It has been bit more than 2 months. They said they were going to be responsible for the repairs however they had done nothing!!! I had already made 3 payments to the loan and I still don’t have my vehicle. The mechanics over at Kia dealership was waiting on Mike to approve further repairs to the motor. I come to find out that it was not only an oil leak, but had water and oil in the heads( engine) that could have cause a huge EXPLOSION! They not only put my life in danger but my three young children!!! I am a single mother that was just looking for a family vehicle and they did not care for our safety. Shame to find out I purchased an auto fraud vehicle. They sale all the vehicles AS-IS so I am stuck with a $20,000 loan plus $6,000 of repairs. Hopefully someone reads this and don’t buy anything from Carmotive. I tried reaching out for auto fraud purchase attorneys, but since I bought it AS-IS they can’t help me. Think twice before buying at Carmotive.

Very unprofessional management, poor customer service, I took my car in for a trade in looking for a charger/challenger but still went open minded. We looked at another option but we were told the WRONG price up until we were signing for the papers & them giving us our monthly payments. The salesman was bragging about how intoxicated him & his coworkers were & how he would give us some dab oil if we purchased the car DURING OUR TEST DRIVE ! we didn’t want the deal but they kept my registration of MY car for 5 Days ( ITS ILLEGAL, THEY COULD HAVE CALLED ), refused to give it back. I called & showed up to get it back but the MANAGER had very foul language was very rude, we called the Salesman that was working with us & he had very foul language as well. When they finally gave it back we realized THEY RIPPED the new “2021” sticker that was on the registration. DONT recommend, they SCAM. They have paid people to take their bad reviews off . would rate 0 stars if i could.

Four months after buying the car ( as-is, I have to say), it started having problems, accelerating poorly, leaking a fluid. I took it to their mechanic, He claimed to the leak was condensation from the A/C, but still added antifreeze to the recovery bottle. On the way home, the car became more sluggish and when I got home, I notice a line of fluid trailing behind it. UPDATE 2/14/19:While driving the car to the Carmotive lot on January 30, 2019, it quit moving altogether, leaving me stranded at Railroad Ave and Creston. A good Samaritan gave me a ride the rest of the way. After sitting in the show room, for 2hours, the manager had one of the salesman drive me to where the car was. He said the transmission was gone. I eventually had an auto wrecking yard pick it up. I am very angry about the entire thing. I would recommend to anyone considering buying from them to either think twice or bring a mechanic. In fact I would rate them ZERO stars if I could.

For my first time buy it was great service they did everything they could to help me out and get me into something I needed for my family but could also use for work I recommend coming here for a car especially if you have bad credit or anything. The experience wasnt a bad one by far, just more of a strange one. Before I went in I spoke with someone named Mike, so when I went into the dealership I was greeted by someone who said his name was Mike. I explained that I had been contacted by Mike and he said it was him who I was looking for. Mike helped me pick out a car, answered all of my questions, and was very pleasant. However, the whole time it seemed as though he was in a rush. He didnt make ME feel rushed or uncomfortable, but he was moving very quickly as if he had something else to do. Fast forward, once I did all the paperwork, Mike told me to meet him at the Shell gas station on Main Street because they were going to pay for my gas (the car I bought literally only had 9 miles to E left). I drove to the Shell and waited, and waited, and waited. I waited for about 15 minutes before I called the dealership. I explained the situation, asked for Mike, and the person on the phone told me Mike wasnt there because Mike is the GM, not a salesperson. I assured the person on the phone that the salesperson said his name was Mike. I confirmed this with my wife who had also been present all day. Anyways, no one ever came to fill up my tank or came back to the phone. When I left to go home, the Mike I was talking to the day before texted me asking if I was coming in to test drive a car! Who is the salesperson I had I been talking to all day? Lastly, the salesperson (because at this point his name obviously isnt Mike) told me my payments would be one amount after I made x amount of payments, but the lender from the bank told me that isnt true a few days later. Nonetheless, theyre nice people.

First and foremost I want to say that I am thankful for them getting a car for me asap. Same day with a co-signer. However moving forward it was a nightmare. How people have given this place 5 stars baffles me given how many horror stories I have heard and experienced. We had to go back 3 times to sign paperwork. The shady business actually had Coast Hills DENY my loan a week after, I had to go back and re-do it again. Mind you I was working 2 full time jobs so super inconvenient - but I needed to buy a new car after an accident so I had to push quickly. I wish I would have gone another place. I was so eager to get the car I did not inspect it as much as I should have. Not only were there scratches and chips all throughout the paint, but I noticed a raise where the stereo is. The manual for the stereo showed a different stereo, which made sense why the stereo did not work. They did not care to help but sent me to a different company to look at it, they could not help me. I am fortunate that I knew someone at Ford Buellton who was able to help me get it set up correctly. When my coast hills loan went through and the woman started the inspection she claimed they have had nothing but issues with Carmotive. ALL OF MY TIRES were different ages and brands. I’ve had issues left and right and ended up buying new tires. I can’t afford getting a full paint job to fix the chips ALL throughout the car, sadly but I will survive. Then whilst waiting for my plates I never got anything, I drove around for months sans plates. I am fortunate that I never got pulled over, so when one of my odd tired gave this week I went over to the great tire shop behind the place who also confirmed the tires were all not the same nor the same age. I get it is a used car but for how much I Had to get a loan for this car it is unbelievable!!! I went to the office at 9, greeted as an nuisance. I explained I was a customer who never got plates. She was kind and changed her attitude after she knew I was a customer ( the week before when I called the man who answered said he could not help me with my plates and hung up ) they called ONCE for me to get my plates. This is not a $100 dollar purchase this a purchase that ends up being over $20k between used and different tires, excuses for not getting my plates to me, hidden scratches and chips in paint, and what looks like a stereo change I am so angry with myself with my purchase, damage and rust that was not immediately noticeable. Not to even mention the horror stories from friends And family who told me their experiences that they had here. Even the tow truck I just dealt with said his gf had a contract revoked!!! It took her 5 to 6 months to get her $4k down payment back!!!! Coast Hills even doesn’t like doing business with them if that gives you a clue. Please do your full research before getting a car here. It will be a nightmare unless you ensure your way through. I don’t usually enjoy being a bad reviewer but this place does not deserve 5 stars. I’m sure most of the clients are taken advantage of. It’s beyond anything I have ever seen.

I had put a review about how well the sales repe handled my family member needs. Found the right car, right price, right down payment. Something I call Slam Dunk deal. We were told that the car we looked at was locked for her and as long she communicate the car was hers. This was about a month ago. We came back to do paperwork, and final down payment.... nope! We were told that after 30 days the car was released and sold. No 30 days was told to her. They would get her into another car and roll everything over. Nope wanted more down. All said and down if you dont have your full down payment, and its on the weekend. Look somewhere else. A handshake is not a seal bond with the car dealer.On another note our family member and I were really impressed by the other sales rep Andrew Lopez for doing his best to get my family member into her first new car. We know he tried his best to get us the better deal. On our view with Andrew Lopez 5 stars all around!

First day I got my car I was happy but then the next day it started heating up. Before I signed for the car I was told everything was up to date and good. Again only the second day of having my car it started heating up. They did fix it but I took it to get diagnose and everything they said was good needed maintenance also needed a smog after I signed. I felt lied to and cheated only thing I’m happy about is building my credit. Won’t be coming back for a trade.

They don’t inspect their cars!! If I can give no stars I would. Staff is friendly at first. When you have to bring the car back because something isn’t right they get upset, ignore your calls, point fingers at everyone else. They act like children. The manager blames it on the owner when he is the MANAGER!! Manage your shop good, don’t blame the owner when you’re at fault. Horrible place to purchase a car. Also father in law purchased a truck here and a month later he brought it back because the brakes were falling off because they didn’t check it before selling!!! All 4 brakes were the same.
