I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in this company. Dont get me wrong the movers were great they did what they could. I am very very disappointed in Diana who booked our move and how much stuff the movers could not take. I told her I have three bedrooms Plus garage they could only fit half of my house into their 26-foot truck! My husband and I are both senior citizens we had to finish the move shuttling back and forth 70 mi in a U-Haul trailer because we were told they were solidly but for the next week. We had just sold our house and needed to be out so the new owners could come in. She should have said we need two trucks or we need two days and she did not I feel as though she was trying to fill a slot and make money as much as they could. The movers were polite and I feel as though they were extremely honest so I am satisfied with them but Diana needs to learn to do her job better.

Great service we’ve received!We booked them to move our 1 bedroom apartment last week. It was very easy to make an appointment and they were very clear with the pricing. Moving day 2 movers showed up on time, started moving out very quick but careful. From beginning to end they both worn mask and gloves.We were not quite ready but they wrapped boxed tapped everything up! Nothing was damaged.Very professional and great customer service.Thank you for making our move easy!

Today they helped my family to exercise the moving from Santa Monica to Sherman Oaks. Our family consists of 5 people, three of whom are children so you can imagine how much stuff we have! We accumulated for about 50 boxes of Major Moving Company various sizes, plus oversized things: electric motorcycles, drawing boards, sleds, bicycles, etc. (altogether 28 items), and even furniture from several rooms: a double-bunk bed, wardrobes, dressers, IKEA shelves and so on.The Local Movers Santa Monica filed the truck on time, and during all 5 hours of work guys qualitatively carried out their work without any complaints or unnecessary movements. Everything was packaged and transported in high quality, and within the operation timeline, I indicated. While guys from Major Local Moving Company were still unloading our boxes, we decided to unpack some of those that have already been brought home and in which, as we knew, were fragile items to ensure their integrity and... there was no damage at all, which is very important. I was in the process of moving and the Major Moving company made my life ten times easier. They were very helpful at times I needed it most. They were also very cooperative and understanding with being gentle with our stuff because my mom has major OCD with her stuff. She would not of liked hidden surprises such as damages and scratches. We would highly recommend Major Moving Company. We used them to move from Marina del Rey, CA to Austin, TX. Diana was very professional and communicative throughout the whole process. Stas and his moving team were just amazing. They took all of the stress out of the move. Seriously, we ran errands throughout the day and they just kept packing the truck. They never complained, they never stopped working, and they had a great attitude all day long. When they unloaded us in Austin, they put all of our furniture back together and we didn’t have a scratch on anything.These guys aren’t the cheapest, but they are worth it. Other companies charged less but wanted to load and unload our stuff onto different trucks that would be shared with other people and then they wanted us to wait 14 to 21 days for delivery. These guys picked up our stuff on Friday and dropped it off on Monday. It was an all-inclusive cost and there were no hidden fees. Pay extra for the packing supplies, you’ll need them. If you are looking for a direct moving company, look no further—you’ll thank me later.

Really enjoyed working with this moving company because they made it very simple and easy since moving can get very frustrating. I also appreciate the fact that they were very careful with my belongings as most other guys don’t pay attention. When I moved 10 years ago, I noticed many dings and scratches on my couch, bed and fridge (just a few). Mike, the leader, was very professional as he led the movers efficiently. We all know moving is stressful, compounded by a new job stress, and moving to a new city. Needless to my boyfriend was stressed out to the max. He had nothing but horrible experiences in the past with movers. Things where broken, damaged, or never arrived. Me on the other hand have had nothing but amazing experiences with movers and this move was no different. They where on time, cordial, and respectful of our things. If we told them about a box that was fragile or something that needed extra care, they listened, and took extra care of the item. In fact, they put things in the cab of the truck. We had no hang ups, missing items, nor was anything damaged. It did take longer them 6 hours instead of 4 hours, but that’s because we used 2 men instead of 3 men. There were no hidden fees. I welcomed a very clean-looking crew of men in uniforms when these Santa Monica movers arrived, which is not a usual thing really. Having a bunch of past experience while moving, over the many times I’ve moved around I can say with confidence that most ‘major moving companies’ there seem to be saving a lot these closely-situated neighborhoods. I don’t really get it - so what if the distance isn’t that long, I still have to move and I want some comfort and quality when I am paying for the respective service.That being said, greeting this team was a real treat to a sore eye. The moving process was also all neat and professional - good cars, uniforms, professional packaging equipment, careful handling of things, politeness during the whole ride. Most of the attributes of a good, competent moving company in Santa Monica. I don’t like wasting my time and these guys were professional and everything was on time, fast, no excessive fuss involved. I just finished my second move with this company and both were STELLAR-first I moved 2 different units from the same storage location to a new apartment, and this time I moved a few pieces of furniture and some boxes from my family house (around 50 miles away) to the apartment. Both times the movers were timely and kind and treated my stuff really respectfully. They even helped my mom move some stuff around her house to replace the furniture I was taking. Ill definitely be using them in the future!!! :)

I was moving from my 3 bedroom apartment in Santa Monica to a 3 bedroom house in Beverly Hills.Major Moving company was simply amazing! They arrive 15 minutes earlier and were ready to go. We had 4 movers and they were awesome! Very nice guys, easy going, and funny, but more importantly real professionals, hard working, efficient and fast. They really knew what to do. Wrapped all the furniture I had. Packed all the kitchen stuff and all the small items in my apartment. Major Movers were super careful, which I really appreciate since I had lots of fragile items: picture frames, glass China cabinets, 2 very expensive tvs that I was going to take myself, but movers assured me that they will be very good taken care of, as they were. The house I moved in have 2 flight of stairs - and many heavy items were going upstairs, but the guys didnt complain. After the movers got everything inside, they unwrapped and put everything in the right places. NO DAMAGE AT ALL! Not a scratch! Oh I forgot to say that I had a 600 lbs safe and a grand piano - both were delivered to my new house without any problems.Extremely happy with the Major Moving Company, just an incredible experience!! These guys are professionals and they wont let you down! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I have just about had it with probably every “major moving company” in Los Angeles while constantly moving from place to place during a couple of years - from Brentwood to Westwood to Pacific Palisades - I had a chance to live all around that area. Some of the experiences I had to endure during that time were truly outrageous - and having some pretty expensive stuff damaged is not the worst that most Santa Monica movers I came across would offer. Sad but true - I have even long developed my own statistics in this aspect which looks quite bitter, to be honest - strictly half of my moving company employment attempts ended with staying right there at the initial place for some more time. At some point, I simply started refusing the incompetent services halfway through the affair. When I found this moving company in Santa Monica, I was as skeptical as always, and it was a huge surprise for me to change my attitude. This was the longed-for all-smooth moving process. It is funny how such seemingly standard services can make some people (like me) hate the whole affair - what is there to do? One might ask - take the stuff, load it up, drive to the destination, voila. But no, these workers are real magicians at being bad at even this… It is a delight to have these Santa Monica movers at service - never have I been so competently treated as a customer. They were handling my things like babies. Definitely recommend these guys to everybody!

I was craving to get even closer to the ocean - move from Brentwood to Pacific Palisades so I went looking for a competent moving company in Santa Monica without really hoping for much, but I was fortunate enough to hit the sweet spot and now I’m a loyal customer.I was moving place, but moving stuff is something I have to deal with on a regular basis - I own a storage myself. So there are whole two substantial factors that usually make me refuse any moving services provided in Los Angeles whatsoever - personal bitter experience plus knowledge of the competent moving nuances.The harshest experience I had to deal with just recently, right before turning to this major moving company to move to Westwood. Some of the workers were swearing loudly right as they had left the car and gone towards my house. They simply put me in an outrageous mood from the start and the loud swearing continued all throughout the process. That crew made me do something I wouldn’t really normally do - just leave the house and wait until their done packaging and loading just to not start a conflict with those ruffians. Everything went okay eventually, but they left the worst impression possible.From the professional point of view, I also know that things must be packaged individually and some things require special attention as well as packaging. The equipment that these Santa Monica movers brought along indicated that these were the people that know how to do their business. Glad I’ve found them and recommend!

These guys moved me from Santa Monica to Glendale. They are amazing. Super helpful and friendly. I was a bit worried at first since I have a lot of fragile stuff and moving it in the same truck with heavy furniture seamed a bit scary to me but the movers assured me that everything is secured in the truck and there is no reason to worry.
