When you drive down the road and you see the Atlas vehicles all over town. Lots and lots of them. I called the company based on the assumption that they might be the best in the business. Just remember you guys, sometimes, quantity isnt better than quality.Let me be clear that they do not remove the root system. Yes, they will chop your tree down and do a mediocre stump grinding. They actually left a significant amount of my stump later to find out. After what I thought was crystal clear communication that I wanted the uprooting tree level and flush with the side walk. That was explained before I agreed to the estimate. After plenty of reassurance from the company, I agreed to move forward.Fast forward and to make it short and sweet, I live within the city limits of Santa Rosa. The tree was removed because it was uprooting, it destroyed my drip system and began to destroy sidewalk. The call to Atlas was made, they came out (weeks later) to look at this hearty tree that was later identified as a Bradford Pear. It took 6 weeks to get on the schedule. That was fine, I was patient. Fast forward to tree removal day, I left a note for Atlas and tied to the tree to clearly communicate again, that I wanted this uprooting tree flush with the sidewalk. That didnt happen after I was reassured it was prior to accepting the estimate.I called, sent photos and they were so kind to send someone out again to look. They never got back to me. A week later I was still trying to follow up. I was able to finally make contact only to be told, ohhh.... we dont do root systems, you need an excavatorLet me remind you this was a very very small tree, maybe 25 or 30 ft tall at max. It was like a park shrub. Excavator.....LOL.So they pretty much told me I was S.O.L.Fast forward, I went to Friedmans for an axe and went to town on the root system. 3 hours in, I made great progress until I hit stump. The significant amount of stump that was left behind. I was cool up until this point. Now very frustrated, I went inside and called another local guy. 1 guy, he answered his phone immediately, came out for an evaluation the next day, and finished the job in less than an hour a couple of days after that. He said he has to clean up after Atlas all the time and this isnt anything new for him.Long story short, just remember you guys, quantity isnt best over quality.
We have huge Cypress trees that needed a solid trim and this crew delivered. Jennifer the estimator was fantastic and very thorough and thoughtful in her assessment of what we needed to have cut. They didnt take so much as the tree would suffer, yet they trimmed it fully and we are really happy with the results. We dealt with two different crews and they both were professional and careful with the surrounding lights, fences, ect. Thanks so much to Atlas Tree!
Ive worked for this company and there staff is great i hope they make the jump to Oregon and bring there positive employees with them they treat people with respect and kindness and there employees are treated with respect .
Employees on theyre hi horse! Working for another contractor in close proximity to atlas I have seen alot of unprofessional behavior from theyre company. I wouldnt recommend them. Its all bells and whistles.
This is a great company very clean, very well organized, and the people are extremely nice! I would recommend this company to anyone who is either looking for work to be done or looking for a job!
Most amazing company, hands down the best!!!!
Best place ever.......EVER!
This was a great experience with Atlas. I had five giant older eucalyptus trees that needed to be removed for fire safety. It was a big job, and Atlas was perfect in every way. They communicated well, showed up on time, completed their work professionally, and cleaned up after the job.It was a five-star experience in every way. Highly recommend!
We contacted several companies to get quotes to remove our HUGE palm tree. Atlas had the best communication by far. Also one of the best prices. Being able to do everything through email was a plus. They were quick, friendly and did an amazing job!
Now everyone knows that they hire workers that have prior DWI on their record. Not one but two priors. They let them drive and operate their equipment. Would you want them working on your place knowing they let their workers do this? On of their drivers operators was DUI, ran a red light, hit a car and killed a doctor. This happened on 4/2/2020.
Need better signage, way in advance, for 30 minute delays for tree care on old Redwood between Cardinal Newman and Kaiser Stein Campus. The trees look great, by the way :)
By far the BEST tree service Ive used! Prices are excellent, crews show up on time, do amazing work and leave the premises cleaner than when they arrived. Im already on the books for next Spring. This company ROCKS!
Ive been watching these guys trim trees in my neighborhood for years. They skin all the branches off the main trunk or large branches and leave all the growth in the tops of the branches without thinning the remaining growth. This acts like a sail when the wind blows, snapping off the branches. Not very smart. I guess its job security. Theyre not the only tree company around that does this. Bad for the trees.
Great tree service
The best tree company in CaliforniaThe employees are very professional and they do the best for you and your trees
Very poor workmanship. Atlas trimmed my neighbor’s trees and left a huge mess in my yard. I even asked the workers twice to clean up and called the company more than once I would never hire this company.
These guys are ABSOLUTLY on point. Thier mission? To elevate the standard of tree care for thier clients and employees. From my experience they are killing it! Thank you for doing what you do!
I normally dont like bad mouthing companies but at the same time I want to protect my fellow citizens. I am testing for to be a certified Arborist next month. Atlas Tree service recently did the tree work at my brothers house as well as the neighborhood, When I first pulled into the neighborhood I noticed a tree that looked like it had been hacked on by the home owner. Being in the tree business I cant stand seeing this type of work especially when I am the one who has to go and fix these kind of mistakes. They turned a big beautiful tree into a massive nightmare. They left the tree with large stubs and the weight far from distributed evenly(long branches on one side short on the other). The stubs were left with no leads so the branch has no ware to continue growing, except to sucker out if it even survives. In my brothers back yard they left a massive stump and a log right in the middle of the yard way to heavy for any human to carry or move. They under pay there employees so I can understand why they dont care about the work they preform, and should not call them selves arborists. Unless you plan on hiring two tree companies atlas first to start the job and another to come finish and correct there work I would not recommend giving your hard earned money to atlas to butcher your trees and leave a mess in your yard.
Bill went there, what a waste of time. worst school to go too.
Quick response and they do a great job!!
Weve been using Atlas for over 15 Years for all phases of tree care for the many trees on our property. They are Safe, Fast, Efficient, and Very Reasonably Priced. We highly recommend them. They are BBB A+ rated (but not BBB Accredited).Their staff is very well trained and headed by certified arborists. Their Residential Estimator is Steve Herrfeldt, who is also a certified arborist.Unlike many other tree services they own the equipment they need to do the work without needing to subcontract (in all but the most unusual cases). The have the bucket lift trucks, very large chippers, very large stump grinders, chainsaws, trimmers, and other gear that are needed to do the work. As a result, their quote is complete and there are no extra charges for items like stump grinding.Their equipment can also handle very large trees. Their chippers can handle branches and trunks that are much bigger than we thought possible. They were able to chip ALL of our large Deodor Cedar that we removed. Made for nice fragrant chips for our garden. They are also safe. They will use their bucket lift trucks if appropriate and they can get access, otherwise they will safely climb the trees to do the work. They are excellent riggers and will use this skill to lower large trimmed branches instead of risking damage to your home.Weve had them remove two trees that were threatening our house and they did a great job. Theyve also done trimming and shaping of our other trees - keeping them healthy, safe, and attractive. One January when we were overseas for the month a large tree fell in our back yard (fortunately it hit neither our or our neighbors homes, but it did take out the utility service to our home and the fence). We were able to arrange remotely for Atlas to come cut up, take away the tree, and grind the stump. They did a fantastic job with that one too! What can I say - these folks know their stuff!
Great staff and great prices also very professional
Tasi here from Cloverdale. If these guys arent the real deal, no one is. Came before time and worked around power lines like ninjas. To the public, if you have power lines running by your trees, dont get people who want you to call PGE. These guys are like ninjas maneuvering skillfully around these line. I have proof on video man. Atlas, atlast our our Goliath tree has fallen
Nice people very professional
Great work and service highly recommend them!
Dont drive 55 in the left lane of the freeway
