Horrible experience with one of the property managers. Was impossible to get a hold of and kept saying she was doing all this work without pay. I was a little confused by this comment considering she is a realtor? Also, very unprofessional and actual yelled at me on the phone. She sounded very inconvenienced. Really disappointed...

Jennette Properties has managed renting our personal condo each winter for the last 5-6 years. They are extremely thorough and responsive and take care to ensure our property stays in good shape. We dont know how they do it, but they always seem to get us great tenants that our neighbors love. We have worked personally with Diane Hunter all these years and highly recommend her!

Used Jeanette management company to manage a rental for a little over a year. Was unimpressed with Bridget Gennett who was my leasing agent. She was abrupt, condescending and borderline rude at times. She represented the renters rather than the owners who hired her and it was apparent that she frequently reacted/quickly answered communications that she hadn’t read carefully. She did not follow through with requirements clearly stated at the onset for the renters to be approved by the board of the community prior to move-in.Repairs/maintenance issues were taken care of in a timely manner however I did not receive any detail of what was done- no receipts- no notification-just noted a general vague charge on my statement deducted from rental income.What a relief it was when the contract was completed and no further interaction was required. Perhaps others at Jeanette properties are more professional and customer service oriented- that was not my experience with Bridget.

I guess there are only a couple options for rental agencies in Sarasota. I called a couple times one week, left messages. Following week I called and finally got through to a sales person, they took my info and never called back. Im surprised to see good reviews since they cant even call me back.At the very least they should state hey we cannot take on new customers, we have too many customers...

Used Jennette Properties to manage one of my homes in the Sarasota area, within a month they had a qualified renter moved in with a 3 year lease. My agent was very accommodating . They handle all of the tenants needs and I collect a check which is nice since we live in New York full time. My wife appreciates that we dont have to send any repair men for incidental issues from across the country, its all handled locally.

I should have read the reviews before working with them. The owner of the company actually tried to break into our unit during the hurricane!!! Thank God we had cameras and threatened to call the police on him. Now they hold our deposit as if you read their reviews many people say they are a scam!! I would not recommend them when there are solid companies like Michael Saunders and zillow. These people had the worst customer service where we would have no AC, Water back up, and leaks from the AC that they didnt repair and tried to charge us for it! STAY AWAY!!!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Perla to help find my in-laws a place to stay for a week while they came to visit from Michigan. It was very last minute and she was very accommodating and worked very hard to find something in our price range. Not only was the condo clean and beautiful, but it was located less than 1min from our house. I cant thank her enough for helping us on such short notice and will definitely be working with her again. She is hard working and really knows the area. Awful. Now I know I should run immediately from this business. Emailed their office, received no response. Stopped off at their Tamiami Trail office. Receptionist said we had to go to Pineapple Avenue office. Asked if she would call to see if an agent would be there. Yes, finally she said she would call. No agent available but did give me name and phone number. Never received a called. Emailed their office, no response. Called, no response. (We dont give up easily.) Saw the other reviews. The other reviews makes a lot of sense. Sorry I didnt look at them first.

I wouldnt suggest calling and inquiring about rentals and ask about less then a month. They dismiss you promptly before asking if a monthly rental would work. Wow well done.

We rented a home from Jeanette Properties and found Rhonda Banks to be very attentive to every question and problem we had. She handled everything in a quick and professional manner.

Do not use this company. I rented a home from them, payed up front for the entire four and a half months. The home flooded and they were a nightmare. They did not help me find a new place to stay and I had to pay for cleaning and the days after the flood. After exhausting myself finding a place on my own to move into, I then had to hire an attorney to get the remainder of my money back. and the entire experience was a nightmare. I have rented homes all over the world, literally and I have NEVER dealt with a company that is this unconcerned with their renters or doing the right thing.

I really thought my pm was wonderful until she tried to cheat me on the percentage from the first, & only renter, which I found, & was assured they would charge 15% because I found them. It was corrected, but none the less I was told that I got the 15%, not the 18% that they took out! Later in April-May, I was told, oh, its too early to book for next years season, -Jan-March! Really? That was it, I was done, bc I had spoken w another pm co that assured me that it wasnt too early. When I went w that co, they rented my property within 3 days! Moral for Jennette personel, DONT EVER CONFUSE KINDNESS W STUPIDITY. Stop being lazy, & do your job!!

Renter beware!! Awful customer service and support!! Use another rental agency! We have been in this community for 42 years and in the process of building a new house and needed a place to live. Plans were not quite complete, agreed to rent a house month to month for 3 months, with the ability to cancel, then contract would become an annual lease. Had engineering problems with plans and had to cancel. Never moved in, checked on rental 2 times a week, paid utilities, took care of yard, nothing outstanding. Landlord kept 1/2 security deposit...no help at all from Jeannette Properties.

Called looking for an 8 months apartment rental. spoke to Perla. She was very difficult to deal with, didnt reply to phone calls or emails on time. Saw an apartment that I really liked and emailed her, she said it was available. I emailed her back right away asking her to book it. Replied 3 days later saying that it was booked by another agent. I asked her to find me another apartment that was similar and expressed my frustration with the situation. She didnt have any interest in keeping my business and asked me to find another agent.

I rented a Sarasota home from Jeannette, and I slipped on one of their 14 scatter rugs rushed to the hospital with broken nose and a concussion.My attorney advised me to call Jeannette and report the accident. I did this and it was demanded that I vacate. Although I begged them to allow me to stay as I mended; they told me that they would forcefully remove me.They kept my deposit of $1500 although the house was professional cleaned.Although the home was professionally cleaned on the morning of my leaving, Jeannette kept my deposit monies.Good luck to all those who rent with Jeannette.

Awful company. If I could give 0 stars I would. Totally unresponsive to emails or phone calls. They treat you like a dirt bag because you are a renter (even though I have >800 credit score, make 10 x rent and impeccable rental history). They waste your time and are border line rude. If you are a renter and wish to be treated with dignity and respect, stay away from these unprofessional hacks. If you are an owner who is already under contract with these people, I feel sorry for you.

Disappoingtly unresponsive. Reached out to them via email, never responded.Called twice. First time I was assure I would get a return call, never happened. On another occasion I called, no response. And i finally texted a specific agent and was told I would get a response from her on a specific day. Guess what? never happened. Sent another text. Never responded. Also learned that the many wonderful listings that are posted on their site, have been there for god knows how long; and are completely outdated and/or unavailable.

Had the oportunity to list my condo for a seasonal rental in Feb of 2016..Worked with Susan from Jennette Properties . Ultimately rented the property to a Baltimore Oriole player for 2 months ( spring training).At end of the lease term, I did the inspection with Susan, and discovered the Tennant had totally trashed the unit. While this was a terrible experience, the response from Susan was amazing! Within 24 hours she arranged for a lock smith to re-key the unit; had a 2 person clean-up crew within 4 hours, who worked until 8 in the evening; she personally moved the furniture ( with the help of a handy man she hired) back after the Tennant totally moved everything everywhere; had a carpet cleaner the following morning, who cleaned all the carpeting and upholstery, which the tenant had badly stained; and arranged for a blind company come and replace a window blind destroyed by this immature pro baseball player. (The Orioles team should be ashamed of the actions of their player, and take steps to revisit the value of having a person like this on their team.)Bottom line, a terrible experience, but not due to the fault of Jeanette Properties, and in fact the response of their employee, demonstrates the value they add, to the rental process.Thank you Susan, for making a bad experience tolerable. And for showing a true professional attitude, to a client.
