Paid almost $800 to have a problem fixed, 150 miles later the same problem happens same-side same tire same, took it back now they are saying it needs a whole new assembly, wanting an additional $1,500. Why was this not caught the first time? How to have it towed and two different times fifteen Miles away. Then came home unfixed on a tow truck with estimates of $9,000 worth of repairs needed done. I am done with these people, I am done with Mercedes Benz mechanics. There has only been one that actually told the truth and fixed it properly. Well go figure that was also a reasonable price and thats a big and he worked on it over Fourth of July weekend. But Im not driving 400 mi each time I need a repair.
Took my car only to know what sensor I needed to buy,.they charge me 140$ for diagnostic, made a list of repairs I needed in 30 mins, I was told to change my air filters when I had changed them out 5 days prior to inspection, leads me to believe they didnt really check properly. All repairs they listed totalled to around 2,700$. I did all repairs at home all for less than 450$. They said I need a front brake service so I bought a brake kit only to find the pads and rotors were still really good, even to this day they send me notifications to go in for maintenance, which I refuse because I really dont trust them.
These guys are meticulous! I have a special edition sports car that is 15 years old with only 24,000 miles. It gets special attention at Rizzoli’s. Even the dealership does not how to work on this vehicle!My car is always in tip top shape and carefully cared for. They make sure it is always in great shape and drives as beautifully as it looks. I would not take it any where else.

Rizzolis Automotive is a professional shop that does quality work. The staff is very friendly and informative about your car needs. They are thorough and explain the work needed and priorities. I am a car guy and knew what my BMW needed and they did not oversell or perform unnecessary work. BMWs and European cars are expensive to repair and maintain so dont expect cheap work on your expensive car. Rizzolis will definitely be less expensive than a dealer. I felt like Rizzolis was a fair price for outstanding/ top notch work and trustworthy.

These guys are awesome. I have a BMW, and they do a great job fixing it and maintaining it. They arent out looking to squeeze every dollar out of my pocket. BMWs are expensive cars to maintain, and Rizzolis does their best to keep the cost within reason. I love that they wash the car each time it goes in for service too.
First time going to Rizzolis Automotive. I was impressed at how thorough their service is. Their inspections give a complete review of the car. The Santa Maria facility is very clean and well-kept. It is easy to see they take a lot of pride in their work and maintaining a clean, well-organized shop. The staff is very friendly, courteous and customer service oriented.
Staff are always helpful and friendly. I dont know why people say they are too expensive... Id rather pay a bit more for excellent honest work than have a terrible job done at a cheap rate. You get what you pay for!

The people at the reception desk are so wonderful! I got my 90,000 mile checkup a couple months ago and they were great to deal with. I have a 2005 Honda Element that I love! I’m sure they would rather fix the BMWs or other cool cars, but I was treated with respect - if you love your car, we do to!My latest problem was the auto window part broke, they looked up my service record and the part was still under warranty, even paying nothing for the repair, they were fabulous to deal with!The only problem with Rizzoli’s is that I’m never waiting long enough to take advantage of their amazing waiting area!
All though, there may be some customers who come only for do-nut Thursdays, I return each and every time knowing that Rizzolis service is always exemplary. As I drive away, I always leave feeling confident that all issues have been attended to with accuracy and efficiency. But moreover,I especially appreciate the warm and personal greetings I receive by the crew at the reception desk both early in the morning and at the close of day.
Very polite and professional staff. Trustworthy and courteous. Im always able to get my car in right away. A little expensive for simple tasks like cleaning battery posts and changing wiper blades, but never pushy with their recommendations. They accept No thanks, for an answer.
Came in for a simple repair and left with a laundry list of things they suggested. Most were routine maintenance so I had the work done. Some of the parts were really pricey. They forgot to reset the diagnostics after my oil change so I needed to go back two weeks later to have that done.
The people of Rizzolis were friendly, professional and polite. They also took the time to thoroughly explain to me the problems my vehicle was having.The pricing of the repairs was much better than I expected and I am extremely happy with the work done.I am definitely going to return to Rizzolis for future repairs. I would recommend this place to my mother.

Ive gone to Rizzolis twice for an oil change on my S10 They have been courteousand prompt in getting it done. I appreciate that they offer a ride to and from their shop.They also do a wonderful job of inspecting other parts of the car and letting me knowif there are any other problems. I receive a full printout and can make an informed decision on what and when any other work should be done. Love that they wash it before they return it.
This place will rip you off specially if you dont know much about cars. My friend got charged $86 for a diagnostic( that should have been free )and was told he had to pay about $900 for a motor mount that needed to be replaced.I went over to ask them about the problem and asked them to show me what exactly cost $900. I told them that was excessive and that I was taking the car with me so they offered to take a couple hundred $$ off but that was still way too much money.I did my friend a favor, took the car out of there, ordered the parts online and only cost $200 plus an hr of my time to replace the parts.Theres plenty of good shops around who will do great honest work for a cheaper price.
Ive been a customer of Rizzolis for years. I have had several cars over the years, BMWs and Mercedes in the past and an American car now. Theyve performed excellent service on all of my vehicles. The entire staff is courteous, prompt and professional. My cars are always returned in clean working order. I brought my older BMW in for some regular maintenance -- transmission service, rear diff service, and an oil change. They came back at me the next day with a list of problems that had to be taken care of or the car is hazardous to drive and tried to get me to approve a long list of stuff over the phone.Among other things on the $6800 list, were such dangerous items as the rear left window does not roll down and needs further checking. Upon further investigation, it does roll down. 20 cents of sand paper will fix the switchs corrosion issue.The AC does not work and needs to be diagnosed - ITS A CONVERTIBLE. and its a mostly temperate area -- If its too hot to drive, then I drive with the top down.Front and rear sway bars are in bad shape ($2000 of the estimate) -- Brought it to another mechanic I can take em off for you. They dont do much except stabilize it going around corners, so dont hot dog around corners and youll be fineThe one repair they said was critical, and the other place said wouldnt be a bad idea, the other mechanic recommended using junkyard parts and would charge half as much if he could find one.Most of their prices seemed reasonable. Well, other than the $150 oil change because they stripped the drain plug. This is the third time in 15 years of driving that Ive had a place admit to stripping the drain plug, and the ONLY ONE that charged me extra for repairing it. I figured it was worth it to get out of there for $150, and next time, Ill bring it a mile and a half away to a different shop.Service provided, however, appeared to be well done, including airing up my spare, which was a nice touch. I wont recommend them to anyone driving a beater, but if you want good service and dont care about price, they seem to do a great job. Thats why they get 2 stars, not less.

Stand up auto shop! Rizzolis Rocks! Won my household over several months ago when both Mazda and Honda could not figure out a problem with our vehicle. We took it to Rizzolis and they called me back within 2 hours and told me the problem, the cost, and why, then they fixed it! They are professional, they have excellent service advisors, and they have extremely thorough techs who are excellent at their job. I highly recommend you use Rizzolis! You will get peace of mind, assurance, excellent service, and a well running vehicle!

Earlier this year, my Honda needed a plethora of repairs. I brought it to Rizzolis and they fixed it right up. More recently, I took my wifes VW in. Both times, I have received honest, top notch service. I really appreciate the detailed inspection reports. Rizzolis really is the premier repair facility for our region.

Please be careful with these guys. They seem to be trained to suggest work that doesnt really need to be done to your vehicle. Took my very well maintained audi s4 in to have a pre-purchase inspection done for a prospective buyer. They said that several services were overdue, or needed attention. All those things just been completed by the dealer a couple weeks prior. So i knew that it was not true. Just be careful. Also, the quotes that they provided were approximately three times what it would have cost to have done elsewhere, even the dealer would have been cheaper.

My wife and I were traveling home to Folsom from Valley Center when our XC90 began misfiring. There in no Volvo dealership in Santa Maria so I googled my phone to find a repair shop that worked on Volvos. Rizzolis came up so we drove over there.Our experience was incredible.The problem was diagnosed and repair options were discussed within a half hour. Two and one half hours later repairs were complete and we were back on the road.All of us know that breaking down away from home can be fraught with peril.Not with Rizzolis. Their service people made sure we comfortable and safe while repairs were in progress. I cannot thank them enough for how they treated us.

Do Not Go There. I asked for a written estimate five times and they would not provide it. I took my sons car in to find out what was leaking. I am 70 yrs old and I told them he has to approve all repairs. They would not provide a written estimate. 3 days later I get a bill for $1834 on a 2004 Volvo with 281,688 miles. It was a junker and they listed $8,000 more repairs. I never gave any authorization . Then they gave me liability release form stating I had to release them from any and all work performed on the vehicle related to that invoice. I would not sign it because I did not know what was done to the car. I have emails I sent to them requesting a written estimate. They would not respond. DO NOT GO THERE. Its been a Horrible experience.
Phill & Randy were very accomodating & helpful. I came in for maintainance check up. They made me feel comfortable while waiting. They also offered a free service ride in case I needed to go somewhere while waiting for my car to get done. This was my first trip to an autoshop, and I am fully satisfied. This is the place to go for car care!

They took care of my Saturn as if it was an E-class MBZ and did it for less than the dealership! The convenience of the dealership being available on Saturday is out weighted by the customer service at Rizzolis.

I have a slightly older, 2002 Volkswagen Passat with a lot of miles on it. I found Rizzolis through another person in town who recommended them, and Im so glad I did. As a woman I appreciate that they dont talk to me like an uneducated child when telling me what is wrong with my car, which is what happens at many other shops. While other reviews have disliked the list of things that are wrong with the car, Ive never had them try to give me a hard sell to get those things fixed immediately, and I appreciate knowing what is on the to do list. It helps me budget to get the repairs that are needed done in a way I can afford.Their oil changes cost more, this is true, but they clean the car, inside and out, each time I bring it in. I live in Santa Maria, where its dusty and dirty all the time and I dont have a garage. The last time I took my car for an oil change you could barely tell that the car was red it was so dusty, and they still cleaned it.My boyfriend took his car in to have the brakes fixed, and after installing the new parts, Rizzolis was still not satisfied with how it performed, so they replaced the parts at NO extra charge. They could have just sent him home with brakes that werent perfect and done the repair again later at additional cost to him, but they didnt.They dont advertise as a discount repair shop, and you probably will pay a bit more for their services, but Ive never had a problem with any repair theyve done, and Ive never felt unappreciated as a customer.

Yesterday afternoon Friday, May 3, I was on Skyway when my tire went flat so I made a right onto Tama Lane to get out off traffic in order to put on the spare. I was loosening the lug nuts prior to jacking up my Jeep and with myluck continuing to hold, the fifth lug nut was on so tight I couldnt budge it! My sister added her grip to the lug wrench and WE still couldnt budge it!As we were contemplating our next move, a young man wearing a Rizzolis Automotive shirt bearing the name Alex, asked if we needed assistance. Upon our affirmative response, Alex went to the back of the Jeep to check out my spare.It was at this time I informed him that I could not locate the key for the wheel lock on the spare. He said no problem, Im sure I have a tool that will take it off and back he went to the shop and returned with a jack, ratchet wrench and multiple sockets.Alex proceeded to exchange the damaged tire with the spare in short order. Afterwards he had me drive across the street and into a service bay where he added air to my spare and after asking for the year of my Jeep, looked up the torque specs and properly tightened the lug nuts. He did this knowing I was on my way to a tire shop only a few miles away. Wow!Alex went above and beyond. Alex provided all of this service as a good Samaritan. I have no doubt that he was able to do what was in his heart because he knew that his employer would not have a problem with him doing so.I would be remiss if I did not mention the fact that not only was Alex an extremely competent professional mechanic, he was also very personable. Sadly, as a woman, it has been my experience more often than not that male mechanics have been condescending when discussing matters of a mechanical nature. Alex was the exception to that rule.I recently relocated to Santa Maria and have as yet to need an auto shop. However, when I do, I know EXACTLY where to go for service. As a non-customer, let me emphasize NON-PAYING customer, I already know the customer service and quality of work at Rizzolis is first rate! I will also be singing the praises of Rizzolis to everyone I meet for quite a while to come!!Did I mention that Friday, May 3 was also my birthday...

Over the years, I have been at both San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria locations; both are excellent businesses that treat you as a person as well as take care of your cars. I have had an engine replaced with the help of Brad and Kyle in SLO who treated my situation very carefully and professionally, since I was devastated to hear the news. I sold my Ice Cube BMW shortly after that and was so happy to have my new Chevy Cruze serviced in Santa Maria since I work there. Phil is friendly, sweet and always professional. I love that they take the extra step of serving coffee, shuttling me to work and my car is always returned clean. I could go to other places, that are cheaper, to get my oil changed, but still love the service I receive at Rizzolis.

Charged me 130$ to check into an axle seal and an oil leak which were priced at 1,500$ for both. Fixed the oil leak in 30 minutes with a ten dollar o-ring and replaced the axle seal for about 15$ and 2 hours labor. Total scam artists stay away!

Open a way to follow a history of a car what happens that I have a year that I grab a car and apparently from the signs that I brought I think the transmission was damaged when putting it in the d or what other change does not enter then it takes a few seconds and when The gearbox does not work very well, the box skids and my question was that if you could get the history of a car that was repaired with you, of course I did not take it, maybe the previous owner as I was finding out the transmission series scan the code a plate that they stuck in the transmission and their information came out of their workshop that was repairedTo know more or less what the damage was and how serious I hope that I do not have to replace the transmission a lot of money even though I doubt it with the symptoms unlikely that it is still good, thank you and if you could give me or by hand and if there is no way or you can not archive that type of information ps neither way there is no problem
