Manual deserves 5 star but unfortunately he is under management of Gabriel who is unprofessional accusatory and flat out rude. I show up one door is locked the others open I proceed to enter the building manual proceed to take care of me very politely in orderly then Gabriel decides to step in accuse me of sneaking in the building as theyre closing and proceeds to completely deny my request to pick up the final paperwork that I had already finished .

This AAA location has super friendly staff! I purchased the Legacy license plates. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Thank you for an efficient and quick service.

The staff in this location is friendly, respectful and very helpful. Due to covid, lines in the DMV are long and you can spend hours before you get any help. Luckily AAA offers their members some DMV services. I was able to complete on a saturday my change of title/ownership after purchasing a vehicle and vehicle registration. The process was efficient and simple. You register at the front booth, they let you know wait time (in my case it was stated it would be 30 minutes but it was only 20 minutes) and they send you a text message when you are ready to be helped. Right away I was assisted by the staff who completed my title change and vehicle registrarion, walked out with my new registration vehicle sticker. THANK you for making such a tedious process simple and straight forward.

Smallest automobile club office I’ve been to on the Westside, but the free parking lot is large so it’s not a problem getting a space.I needed to pay my auto insurance renewal and was able to do that with no wait on a weekday afternoon. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this branch again.The unusual thing about this branch is, while the address is listed as on Santa Monica Blvd., the entrance in located in back of the building’s parking lot accessible in the side street called “Harvard.”

The manager at this location is very mean and does have in idea how to manage a business.

My experience has been more than pleasant. I have AAA roadside assistance, car insurance on 2 cars and rental insurance. AAA has always rose to the occasion on all occasions. On Saturday March 13th 2021The waiting time was at least 1 hour and 15 minutes as 19 people were ahead of me and more were coming into the parking lot. You have to wait outside in your car and there are noParking spaces left in the shade

Just before the COVID-19 epidemic started I need to register my car from out of state, to my surprise everything was closed.Right after AAA opened I took all my paperwork to them and a AAA representative named Jasmine from the Santa Monica, CA branch helped me, she was very pleasant and very nice along with knowing what I need to do and her professionalism was second to none.I consider Jasmine a real team player and everyone on her AAA team are like family to me now.I highly recommend this AAA branch to anyone.Thank you, Jasmine and AAA

95% of the reason I have aaa is for dmv services. I walk up theres covid signs. I get half way through the door then I hear wait. Pretty girl walks up. Can I help you? Im here to do dmv stuff.(should have satisfied)What dmv stuff? I moved changing addresses. Can you answer the 3 questions on the board for me? ok. No No and No. Ok follow me, stand here until they become available. I look around, Im literally the only customer in the joint. Confusing enough that I had to ask the lady at the desk if I could approach the desk. Hi Im here to change the address on my vehicles and license. We dont do change of addresses anymore...... Just power trippin tone. The only thing they can do is registration.

When you get there you have to check in at the front door then theyll call you on your phone and you could come in meanwhile you have to wait in your car if its hot you better have an air conditioner 😉

I think the Santa Monica office really is organized well post COVID-19 lockdown. One note: It would be helpful to look at my actual policy when listening to the agent.

DESPITE THE CURRENT SITUATION I WAS ABLE TO GO IN AND MAKE A PAYMENT.EMPLOYEES WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE TOLD THERE WAS A WAIT-TIME OF ALMOST 3 HOURS FOR DMV-TRANSACTIONS.OVERALL POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.

I live 2 min from the one in culver city I rather drive to santa monica because the people are more nice and faster and friendly the personal in culver they have i problem they are mad every time i go and it take the same time as the dmv i see theme ony taking to each other and make people wait for more time

Great place to get an international driver’s license. We were in and out of there in 10 minutes. Friendly staff and efficient process.

The people in there are all phenomenal and kind, but Wow. Severely understaffed. They need at least one or two more persons. 20min wait turned to two hours extra hours. The people working there are heroic and multitasking processing registrations and taking passport photos simultaneously and more. They cannot possibly work any faster. Legit heroes.But whoever the hiring/staffing manager is needs to be evaluated cause it’s legitimate negligence how understaffed they are.

Still waiting for my plates... it’s funny how you get no call backs or the postcard they said they would send when my plates were in. Now I’m hearing they might have been sent back because they didn’t call me or do their job correctly. Welcome to American standard of service. Been calling for these all year with the run around and now this. Smdh... time for a change.

Took care of a transfer of title and didnt have to go to the DMV. Complete win. I think it was 15 $ charge for this service. Definitely worth the time saved and the convenience.

Was easy and pleasant. All the people there were great. Customers not always. You may have to wait about 10mins to speak with someone but it is worth wait considering you may wait the DMV for 1 to 2 hours

The worst of the worst! Took a while to buy CA auto insurance, had to visit them like 7 times to apply for discount for education (I have a PhD degree), the agent was new and did not know how to use a computer. I was transferring to CA from AAA of another state after changing job. Instead of providing me with a discount they canceled the policy 3 months later though I paid for a full year. It was because after reviewing my data they found out that they dont insure people who are also licensed in another country and can drink and drive outside the US without them knowing about it. I was also licensed in Russia since before I came to the US, but I had a US drivers license and continuous US car insurance policy for the past 12 years with absolutely no fines or violations. Apparently, they dont insure people from the street and it is a privilege to be insured by AAA of Southern CA, their agent told me. For another month they were promising a refund for the policy, saying that they sent it to my current address. Well, called AAA federal number and came out they did not. I had a long interaction with the head of this branch, he lied to me all the time. Switched to another insurance provider, the same policy is 40% cheaper and everything is done online.

We went to the Auto Club in Santa Monica to register our leased car for a family member in California without knowing that registration required a power of attorney letter from the cars owner . C.B was very nice to help us contact our the owners agent by phone and fax. After we left California, she updated us by e-mail. Finally she helped our California resident to complete the registration and get license plates. We highly recommend this location and especially thank C.B.

I had to come here recently to get a renewal of my temporary handicap placard (I broke my ankle and have difficulty walking distances). While the place was fairly crowded, they were quick and efficient. I checked in at the front desk and then sat and waited for my name to be called. I then handed the paperwork and my payment to the girl that was helping me and she got me my placard. I think I was in and out within about 15 minutes.I definitely recommend being a member of AAA because you never know when you will need their assistance and being a member lets you skip the hassle of dealing with the DMV for certain things (like paying your registration or getting handicap placards). I think they only take cash or check though so make sure you bring that with you. This location has a large parking lot, so that also made things a lot easier.

The woman who helped me get my international drivers license was simply wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Yes you do need to wait so bring something to read. They do have a very nice large parking lot which is good so you do not have to pay for parking. All in all a good experience. Certainly beats going to the DMV as well by the way!

Love this office the service is fast n very professional. They have a well versed staff on insurance questions n trips of course as well. Plenty of parking free parking at that completes the great experience of using this office.

They are only nice when they open your account. Once its done, you are just a number. Beware, if anything happens, no one will cut you any slack. The only way to get some decent service is over the phone with corporate. We will go back to Nationwide after this contract is over.

Beware of this AAA location as this happened to me twice already!! Always be on alert of when you should properly be called next. I caught them calling someone before me after I had checked in way before him where we both were there for the same DMV services. I called out the AAA employees on it and they had the nerve to lie to me instead of a general apology or an excuse that would have made more sense. Just be alert at all times or else youll be a victim like me that had to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes!!

Ive been sick and unable to renew car registration and got fine and then warning. I asked friend to go to Santa Monica AA office. Was worried they wouldnt let him renew it for me. The lovely customer support woman said not to worry..she said I think you would not be paying for someone elses car registration unless you loved her. 👌

Love AAA. So convenient, close to home and one stop getting everything done. Small yearly fee saves you so much time instead of having to go to the DMV. Youre in and out quickly. Pleasant employees. Highly recommend AAA.

This is the closest location to my home, and it is easy to get to. It is not far off the 10 and has an ample parking lot. Depending on whos Manning the front desk, it can be pleasant or abrupt experience and how you are treated. The weights can be long but they do have DMV services and other employees have been there awhile and havent gone through the rotisserie of being brought in from other locations who actually understand and know the locals and are less abrupt and rude. They can do a lot of things at this particular office so its a good office to visit.

Went in this morning shortly after opening to get an international drivers permit and had an excellent experience. Easy parking, signed in, waited about 5-10 minutes to be helped and they got my picture and was out the door within another 10 minutes with the permit in hand. Very nice and helpful staff.

The staffs were helpful. The facility was clean. I went to get my international drivers license, and the process was fast and easy. There was only one person before me, but I think the wait time could be shorter.

This place is worst than DMV were waiting for like more than 2hours and only one person is working we went here because they said it faster here but we think it is a mistake. They should put more people to work.

Service prompt and friendly. On a busy day I usually wait at the most 15 minutes. If you time it just right, within the firzt few hours of opening or at lunch time during the week, I am usually in and out in about 5 minutes. Beats going to the DMV where they move like snails.
