On November 30, 2019, I purchased my Certified used 2016 Quattroporte S from Maserati of Santa Monica (Maserati). As an avid and loyal German car fan, I wanted to try an Italian exotic car and sold my Audi S4 to purchase the Maserati QP. I really loved the car and enjoyed the service I had received from Maserati up until January 2021.I had dropped off the car on January 18th as you’ll see on the included invoice picture. On January 21st, I texted my service advisor, Pedro Leal, to find out when my car was to be ready for pickup and he called me back immediately after to notify me that in the morning it was discovered that my car was stolen overnight likely from inside the service area. My car was recovered by the LA County Sherriff’s department in Cerritos. I also found out that it was involved in high-speed chase with the CHP. I was able to go to the impound on February 1st to have it towed to Maserati of Santa Monica for an assessment of damages. I have attached pictures of my damaged recovered car. The assailant got a way and the only reason why the car was recovered because the suspension was severely damaged.When I spoke to the service manager, Jose “Joe” Gutierrez, on February 8th on the phone, I had to review the police report. Joe and I discussed the estimated damages and how I needed to reach out to my insurance State Farm to begin the process. Joe even mentioned that they had a clause in their Terms and Conditions that waived any coverage for theft, fire, or vandalism in their invoice contract. It was their attempt of trying to push the liability in my opinion in a predatory manner that negatively impacts consumers, who had no cause or role in the incident. Since the car was driven off, I knew keys were likely in the car. Joe did say that the keys were left in the car, but he also said that it was locked behind a steel gate and bollards, so it was common to leave keys in the car. The police report confirmed that my car was left unlocked in the service area. The dealership was negligent in leaving my car completely unlocked and the car was in their possession for services.On February 16th, I reached out to Maserati to schedule a meeting to resolve this situation. I met with Eric Martin, General Sales Manager at Maserati on February 18th.Eric apologized for the lack of communication from the dealership and assured me that the dealership will “make me whole;” Eric mentioned that he had a vehicle in mind that would be comparable to 2016 QP stolen vehicle. On February 26th, I went to see the comparable vehicle, which was a 2018 Quattroporte S with approximately 5,200 miles on it. Unfortunately, “keeping me whole” was a different meaning for Eric and his Sales team. All he wanted to do is offer a low number for my car that was stolen because of their negligence, have me repair the car using my own insurance, and then sell his newer QP for a slight discount. I felt that his effort was not in good faith, and he only was concerned about preserving the finances of the dealership and its ownership.The insurance company representing the dealer, Interstate Fire and Casualty, which is a Broadspire Company, wrongfully denied any liability on their client’s behalf. The dealership and the insurance company pushed this liability to my insurer, State Farm. I opened a claim with State Farm as I’ve had no choice and the car was repaired at Russell Westbrook Maserati, who did a great job repairing my car.I would highly suggest if you wanted to purchase or service a Maserati, you do not go to Maserati of Santa Monica. The ownership there does not value the consumer and they failed in protecting customer’s property. Also, the ownership showed their true motivations when they refused to reasonably work with me to resolve the matter they caused up until the time I made it a Legal matter. Beware of them and go to another dealer.

This dealership has great prices on vehicles but poor follow through with the delivery. I purchased a used Maserati and the car was delivered not detailed as promised. I am located in another state and after a month of promising to pay for the detailing service that was less than $300 I have still not received reimbursement. This leaves a poor impression of the dealership. I would recommend that the sales team not only be engaged during the sales process but execute throughout the complete sales process with the customer. This will ensure the customer has the optimal sales experience. Not following through will lead to not having repeat business and negative word of mouth. A luxury car business knows better so I would expect them to do better.

I have been going to this dealership for 4 years, over two cars, and have found then much better to work with than any car dealership in the past. They always get the car delivered on time, unless beyond their control. Service advisors are excellent, especially Casey. I travel 60+ miles to go there when a closer Maserati dealership is only 20 miles from my house.

I just want to thank Paul,Eric, and Casey and everybody else that works at Santa Monica. I know I live in Rancho Cucamonga, but the service is far none the best I could have bought anywhere. I chose this staff and this place because they are the best if youre looking for a new or late model Maserati. I highly recommend these individuals please see Paul and ask Casey when you have any issues with the vehicle, which Im assuming you will not because all their used vehicles are basically brand new!!!

I have no major complaints for service itself. But I have problems with my levante AC for rear passengers -- it blowing warm air if weather conditions is close to the temperature set in climate. They kept reffering that there are no error codes for this issue from obd scanner and there is nother they can do about it. They have checked freon level thought. But for me as a consumer it does not matter what codes are showing or not I just want my car to do at least basic functions correctly.

There was a safety recall on my Fiat. While there the car received an oil change and a tire had to be replaced. The services were performed with excellence. I was impressed because the car had to be left in their care over the weekend. I was Lyfted home and when the car was ready, I was Lyfted back to the dealership. I really appreciated that kind of personal service. The car was clean when I picked it up.

Asked to replace dome light bulb. They took 6 hours and didnt replace the bulb. However, they didnt tell me this. I had to check myself and then ask why it hadnt been fixed, at which point they said they could order the part for me. They shouldve given this information up front!

I never review anything but my experience on multiple occasions at Maserati of Santa Monica Service has been so horrible that I feel compelled to warn others. They nickel and dime you for everything, the prices are completely outrageous, the staff is rude and I’ve never encountered one helpful person who works there. They seems to do everything possible NOT to help you and make your experience difficult. STAY AWAY!!

The parts department of this dealership was going through a major move and the parts department was unavailable. Tony Velador, our hero, was able to work with us and the parts department to get us a major part to complete the repairs for Christmas. It is so nice to get help from a person who follows through and delivers the part even though the trucks were being used for their move. Amazing customer service, thank you Tony!!

Bad service overall. Ive tried to have patience with them for a while.Ive serviced my Granturismo here since 2 years and service had always been sub-par.They take forever to get you a loaner, keep your car for weeks even if its not worked on. The engineers/mechanics arent very good. The most recent service call took a month and 2000 dollars and issue was still not fixed.I think they lost the service contract for McLaren for this reason, their service is really bad.Please do not waste your time taking your car here, go to another dealerships service center.

Pity the owners of Maserati and Alfa Romeo cars have no alternative other than this outfit servicing the entire Los Angeles area. My very bad experience with their sales department in Santa Monica prompted me to purchase my car from the Alfa Romeo dealership in Costa Mesa.This outfit on Westgate is one of the most incompetent bunch of characters gathered under one roof. The place is a total chaos. Sadly these beautiful Italian machines would have to be handled by the inept staff employed by this outfit. My Alfa’s first oil change took from 8 AM to 5 PM. One small spare part was not in stock and icing on the cake was that at 5:30 PM they had lost my car and could not locate it on their chaotic lot.Next service, I will bite the bullet and take the long drive to the Orange Coast Alfa Romeo.

I first went to MBH Service and talked to JOHN, service master! after Rusnak in pasadena screwed me and had to take my car there twice and not to mention my car died once on the fwy and the other at a shopping center. After i took it to him, he explained to me the entire process, every time i called he made himself available and actually called back when he said he would. Most service guys call at the end of the day but John called within an hour and sometimes a bit later. The workmanship was flawless and really made me feel comfortable and peace of mind came while leaving my GranTurismo Sport with them. Everyone at BH Service were very friendly and asked if i needed anything. They strive to make you feel comfortable at tough times.

Horrible service! After keeping my car for five days, I had to call to get updates on it! Finally I get a hold of someone, they say it’s ready! I told them I will be there to get my car in 2 hours. When I got there I had to wait 30 mins, only to get my car filthy, horribly dirty with bird poop on its windows. They had the audacity to ask me if I like it cleaned and that had to wait 30 more minuets!!!!! I regret buying this car!!!! I wouldn’t take it for free!!!

Maserati sucks overall my car had an electrical issue and almost crashed. My car wouldn’t stop. Guarantee covered it but they still can’t let me know exactly what happened or how can I even know If it will happen again. Worst decision to buy a Maserati.

Been coming here for regular maintenance on my Fiat 124 spider and cant recommend them enough. Both Pedro and Casey have always taken care of me, the work always gets done quickly, and I havent had any mechanical issues with the vehicle after almost 40k miles. Pedro even went above and beyond to get something covered under the warranty even though Im a couple months out. Super grateful Ive consistently been coming here. Would recommend.
