I met with Jim Geist for an opportunity in the San Francisco location, but wanted me to drive out to Santa Rosa since it was easier for him. Considering this was for an opportunity, I obliged and decided to drive the 30 something miles to Santa Rosa from where Im located to meet in the early afternoon. He held an extensive interview and even stressed the importance of follow-up during our conversation. After our interview and a few follow up emails, I literally never heard from him again. Big waste of time.

EMPLOYERS Beware: Given the low unemployment in the area, this company now has sunk down to reaching into their roladex of past contacts (whether Nelson actually worked with them or not) and actively calling them to try and place them in a better job. While I understand this is great from an employee position, as an employer its tantamount to poaching. In our particular case, our employee was told they were underpaid for the position even though our employee had no previous experience in it and was taught everything from scratch. But Nelson heard some key words in what our employee was doing and automatically assumed they have a background in it and then told the employee they are underpaid. Its easy for a company like Nelson to say that if they have a larger company willing to pay Nelson to find a candidate and overpay themselves given the lack of candidates in the market right now. The kicker is then they have the nerve to contact you, the now former employer, AFTER your employee has been hired away by Nelson to Fact check. Shouldnt they be doing that BEFORE hiring? Not if you are getting paid like Nelson is. Unbelievable. This may be the norm on wall street, but for small businesses on main street, trying to keep up with astronomical increase in payroll costs, its a killer. I applaud my former employee and wish them the best, but I would never use Nelson to hire nor hire a candidate who has had any contact with them knowing this is their practice.

Nelson Santa Rosa doesnt have the same friendliness than their neighbors on Petaluma I had the opportunity to work with them and they are not understanding people.I love working for Nelson Petaluma but sadly I live in Santa Rosa and its hard to not want to ask for a job on Santa Rosa but after two times I got sick and didnt appear to work they dont hire me anymore. Its sad to not be able to work with them anymore just because you got sick on a weekend and got no one to call.

I love Nelson Staffing i have been utilizing their services since 1993. Without fail if i come in needing a job im working by the end of the week. Ive always been helped by Debbie Beardsley she always makes me feel like im important to Nelson Staffing and that she genuinely cares for me as a person. That me working is as important to her as it is to me. I 100% recommend using theire services if your in need of temporary or temp to hire employment.
