Dawn and Erick are great. Always personable, efficient, and professional. I have been going to them for several years, and have NEVER had a bad cut. The only complaint you could possibly have is that so many people want a cut that sometimes you have to wait. With COVID, the shop is more spic & span clean than ever, and they were requiring appointments (which means no waiting). Whoever gave a poor review to these former military, family run businesspeople, is lying.

Tourist (go figure), decided to finally try the shave and a haircut, been wanting to do it my whole life. Let me say, I was not disappointed! Even in the middle of the super Rona freak out, shop was immaculate, the haircut and shave were awesome, but the difference was how awesome the owners are! Should the world fail to fall apart, this will be a permanent part of my Siesta vacations! Wish google had more than 5 stars.

Also Frame it Up Gallery got a restraining order against Phil. He’s a major lowlife. Arrested over 7 times since he’s come down to Sarasota.

The most amazing establishment in Sarasota. Erick and Dawn are two of the most amazing and caring individuals I have ever had the privilege of knowing. My son was disabled, wheelchair bound and unable to communicate. When the Shop moved to Gulfgate, Erick and Dawn went above and beyond to make a wheelchair ramp and door so the Shop would be accessible for my son. They always treated him with so much respect and made him feel wanted and cared for. Every month this was the most exciting excursion for my son. They always made him laugh and feel welcomed. My son has passed but the love I feel for these two will never end. I would recommend the Shop to anyone and everyone. You will not be disappointed!

I had to come here for my hair repair after another barber in Gulf Gate almost ruined it as they cut it so badly the previous time. 100% recommended.

This is the only place I go anymore. I discovered Dawn and Erik through my recruiter while they were on Bahia Vista. When I would take leave to come home, this is where Id get my haircut before going back to base. I still continue to see them because theyre great, honest people that give excellent haircuts. Almost always have an interesting/funny convo topic, too!

My two sons and I came in for haircuts this morning. We had great service, and our haircuts turned out great! While there, the barber refused payment from an active duty Military officer. I will definitely be back to support this locally owner barber shop that supports our Military!

After getting a atrocious haircut from Supercuts I went to The Shop, Everyone in there doesn’t feel like workers or coworkers they all seem like friends and they make you feel right at home immediately. They fixed my hair perfectly and you can tell they obviously love what they do. Not to mention it’s just a nice looking barber shop, would definitely recommend.

Went in for a haircut after lunch this afternoon. Got a great haircut and enjoyed talking with Dawn. I would much rather support a local business than continue going to a chain like sportclips. I will certainly be back for my next haircut i highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the home town small barbershop with more personality than a chain. My husband and I live in Parrish so its quite a haul for us but we would not change barbers for the world, they are so fun and the new shop is so welcoming for the whole family. They have become great friends and we would follow them to the moon if we had to. My husband thinks he knows how he likes his haircut but Dawn knows exactly how to cut it for me.
