See the common thread in comments? Dishonest staff. They charged us $250 for a pet cleaning fee when we dont have a pet. I tried to explain that the pet hair they spotted was from the wool throw blanket on the couch which shed a lot. They could care less. Big scam . We also had an ant issue in our master bathroom. Too bad, the house itself was beautiful but the service is HORRIBLE. Stay away.
All the staff are always delightful to work with. They have some of the most beautiful homes in Santa Fe . I do plenty of business with them through my company Baby Quip - Baby Gear Rentals and I have never had any difficulties.
We had a spectacular experience with Casas! Nicholas was a pleasure to work with and he helped us find a beautiful, luxurious and authentic Pueblo home just minutes from the plaza. We loved it so much that we extended our stay and are planning the next trip right now. Thanks to Nicholas and the entire Casas de Santa Fe team for a perfect trip. We will be back!
Like others have said the staff is dishonest about their units. They rented a unit infested with ants and mold and worst of all, the gas stove leaked gas during use. Like everything else in the unit, it was outdated and has reached the end of its life. But they dont care! They do not even comply with the law and bother to have working fire alarms or carbon detectors. So what happened is that the old stove gave out and leaked gas into the unit where my two year old was eating lunch. Then we had to stay outside for hours until the situation was taken care of. Nobody ever bothered to call us and let us know we can return. It was 20 degree out with a baby, but all they did was email me that a plumber came out. Cant even call???? No apology, nothing. Instead, management refunded me an inaccurate amount and hangs up the phone on me now when I want a detailed receipt. Then the ants came. That is when I said NO MORE. I WANT OUT! They were everywhere. In beds, the bathrooms, on the couch, kitchen... it was a pest infestation! The pictures of the unit is made to look all nice but the unit I as in was the worst I have stayed in since the $50 Motel on my way to Vegas as a student! If you want to risk your health in a moldy unit that is like something out of the tv show Horders, with mold and personal belongs from owners filling every shelf and drawer, then go ahead. But if you care about your safety and health DO NOT bother staying here. Go to Two Casitas or Adobe Star in Santa Fe. Both of these agencies have brand new units, better price too!Worst stay...worst management...COULD HAVE KILLED MY CHILD WITH GAS POISONING!!!!!! Then I also highly suspect lead paint on all the kitchen cabinets and windows.I am sure management will reply with some made up stuff, so I will add the pictures of the ants we had in the bathroom (they were everywhere though, not just one bath!) and the mold. So now they can try to write whatever, but pictures dont lie! I also still have a video of their guy coming out and confirming that the fore alarm is not working and that there is no carbon alarm. At least they could have apologized. For the ants, for the mold, for the contract misunderstanding that was their fault, and most of all, for renting units with breaking appliances that had put the safety of my child at risk! But no...NOTHING FROM THEM but an attitude about it! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!
We met, Amelia, who handles the rentals. She was caring and wonderfulboth over-the-phone and in person. Who wouldnt want to do business with someone like that? We appreciate her level of customer service, shes the real deal!MCH, former Host for Clint EastwoodPBH, former Head Pro/GM for Pebble Beach
We have been renting from them since February. Nicholas has made our numerous moves easy and has somehow managed to find us one perfect house after another!I highly recommend using their services if you are coming to Santa Fe!
I highly recommend Casas as your best bet for staying in Santa Fe. Amelia was an absolute gem to work with as well. Hassle and stress-free company. Highly recommend!
Fantastic Company! I would highly recommend their homes.
I was with a group of women for a week here, and the house is STUNNING. Twenty pieces of art in every glance, and all of it amazing. The rooms were luxurious, the kitchen HUGE, the outdoor spaces were nicely appointed, and best of all (for me) the casita living room was grand! All the different spaces allowed for time alone and the group spaces were also very accommodating. I loved the nearby restaurant where we often walked for a meal as well. Im a very, very happy guest.
This company will harass you when you move out. I rented a property from these people for four years and only had to have one thing fixed the entire time. Everything else I handled on my own because it was much faster to do myself.Come time to renew my lease when I declined they tried to schedule showings of the property while I was still living there. I have a dog so I have to take him out of the house any time there is somebody coming to see the house. I asked very politely for them to schedule the showings close together so I did not have to load the dog multiple times during the normal 8-5 work day and they would not schedule accordingly. Instead hey would schedule multiple two hour slots throughout the day in no way back to back. Then when I actually moved out they decided to tell me a chimney cleaning had to be done and that the house was not clean. I had hired a cleaning crew when I moved out so I know the house was clean. I provided the receipt and they still charged me for an additional cleaning out of my deposit. This company is not worth renting with because once you move out they do not give a darn about you.
I will ALWAYS use Casas de Santa Fe! Todd Davis is always available and very helpful in making sure our stay is the best it can be. The properties weve stayed in are beautiful, comfortable and make our Santa Fe experience amazing! Our family loves the views, shopping and dining of Santa Fe, but most of all staying in a place that makes you feel right at home during our vacation. Thank you Casas for making our trips to Santa Fe so wonderful!
Ive been leasing a vacation condo in Santa Fe via Casas de Santa Fe for a couple of months now. Ive been really impressed with Casas friendliness and attention to service. The agent I worked with (Conrad) gave me several attractive options for my Santa Fe stay, provided excellent, no-pressure advice, and was very patient during my decision-making process. Casas has been quick to respond regarding minor issues that have come up. Id highly recommend working with Casas de Santa Fe if youre planning a visit to Santa Fe.
My wife and I recently used Casas de Santa Fe for our first trip traveling with our new precious cargo, our baby boy. I wanted everything about this trip to go as smoothly as possible and for my wife to enjoy her stay as a new mommy, as we all know traveling can be stressful especially with a new baby. From the moment I called to inquire about our stay, to the day that we left there was not one hiccup. I have to credit the staff at Casas de Santa Fe for the outstanding communication throughout this process. As a family, we suffer from major allergies such as smoke to certain laundry detergents. Cases de Santa Fes staff was incredibly proactive in their attempt to make our stay as allergen free as possible. It was their idea to have the sheets, pillows, and towels washed in our special detergent. Little details like this are greatly appreciated. The staff are enjoyable over the phone and are enthusiastic about making your stay the best it can be.If you are looking for outstanding customer care then this is the place to contact!
Excellent service! Ive been renting a casita downtown for 6 months and I absolutely love my home. At my request, Casas arranged for all my windows to be replaced and now I have beautiful new windows! They have a 24 hour emergency phone number and are always helpful and responsive whenever I need assistance. They only manage quality properties and only deal with reputable maintenance people. I highly recommend Casas for service-oriented and hassle-free renting.
By fart the best traveling experience I have ever had and it is all because of Casas de Santa Fe and its wonderful staff! Todd is the best. He is an expert at his craft and made himself extremely available for me. The staff was so attentive to my request and needs. Cant wait to use them again!
Casas de Santa Fe is without question one the the finest, most proactive property management businesses that Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. Lynn, Todd, and the rest of the team are hands down the reason I refer so much business to them without hesitation...its also the reason that they manage my own property. Trust me, theyre amazing!
I totally agree with J Lyras review of Casas de Santa Fe. They advertised a rental price of $3,500 for a pet friendly house that came with a gardener. After the lease was signed, they then said that I had to pay an additional $150 in pet rent (which amounted to an additional $1,500), and the gardener was provided...... I just had to pay for him! The first of many promises never realized. To quote J Lyre, the staff is incredibly unprofessional, combative, and remarkably dishonest. If only I had read this review before I signed a lease. I rented a house in which the only closet in the master bedroom was unusable due to the stench from mold/mildew spores (this took over a month to treat and sterilize), no heat in the master bath/shower room for 3 weeks when outside temps dropped to 27 degrees, kitchen drawers and a food pantry that were unclean had rat poop with kitchen utensils and serving dishes, then rats in the pantry and master bedroom, dirty windows, smelly unclean fireplaces, an outdoor fountain that did not work, entry hall chandeliers with broken arms and exposed wires, and deadbolt locked doors with only one key for the whole house (creating a fire hazard). There were other more minor issues as well. Bottom line, I had to involve an attorney in order to have these issues resolved at their cost ..... all of which should have been uncovered and resolved by Casas Prior to my move in date.In talking with other friends in Santa Fe, after I moved here from across country, who have also had multiple negative experiences with these folks. One was moving here for the summer with her dog. When she arrived at the home she was to rent on a specific date, the OWNER was still in residence there! Another friend rented a very large, high end home for her extended family for a Thanksgiving holiday. The septic tank was full, and the complete plumbing system in the house failed. Casas plumbers would not answer the emergency call due to the holiday, and all these people were without plumbing for over 24 hours.Hopefully, you will read this prior to signing anything with Casas. They have no business in property management.
Casas de Santa Fe is the most amazing and trustworthy property management company I have ever rented through.I have never rented a place as beautiful, affordable and close to downtown as the Casas de Santa Fe casita that I am living in now.I never want to move again, unless it is into another property managed by Casas de Santa Fe!My casita was clean with new appliances when I moved in.The Casas de Santa Fe real-estate brokers are incredibly helpful, respectful and reliable; they even have a 24/7 emergency phone to resolve problems at any time, day or night.I love Casas de Santa Fe
For long term rentals this place is awful. The property manager doesnt return calls or e-mails for days at a time. When she does, she is unprofessional and unhelpful. She showed up late to the property showing and essentially just opened the door for me and let me walk through, telling me next to nothing about the property. When I communicated that I wanted to move quickly on securing housing she agreed in person, but then would not return my attempts to get a hold of her for 5 days. I spent 3 days waiting for a response regarding when I could come in and sign a lease and never heard anything back. Fortunately I was able to eventually find a better situation due to the 7 extra days I had to spend without housing. Maybe theyre better with vacation rentals or whatever, but if I was somebody with a property that needed management or a prospective resident of Santa Fe I would look anywhere else for a housing arrangement, since it seems like they are actively trying not to rent the houses they have listed.
I would give it ZERO stars if I could! The lack of integrity with Casas de Santa Fe is absolutely astonishing. AVOID renting from Casas de Santa Fe if at all possible. The staff is incredibly unprofessional, combative, and remarkably dishonest. Money seems to be the name of their game...that is, getting as much of yours as possible. They will promise you the sun and the stars for your signature and money and once the money changes hands they will bold face turn their back and renege on anything promised or agreed upon. If its not in writing, it will not be honored is actually written into their lease agreement. Keep your faith in humanity by not renting from Casas de Santa Fe if all possible...you will save yourself a lot of drama, frustration, disgust, time and legal consultations.
Very wonderful service... Every people who work there are very gently
These accommodations were beyond my wildest dreams!!! Used as a retreat setting for a group of women coming together to talk about changing the world (is it possible...even if only by changing ourselves?!), Casa Las Artes was the perfect backdrop for what we were up to. Beautiful inside & out, the property provided us with inspiration in a thousand ways. From the books on the shelves to the art on the walls, I could have easily spent an additional week (or month) there exploring the property!! I left filled up with ideas, energy, & enthusiasm for the projects I am working on. This was as much a result of the place as the people I shared it with. The highlight for me was definitely the kitchen!! A space so gorgeous, we couldnt keep it to ourselves. We hosted a dinner party one night of our stay for people we know in the local area. Dining happened indoors & out (4 lovely tables to choose from--2 indoor, 2 outdoor...one even covered to protect from the light rain that fell) and guests found it hard to tear themselves away!!The local Tesuque marketplace made leaving the area a want to instead of a have to as the food was amazing & the staff even better!!I am already dreaming up my next visit & cant wait to go back!!!
I loved this house! I spent seven nights here with four other women in a writers getaway week. With enough rooms for us to each have our own, plus ensuite bathrooms, I felt in perfect balance between having space to myself and time with the group...what most amazed me was the art! Everywhere I looked there were stunning paintings, sculptures and more, reflecting the native tradiational arts of the area.I stayed in the casita--wow, what a treat. My king bed was so comfy I never wanted get up in the mornings. Right off my bedroom was a patio area where I sipped my coffee and took in the morning sun. The huge great room with fireplace in my casita became the meeting room for our group because of the huge glass doors that swung open to the outdoors--with a view of an ancient cottonwood tree. Our meetings were graced by light breezes through the casita from outdoors, and the sounds of birds. Just perfect!Another feature I loved: There are several outdoor spaces, perfect for entertaining. One night we invited friends from town for a potluck dinner--the seating area around the outdoor fireplace was the perfect gathering area for a warm evening of camaraderie and fun.Lastly, the neighbourhood was lovely. We could walk down to the local market/restaurant (Tesuque Village Market) for boutique/healthy food supplies/wine/beer, and eat at the restaurant which was absolutely delicious (wood fired pizza, tacos, great breakfasts etc). It was always filled with locals and no wonder. Food and service were fantastic. Also in the hood: a sculpture park, several artist studios and great post dinner rural walking areas. And, all a fifteen minute drive away from downtown Santa Fe.Bonus: I found the management company super responsive -- the blender in the main house was not working on our arrival. Within mere hours a new blender was hand delivered to us!I loved this place so much, I plan to come back with my husband (and several other friends) in the future, as well as bring women here for writing retreats and creative gatherings.
If I could give this property six stars, I would. Casa Las Artes with a guest house in a private enclave is attractive, comfortable, and functional. The beds were dreamy. The kitchen was well-appointed. The interior design was stunning, featuring an attractive blend of early Spanish-American sacred Franciscan artifacts and Native American artifacts, such as delightful framed llustrations of Hopi katchina dancers in their colorful costumes. In every nook and cranny there was another visual treasure to explore. Traveling with a group, the casa was spacious enough with enough indoor and outdoors areas to also have privacy. It was clean and the neighborhood of Tesuque in which it was situated held its own pleasures, including a nearby sculpture garden and glassworks studio, and a welcoming market and cafe. Its only 10-15 minutes from downtown Santa Fe (old and new) and 20 from a truly great spa.
Great stay and convenient to downtown!
Friendly staff and clean offices.
Great!
Awesome!
