Yesterday I stopped in with my mother to have a vintage watch looked at. They broke the bad news that the previous watch maker had ruined the watch, and nothing could be done. But they were more than happy give her ideas on how to repurpose the piece. While in there, I fell in love with a 2011 Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean that they had for sale. They were more than happy to let me try it on and look at it as well, and I ended up walking out with it. They even offered to refresh the piece, or do it while I’m back in town.Great Prices, great people. 10/10
The list of services is incorrect. They do not do battery replacement. Or, perhaps they do if they like the look of you? The guy in the shop declined pretty rudely when I asked about it.I am in the market for a vintage watch and was looking forward to seeing what he had. We left because we were so uncomfortable.
Professional and Fair Pricing… The Owners and Staff are just amazing !! Great Place
Hours are 10 to 5 M-Th. Thats fine but when I arrive there theres a sign saying back in 10. I waited 25 minutes and had to leave to get back to work. Just another example of the lax attitude in Santa Fe. Oh and they are 14 weeks out on a repair! Dont recommend!!
The store is in an obscure office building and not easy to find. Once you do find the mostly unmarked entrance to building, you have to wander down a hallway to find this place. There are only two small cases with Swiss brand watches. Most are in good condition and are Omega. There are a few other affordable ones made by Tissot and similar. There specialty is really more maintenance of watches and conditioning them. Very small little place, I would call ahead and make sure there is something you like before going.
They fixed 2 watches that I needed in time for a wedding. Not only did they find 1 part I needed, but they rebuilt another part and had them fixed within 24 hours. I highly recommend this place.
Pulled the pin from my watch to remove condensation from inside glass and could not reinsert. An on-line search indicated a jeweler should be able to reset the mechanism that holds the pin and shouldn’t be too expensive. I took my watch to world class watches. Very quaint store and pleasant staff. A day later, I received a call that they would need to disassemble the unit, but it was dirty and dry they would offer a service that cleaned and greased. Quoted 350 and 4 to 5 weeks. Agreed. After 11 weeks and a dismissive call at 8 weeks. I went to to get my watch even if it were in pieces. Said it was ready (don’t know why they never called). And the balance was $500. Today. I have condensation in my watch.
Outstanding service for all my watch needs. Never disappointed with their work.
Very knowledgeable and had a nice selection of luxury watches.
I had a Fortis wrist band repaired at this shop.Six weeks later the wrist band comes undone, and the watch falls on a concrete floor.I explain to this watch repair shop what happened, and I drop the watch off for repair. They call me, saying that the mechanics of this watch is slow, and that they are willing to fix it for $380.I had this watch serviced for 100 Euros in Europe by a Certified watchmaker. When I relay this story, the shopkeeper tells me: “you get what you pay for.”Meaning, I got lousy prior service....A week later, after this story, the watch is seamless on time, did not loose a beat, nor a minute ...in a whole week!Needless to say, I do not trust this scammer, nor does he earn my business anymore!
Courteous, helpful organization. They were able to find a new movement for my early 80s TAG Heuer and install it at a reasonable price. When I was having issues a few weeks later with the hands hitting, I brought it back and they fixed it, no questions asked. After almost a year, the new movement is still working precisely. Highly recommended.
I brought in my two dead Swiss Army Watches: I just had a new battery put in at a fancy Jewelry store in New Orleans and it wasnt keeping time. The other, I had put a new battery in a while ago, but it stopped keeping time as well.Bob was very helpful, he kept them over night to diagnose them and it turned out the battery had been put in incorrectly in New Orleans and the other one they got working again. All at no charge. Great place, great guys. Im always coming here from now on.
Paula and David are stellar business owners, very professional and capable. Great communication
I had my omega watch brought in to repair the bracelet. Then bent some metal to make it work but I would have been happy to have a new clasp put on rather then the Jerry rig.
As a short term visitor to Santa Fe, I suddenly had a *wardrobe malfunction* (my non-expensive Orient watch had a spring rod or post break) and I needed a quick repair. I called the shop to see if I could get a quote, as I was wary of being ripped off. I knew I could buy a repair kit on Amazon for about $20, but didnt really want a bunch of new watch repair gear. They gave me a totally fair quote, and I went in and they repaired it within a minute. They even inspected the other main rod / post to see if it was about to fail. All in all, I was very impressed with their professionalism and honesty. Highly recommend. My Dad also says they are the best in town. Thanks.
Bought and sold watches with David. Best service, total class operation, extremely knowledgeable. Anything to do with watches starts here. Carol Allen Real Estate Broker Santa Fe
I found the staff to be polite and professional. They stock an unusually fine selection of Ball railroad watches. I just wish they hadnt been too backed up with other work to do my Ball watch repair because I was confident in their knowledge and skill. Thanks for the nifty Ball ballcap!
Very good knowledge of watch brands, mechanical workings and fair price.
There are a few things about this business that are world class-The location is in Santa Fe, and the decor is attractive. There are many things that are not world class, and amongst these would be the following: Professionalism, Courtesy, Communication Skills or an Understanding of Business Ethics. If you are looking to spend a couple thousand dollars on a used antique watch for your partner to signify your time in Santa Fe, this shop is great place for that. Mr. Perlowin is a Haute Horlogerie graduate, and apparently feels this gives him the right to flog you with his superiority. My experience with him was punctuated by his extreme rudeness, his extraordinary ineptitude and multiple trips back to him to correct his oversights and neglect. If you are a lover of the finer things in life this is NOT a business to frequent, so please spare yourself the pain that walking through his doors will create.
Watch battery changed parking bad when more than 2 customer good people
Had my battery changed for 18 dollars. Just found out batteries plus in town does it for 8. What a ripoff.
Don’t you love showing up to a closed store during business hours. Useless.
