a fire alarm issue. Then, when we visited on Monday, February 10, 2020, there was no music again. Can the staff be trained to address this problem? Or can there be a backup system such as a portable sound system that be turned on when there are technical difficulties.Thanks!

Drew is an amazing asset to your team. He made my first gym experience very easy-going and non judgmental. Really a well-manned amazing young man. good for PF for hiring him, as he mentioned he was new. Also, it;s great to see parents raising their kids right and with manners in 2019.

Bought a companies book of business and proceed to charge there card at the rate of $32... they normally charge a third of this.Manager was to scared to speak with me on the phone had some little girl do their bidding.Disgusting company think of all the people that dont even look at their statements.

I was a member when I lived in Orlando for 4+ years and loved the relaxed atmosphere. Moved to Sarasota and didnt want to drive to Venice so I havent been to the gym in 3 years. Now with the new location I signed back up and Im so happy that there is the same relaxed no pressure feeling. My workouts are so much better, by feeling comfortable. Thanks again PF.

Most customers, did not wear face masks, which is not good. The place was clean, and good variety of stations.

Love this place. Always feel better leaving then going in but Im happy I made it in!

I go hear about 2 to 3 times a week to walk on a step machine or elliptical, then do the circuit. There are always people using the circuit machines and not doing the full workout. They like to jump in front of you to use the next machine, and look at you like youre crazy when you ask them to please use the machines in the other part of the gym, or to please wipe a machine, or to learn how to do the circuit.

Clean facility, great amenities, friendly staff, never too busy.

I like it, its ideal for someone who wants to stay in shape but its limited in machines and free weights and sometimes it is annoying because theres no many choices and you have to wait or forget about what you got mind and move on.

Overnight Manager Brendan Harass me because I wasnt Wearing my mask properly ok I understood So I Corrected then I looked around and saw costumes not wearing they mask I told him he should walk around and tell everyone to wear they mask and he told me if I had a problem theres the door To leave I told him no and he called police on me.

I love coming here to workout and I come often. My friends and I find it a little uncomfortable that the stair machines are right in front of the men’s restroom? We have caught several people on multiple occasions every time staring and my friend thought she saw one guy taking a picture or video when coming out. This really ruins the experience here sometimes and makes it really uncomfortable. Maybe try a change in the location of these machines.
