Sent some packages abroad, Chris was extremely helpful and when I lost the tracking numbers and called, he was able to get them to me right away. Clearly very organized and thoughtful about his work. Highly recommended.
This morning I saw one of the most disgusting displays of disrespect and aggression: The owner of the PostalAnnex+ in Santa Rosa became enraged at a brown Coca-Cola delivery driver who had parked his big rig outside our community grocery store, slightly blocking one parking space in front of his mail shop. The white owner, Chris, screaming profanities and racist stereotypes drove his car up onto the loading lift of the truck, prohibiting the man from continuing his work. Leaving his car there, he got out and continued to threaten the delivery man with police action and physical assault, literally yelling at the top of his lungs until there was a crowd of people outside. I walked over to try and calm the situation. Chris continued with threats and profanities before backing the car off the lift and allowing the delivery man to leave. I calmly told him he was out of line, overly aggressive, and being a disruptive neighbor. He then told me it was his first amendment right to scream at anyone anyway he chooses, told me to get lost, then went inside and brought out his American flag. The grocery store clerk told me he regularly behaves this way to many people. I will never patronize this business again. This behavior is not acceptable and I hope people take their business elsewhere.
Great neighborhood place for sending packages, getting mail, good card selection and making copies.
This review is meant to supplement the reviews posted in the last few days below. I wrote the original Facebook post referenced in these comments. Please see my FB update below. Chris has acknowledged to me his behavior was unacceptable and will not be tolerated by his neighbors, customers, or community. As part of the work we are doing with him to restore his relationship with the community, I told him I would reach out to people who posted one-star reviews. (Google is not letting me message them privately). No one expected Chris to seek redemption - we all thought he would attack me with more aggression as was his pattern in the past. But he didnt. He came to me personally to work through this and I truly hope this turns out to be a positive life lesson.UPDATE 5/21: This morning Michael and I met with PostalAnnex+ store owner Chris to discuss the proliferation of my original post and the impact it has had on his life and business. The exchange was positive and sincere and I am using this venue to inform everyone following the post that we came to an amicable resolution. In my profession I am tasked to measure the sincerity of peoples communication on a daily basis: I believe Chris has been incredibly humbled by the outpouring of public condemnation for his disrespectful behavior. To us, Chris was candid with his understanding and appeared genuinely apologetic to the driver and to me (which was not my goal, but appreciated). More importantly, he was able to identify what he did wrong. He told us he is committed to working on restoring a positive relationship with our community and his neighbors.Moving forward I encourage our community to reach out with positivity; to embrace and nurture Chris on his path of tolerance and kindness. I believed it before but it was proven to me again today that restorative justice does work. We live in such a broken world - we must all come together to support and encourage love and understanding even in the darkest of places. Remember, those who are most hurt need the most love. #RestorativeJustice
Easy, pleasant place to do business with even two days before Christmas!
Chris, the owner, is always very polite, friendly and helpful. Fast service, too.
Weve been a multi-box owner since this location opened. Chris is always very helpful.
Wow. We went to close the account (mailbox had run out) and the store was closed. I just got a call from the owner and he got nasty with me, as if we were trying to pull one over on him. Avoid this place, highly unprofessional.
