FINAL UPDATE, KUDOS TO THE NEW MECHANIC I FOUND, NOT A+, WHO WAS ABLE TO 1. REPRODUCE THE ISSUES THE CAR WAS HAVING, 2. CORRECTLY ASCERTAIN THAT THE CAR WAS MISFIRING EVEN THOUGH NO CODE WAS BEING GENERATED, AND 3. DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE WITH THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. They did not shy from keeping the car until the problem was solved. I was impressed by the level of their customer service, communication, and ability. IN OTHER WORDS THE DIRECT OPPOSITE OF A+.MY EXPERIENCE WITH A+:Instead of telling me they couldnt figure out what was wrong with my car the mechanic suggested I have my camshaft repaired and charged me $100 for our discussion. Wont be returning. Chasing down a problem can be difficult. Thats why we took it in. Didnt expect a sad attempt and nothing seems to be wrong now!Edit, A+ has reached out to me because they are seriously concerned about my review. Let me be specific: its like another reviewer wrote, they just dont listen! And Im doubtful about any work that isnt straight forward. A rough idle and start, plus two misfires in different cylinders do not indicate that my camshaft needs to be opened up on my low mileage car. Fuel filter, vacuum system, alternator: maybe test these things first. Instead your diagnostic was an easy fix that I told you I had done (on the phone and in person): switching the ignition coils. And then, I kid you not, I was told that everything I had said had been erased in the computer system and I had to wait 30 minutes to retrieve my car, only to be charged for this discussion and swapping my coils (a 15 minute job Id already done). At this point I am actually taking my car to the dealership because I think it will be cheaper in the long run. At least the dealership knows what theyre doing.
Dave and his team of mechanics are mechanic detectives! I am amazed every time I have some weird thing happening, they dig until they find the problem and then fix it. The nicest people, everyone who works there is very knowledgeable about all things automotive. I feel so lucky to have found a reliable, respectable, kind and honest mechanic.
Definitely a step up from many other mechanics. They detected and fix a complicated electric issue on my car along with other maintainance works such as breaks, fluids etc..Job was done well and on time. Also very friendly.
Friendly, helpful, gets the job done right the first time. What more can you ask from a mechanic? Dave and his crew will go the extra mile, though, so you get more than the average: way more!
Really great service! We were passing through town and found ourselves on the side of the road fixing a flat tire. We tried a bunch of other places, but all were closed even though they posed as open. A+ Automotive stayed open after hours fixing our car. They got us a new tire, checked the spare, and changed our oil. Speedy service and dog friendly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing car repairs. They also made sure to let us know of any other problems they saw on the car while fixing it. Thanks for your help, A+ Automotive, you definitely live up to your name!

Our 2nd time using them for emergency services while traveling, they have gone above and beyond expectations!! Our local friend recommended them and now we won’t go anywhere else even tho we live 4 hours away lol but they are honest and awesome! Providing excellent and friendly service they squeezed us in when our festival van broke down and charged us less than the estimate because they did it faster than the quoted time! Liz is so friendly, thanks for getting us back on the road guys!!!
I had an emergency, my car wouldnt turn off I happened to be looking for a battery for the car and the representative of another shop recommended A+ automotive very highly, I managed to get over to A+ and the mechanic quoted me a price and fixed the problem, my ignition switch had broke, he had to take apart the steering wheel twice but in the end only charged me what he quoted me. He always told me when something new was found and let me decide if I could afford to fix it. Ultimately I would highly recommend this shop, very professional conduct. Very reliable and honest.
I used to get exactly what I needed here but thats been a problem since the reception staff changed a few months ago. I dont want to throw anyone under the bus and it may more than one person dropping the ball, but on 3 occasions now Ive asked for something to be done that wasnt. The first time i asked the girl at the desk to call me back with a quote for services I wanted. I understand if things cant get done in 1 day, but i never got a call back, ever. Next time I called setting up an appointment for service again. I called 2 weeks in advance because i knew they needed time to paint the side view mirror I needed (which wasnt ordered in time to be installed during my last visit). I also asked if a certain bracket could be ordered. She said shed look into it and call me back. Never did. Im writing this on the day of my service because when i got there and asked about the mirror and bracket, the response was that theyve been so busy she basically forgot. So, while I can live without the bracket a few more moths, the mirror may or may not have gotten painted in time to get installed today. Whats the point of calling in advance then? When I came back to pick up the car, Dave, who I assume is the owner, explained that the mirror they ordered cannot be painted. He claimed they ordered this type because I said I didnt want to pay for painting it. I told him I said no such thing. I distinctly remember Dave quoting me a price for the mirror, labor, and paint job. He admits to, of course, having no notes on my account on the matter, yet insists I dont know what I asked for. He could have chosen to say it was a miscommunication, but instead, I was blamed for their incompetence. He never apologized for me not getting the service I scheduled to recieve 2 weeks ago (during which time I mentioned again that the mirror needed painting). Unbelievable! Im so offended. Im never going back.
Great family owned and operated shop would take any car there any time
We arrived just before closing time after blowing out our tire but A+ was super helpful, stayed way past closing time to make sure we got a new tire to continue our trip and even changed our oil!
