They have been awesome and sincerely all of them are concerned about your well being and safety. Steve, Tyler, all your guys you know who you areThey call a few times a week, to make sure I am ok, if theres anything I need They can only do so much but if they are capable its done no problem. Showers, food, and if you need a ride to them they come for you. They have to pass you on to the next step who are long term in finding resources. They have always been honest about it they cant help they find who can. Thanks you guys for everything. Thanks Dr Meyers for refilling all my medicativons. Seeing me when I needed to be seen. The place is clean and if you just need to go kick it for a while you are welcome to go watch t.v, use the phone. There doors are always open at least they been to me . So if they havent been what were you doing that you werent welcome.?? Thanks again!

I have found no help here. They will bounce you around like a ping pong ball. They dont want to help & pass you off as soon as possible. Dont bother asking their doctors to fill the prescriptions they gave you. It isnt going to happen

I was here too many times to count this place really saved my life. Thanks to all the staff there who helped me realize my full potential. I have finally got some time clean and sober and am coping with my depressive disorder. They helped me realize my full potential and helped me to be the productive independent man I am today. Love you guys! Thanks Tele, Cindy, Debrah, Mary, and all the staff who changed my life for the better and helped me find my higher power and place in the community!

I have never had a worse experience in my life using this facility during a very difficult time suffering from depression. There are select SELECT staff members that have a heart, but as far as I felt otherwise, by the rest I was just a number. Because of CARES, my extreme trust issues escalated to their highest degree. I mentioned the word suicide, and I was thrown in a mental hospital AGAINST MY WILL, NO WARNING GIVEN even though I was not going to kill myself and I told them that. They said that ANYTIME THE WORD SUICIDE IS SPOKEN, NO MATTER HOW CASUALLY, WE HAVE TO CALL LAW ENFORCEMENT. It was not about helping someone who is depressed, it was about pressing the cop button anytime a word against their protocol was spoken. NARCS, so to speak. Therefore, I had no further ability to talk candidly with them about my feelings. They had a C- grade in their ability to actually help you. At times, I felt I was being counseled by a 6th grader with 6th grade wisdom. I could have thought of that myself! This is why the service is free of charge: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Because of them, I have turned away from psychiatric services for life. I could have fared much better without them. I would not wish this place on my worst enemy.PS. The waiting room time to see these people is so long, it would give a person plenty of time to drown themselves in the water from the sink faucet before they would even notice you were dead, or even due for an appointment. Seriously. That is how little CARES cares.

I would have given CARES five stars but was disappointed they wouldt let my son stay the maximum 30 days. I guess they needed the bed but my son was facing homelessness. The place was clean and the staff was caring and helpful. It was shockingly different from Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena he had just come from.

The other day I had no food, I was going crazy, I am a mental health patient and belong at mental health on Foster road ; however, mental health is now ran by Elodie Patarias, who since her promotion, she has treated the meds at mental health like shes the one making them at home. Shes very very greedy about giving out foster road care. So for that reason, I had no other choice but to walk to cares, there Santiago was very very professional and he gave me my privacy. Victoria, saw how sick I was and she offered and made me a bowl of soup. I was too sick to eat. I want to thankyou Victoria and Santiago. You were great. Lourdes, thankyou for reminding me not to blow it when you dropped me off at the food bank. God Bless.
