We were searching for a writing tutor for our daughter. We were happy to find out there was a Sylvan Learning Center located in Santa Monica. We set-up an assessment and that’s when we met the owner Ed, who was very welcoming and informative. We ended up signing up our younger daughter as well. Both our daughters enjoy coming here and working with Mel. They are extremely motivated by their token incentive program. We definitely recommend this place for anyone needing academic help.

We are so happy with our decision to commit 2 days a week( 2 hrs each day per child) of tutoring for our 10 yr old son and 5 year old daughter this school year. Were about 3 weeks in and feel Ed, the coordinator, is great! My son seems to really enjoy studying with his tutor Pierce and the other tutors. My daughter enjoys the incentive program and looks forward to attending each day. So far its a win and we would recommend to any family looking for an effective supplemental learning environment for their kid(s). Huge thank you to the Sylvan Team!

This is a wonderful place to give kids a boost. After seeing good results with one of my daughters, I began to bring her sister as well. Despite being in different grade levels, both are advancing in their test scores and school performance. Ever since they began, their motivation has visibly improved. Sylvan has done an excellent job motivating them with lots of incentives, and they are now much more self sufficient and have gained a significant number of learning skills. I look forward to seeing their consistent improvement and growth every semester. A big thank you to the Sylvan family for supporting my kids academic future.

My son has been there for a few weeks now and I cant believe the difference in his attitude toward learning. He actually likes going there and doesnt feel so overwhelmed about school work. Our overall experience at Sylvan was pleasurable. All tutors and employees are both respect and professional. If an inconvenience occurs with times of sessions, the members at Sylvan will help you come to a solution. Times and dates for sessions are lenient and compatible with your schedule. All the students have their own study plan to go at their own pace. Highly recommend looking into.

I was referred here by a family member, and now I see why! My experience from the start has been amazing. From telephone calls to general information, and pricing all the way too the actual tutors. This place is a gem. Everyone has been overly helpful, kind, polite, and professional. There are several other tutoring centers closer to home, but this one is worth the commute!

Santa Monica Sylvan left me speechless. I was very reluctant due to COVID, the measures they took to make sure everyone was safe and protected gave me complete peace of mind. Also to mention the staff were very pleasant, well organized, knowledgeable, and had top of the line learning tools/ equipment that engaged and encouraged my children. This was especially important as I was worried my kids would get behind academically as well as socially with online learning. Would definitely recommend! 5 stars for sure!

This place is great my daughter has been enjoying herself and learning a deal. The tutors are great and ED the head communicates well with me. I am glad that she is coming here.

This sylvan helped me out a lot when I recently took some college courses. The people there are very professional and they helped me pass my pre-calculus and chemistry classes. I was in need of a proctor for my admissions exam for nursing school, and I was stressed that no one would be available due to covid limitations. However, Ed the director, made it possible and was able to provide a secure and stress free testing facility/experience. Test day was practically stress free thanks to Sylvan!

Ed cares about the kids education. My kids grade improved. Very happy with service.

Our first grader is doing okay with remote Zoom learning, but frankly its hard without direct in person teacher interaction to get the full effect of school. At this important age we wanted to make sure our boy was able to master the foundational building blocks of math and writing so we decided to check out Sylvan, which is obviously a well known name in the education industry. Specifically we checked out Sylvan in Santa Monica because it was close and convenient.First off its a very clean facility (seems new), and the cool thing especially for my boy who is Lego crazy is they have quiet a large display of Lego kits and access to play with them. Secondly the staff is professional and accommodating.There are two main aspects I wanted to make positive comment about—the learning system and fact that my boy likes going there! Sylvan has a system of testing to find areas that need work, then addressing those specific areas with a learning program designed to get the kids up to speed and up to/above the expected level for their age/ grade. We are confident our boy will get there as he enjoys learning. Which brings up the second point that he enjoys learning because he also gets to have some fun with the Legos and other games.Especially because of the schools being closed we think its important for kids not to get behind, this extra boost is the perfect thing for our boy, and so far so good!

Sylvan Learning of Santa Monica has been instrumental with helping my 9th grade daughter move her geometry grade up to an A while boosting her confidence in the academic process. In just a few months she was able to excel in her homework and exams. The professionalism and communication from the Santa Monica team exceeded my expectations in terms of distance learning. We are so grateful to the Director and Sylvan of Santa Monica for helping our son. The facility is sparkling and in a great location. With the new covid restrictions they are fully able to assist with an online tutor but we were required to attend in person by the UK school that my son was testing with. I was nervous to go into a facility. However, both staff were masked and used sanitizer. My son and I were both masked and temperature checked upon entry and the facility was super clean.My son was taking a long entrance exam that was supposed to be taken at the school in London but due to the health crisis we were asked to find a place that was able to proctor the exam for us here in SM...the requirements were strict and we needed a liaison with the school...yay Sylvan and the director Emad! He worked with the school and set up everything for us. We are beyond grateful. This situation was stressful enough and thanks to Sylvan the exam coordination was seamless. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs extra help for their child.
