Rented a large van through the U-Haul app. I booked through the app as it claimed there was 24/7 accessibility at The Rental Place. Not the case! The Rental Place closes their gates after 5 PM. I had originally scheduled my pick up at 5 PM and drop off at 10 PM. Glad I got there early to speak with someone! Had to rush to get the truck out and park my car down a random street so they wouldnt lock it in overnight.When I mentioned it to the woman at the front that they should update their hours with U-Haul so people arent misled through the U-Haul app, she said there was nothing she could do - with a bit of an attitude. I wasnt sure shed keep the gates unlocked for me while I parked my car somewhere. Fortunately she did (giving an extra star for not being rude in that regard). Had to figure out a place to park it over night then returned asap the next morning to bring it back in.The poor rating is primarily for the womans attitude and unwillingness to even pretend to care or try to get this resolved. They should get a lockbox for the key for those who book after hours pick up and drop off. The app even had me go in to get the key from the front desk (something I didnt know until I was there in process of picking up) - totally defeats the purpose and again, I would have been more screwed if I didnt get there a little early. The app didnt give me any warning about this and the Rental Place could do more to get this solved.Rushed to get it back at 7 AM the next day so I could get to work on time a half hour away. They need to care about the details!

The guy at the counter was nice but when I dropped off my rental truck I was charged for a bunch of fees I didn’t authorize. He handed me a piece of paper and asked me to make sure there was no damage on the truck. Then charged me $15 for SafeMove insurance. No where on the paper does it say you will be charged and no where on the paperwork they give you when you leave with your truck. You only see these charges on your ending receipt, and find out you inadvertently “signed” for something that was never actually on the paperwork you signed. I don’t appreciate being nickel and dimed with hidden fees. Bad form.

Rented Weed Eater. Worked for 15 minutes, then started stalling. Took back in, tried a couple others at store that had issues. Found one that worked. Went back home, brought weed eater back next day,,,,,, do to issue with weed eater, did not want to work in heat of day. Was charged for two days? I told manager that the last one had issues, he said I was wrong left choke on?? Very strange as that model has an auto choke that turns off when press on throttle. I paid the extra $57, will not go back.

I had the worst experience with Uhaul but Fidel was amazing. He did everything he could to turn my experience around. Called into corporate and waited on hold on my behalf.Best customer service!!
