Ive flown with Helico for over three years - I highly recommend training here. The company is operated very professionally and the aircraft are maintained exceptionally well. All the instructors are a lot of fun to fly with and very knowledgeable. The location is great for training and the weather provides for a large variety of conditions.

Booked a tour with them and it was an awesome experience! The staff runs lean so usually best to hop on the phone or have flexibility with email responses but the staff always got back to me with full details and a call back. The experience itself was wonderful. We flew with Alec - he was kind, communicative, and showed us a great time. The ride itself was awesome as well - super memorable experience. Highly recommend!

An awful company!Please do not support Helico.After being asked (politely) by a number of small noise-sensitive communities in and around Cloverdale to not use the area for the loud and repetitive practice flights, these guys told us they can fly wherever they want. Truly arrogant self-entitled jerks with no concern for the peace and quiet in small rural communities.

I havent flown a helicopter in about 10 years and finally got the itch to see if I still could. Booked some time with Alec in the R44 and couldnt be happier. Super cool guy, very knowledgeable and safe; aircraft in good condition. Only downside was the smoke but obviously not Helicos problem. Definitely plan on logging some more time soon. Sonoma Helico is an unprofessional group of arrogant pilots who have no respect for anyone who isnt a wealthy paying customer. Theyve been asked repeatedly not to fly repeated low and loud flights over quiet residential areas but they just dont care. Cloverdale Airport, where the city has just posted new published procedures to cut down on transient aircraft noise in this quiet part of Alexander Valley, is a frequent target of Sonoma Helico. They have ignored official city requests to take their loud helicopter elsewhere to train their wealthy customers (take a look at some of their reviews here; theyre mostly from rich patrons who have no care in the world for citizens who put up with their disruptive hobby). There are more appropriate locations for helicopter schools to practice their loud maneuvers, why in the world doesnt Helico show a little respect for the citizens who live here. And dont tell us youre training future rescue pilots, we see who your customers are.

What an awesome experience! On a whim we decided to take a trip - it was my first helicopter tour and I didnt know what to expect. I was blown away. Steve was our pilot and he was very professional, cared about safety a great deal, but was also very warm and personable. It was amazing to see Sonoma County from the air like that; I just wish it lasted a bit longer! If youre wanting to impress the in-laws, entertain out of town guests, or just want to spice up your weekend, HeliCos tours are well worth it! Trust me, you wont regret the experience!!

Amazing!!! The pilot John explained to us we had high winds but it was still ok to fly. He made us feel really comfortable. We felt safe and it wasnt that bad. Hes a terrific pilot. We will be back when the weather is better! Thank you helico for sticking with me and making my husbands birthday a memorable one.

I strongly recommend Helico for all helicopter needs. I have always had an interest in becoming a pilot, and Helico has done an amazing job in helping me achieve that goal. I started my journey in November and both Alec and Zac have been extremely professional and informative. Since day one they have made it obvious that they care about their students and local neighbors. Every flight they make sure that safety comes first directly followed by minimizing the noise profile around homes.

As a student pilot at Helico for over a year I say that they are the most professional and community oriented school I have attended to date. From day one of training I was instructed to be aware of residential areas and to avoid overflying and maintaining proper altitudes at all times..Most of us live in the area and are concious of our neighbors and understand the issues of living next to an airport.

I was attending a small birthday party (outdoors, with masks, and socially distant), and a helicopter continued to fly over us. They were very low, and they kept passing by us. We took a photo of the helicopter, and it was registered to Helico Sonoma. The birthday boy said that this has been going on for weeks.We tried reaching out via Facebook, but theyre deleting comments and blocking people who ask them to change their routes so theyre not constantly bothering small communities. They have even laughed at complaints!These people do not care about the locals. They are terrorizing small communities. Do not support their business!

Helico is an amazing resource for our community. They’ve got a number of great aircraft, from small two seat trainers to larger jet helicopters. The instructors have been great, and online scheduling is a huge convenience.

Fantastic and professional helicopter training and tours. The experienced pilots clearly operate with safety as their #1 priority. I’ve utilized them and their fleet several times over the years and I simply can’t say enough good things about their services.All of the negative reviews I’m seeing are from folks who simply dislike aircraft noise. I’ve personally witnessed the pilots avoid certain areas, to not stir up noise complaints, even though they have no legal obligation to do so.

Fantastic company with an incredibly high level of service for their clients. I have chartered multiple tours and transports for myself and my family with HeliCo and each of my experiences with the company have been spectacular. Alec and Conner are awesome, their helicopters are very comfortable and accommodative, and I would STRONGLY recommend using their services.

We have asked the owners of Helico Sonoma to avoid using the area above and near the Cloverdale Aiport numerous times for the low and loud training flights. Helico flies from Santa Rosa to the small community of Cloverdale because they know we dont have the political power to stop these awful training flights.The noise their helicopter generates is loud enough to rattle windows inside our homes. Our community also has been trying hard to reduce continuing exposure to ambient lead pollution from aircraft fuel (AvGas - one of the last remaining sources of lead poisoning which poses a very real risk for children who live within a mile of airports). Operations like Helicos training flights keep aircraft repeatedly circling over certain areas which concentrate ambient exposure to lead over time. Its a very real issue.The response from Helico Sonoma? We dont care, we have a right to fly where we want. That sums up the attitude of the leadership at this business.Its great that wealthy tech executives have the money and time to learn how to fly a helicopter, but please do it in an area that doesnt subject families to daily helicopter noise and lead pollution. That seems like a reasonable request, doesnt it?

This was the most amazing thing I have ever done my family and I chose the coastal flight from Jenner to bodega bay because we wanted to see the cost from a different view and WOW was it beautiful ... I highly suggest taking this flight... my 13 year old son loved it ... Dan Austin and Alec were very friendly and answered all the questions that we had but our pilot was Steve who was very fun and outgoing... I am afraid to fly but he made it very relaxing and enjoyable ... he was very knowledgeable and he was a great pilot ... this is something I will definitely be doing again here in the very near future... This company is amazing

My wife and I were looking for an exciting, romantic adventure to celebrate our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary. After careful research, we decided on a 30 minute coastal helicopter ride with HeliCo. They were by far the most professional tour company listed...I called them all. Our pilot, Steve, was this buffed, good looking bald headed guy my wife kept calling Mr. Clean ..lol. Anyway, Steve had a great sense of humor but was all business when it came to piloting the helicopter. He made us feel safe and gave us a great flight. Thank you Steve and HeliCo for the memory of life time :)

Helico really impressed me with their service. I needed a helicopter charter for myself and a small group of colleagues from San Francisco to Tahoe, and they really delivered. We got picked up in SF, flew out on a Friday, and got to Truckee in very little time. It was my first time in a helicopter actually and the views were awesome. My pilots Dan and Brian were curious and professional. I felt safe the whole time. Would recommend, thanks guys.

There was no better way to absorb all the beautiful scenery Northern California has to offer. My friend and I had the best tour flight with Austin Bradley. He was so nice and professional and made sure to show us many points of interest. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. My friend and I felt very comfortable during the flight and would definitely fly with him again.

I have taken both a tour and intro flight with HeliCo Instructor Austin Bradley. Austin is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent instructor. I would highly recommend both this business and Austin.

Please do not support these guys! They are callous pilots who have been terrorizing the small quiet town of Cloverdale with their incessant low and loud flying. Many noise complaints have been filed against these guys, but they just dont care. Their response is always that what they do is legal, which is hard to believe, but they have total disregard for people trying to live peacefully and quietly in their home. Until they stop repetitive, low flying over residential communities, please BOYCOTT Helico.

I am an Air Force and airline pilot, but I had never been in a helicopter and was always interested to learn how they work. My pilot was Steve Mooney, and he was as competent and professional as anyone I have ever flown with before. Besides giving a great tour of the area, he also did a fantastic job explaining the intracasies of rotary wing flight. This was money well-spent! Thanks to Helico Sonoma!

I have collaborated many times with Helico Sonoma. I am a freelance photographer and videographer, and Helico Sonoma has provided me with any and every opportunity to create amazing aerial imagery. They are extremely professional, very personable, passionate about what they do, and above all...they are SAFE. When it comes to flying around in a helicopter with the doors off and being harnessed in with all of my camera gear as sit facing a large drop to land, safety is definitely a concern and they make sure to take all safety precautions when flying.

I sought out to continue my helicopter flight ratings since I acquired my Private in 1999. I hadnt flown in several years when after my retirement decided to pick up where Id left off. I came across HeliCo Sonoma through word of a fellow officer knowing that Paul Bradley, a fine experience local Law Enforcement pilot was also availing himself to this company in for form of higher end flight instruction. I needed my Commercial Certification, which under the tutelage of CFI Alec Sprick was I able to accomplish in considerably short order. Alec is one of the finest young pilot instructors Ive ever had the honor to meet, much less study under. There is no cookie-cutter training here. Each student has his instruction custom tailored. If you need specific instruction in certain area, he will know it and you will receive it. The student dictates the speed of the course. If you apply yourself, you will succeed in short order, which translated to overall cost savings. After receiving my Commercial Certification I was honored to be included as one of the pilots flying tours with HeliCo. I cant be more proud to work with such a warm and professional group of pilots. This includes the latest, CFII-Austin Bradley - sure to follow in his fathers foot steps as a fine pilot in his own right. Kudos to Dan, the genius/charmer behind this whole operation. Im currently working toward my CFI, and know Im in GREAT hands.
