Scale & mealybugs! I made a purchase of 5 plants a little over a year ago. I had been out of orchid growing for a while and this was my first purchase getting back into the hobby, so I didnt check them over as carefully as I should have. Almost as soon as I got home I realized that at least 3 of the 5 were infested with mealybugs and scale - not just one or two, but crawling with both. So far, I have had to kill one of those plants after repeated systemic treatments failed, another one is dying and still infested despite treatments. I think I managed to eliminate the scale on the third, but it (along with the other two that didnt seem to be infested) is just not showing any vigor. The owner is friendly and has many years of orchid experience and valuable knowledge, but I will never buy orchids from this greenhouse again.

Ron is the very best! I ordered an orchid for my friends birthday on Friday and Ron said he would deliver it Saturday. Somehow, my friend was out most of the day and returned his call late in the day. He made arrangements with her to deliver it on Sunday around 10 AM. His website does state that he doesnt deliver on Sundays, but he did so anyway. At every turn of events, he informed me as to what was going on. I so appreciated his efforts and would like the world to know the orchids were outstanding as is the man. As it so happened, Sunday was her real birthday. Kudos, Ron!

Ron is the best! He was extremely helpful (online and then over the phone) in picking out the PERFECT Orchid and the PERFECT Locally Made Hand Thrown Pot for my sisters birthday and delivered it under all the COVID-19 Guidelines! She loves it :-) Thank you Ron and stay well!

Pricey! The little “yippy” dogs there weren’t nice and kept biting my ankles & growling :( not very good energy or environment for being a business. Very crowded! Over all interesting place just would make more sense to have a Cacti/succulent theme greenhouse being that it is located in very hot dry and sunny place.

New Earth Orchids is wonderful! Ron is so knowledgable and helpful. Whether you are a new or experienced orchid collector, you will find a must have orchid. The greenhouse is full of a wide variety of various orchid species. And if you are not sure what you are looking for, Ron will be happy to ask you questions and direct you to a number of orchids that will be perfect for you. The only problem is that there are so many beautiful and interesting orchids that it is difficult to walk out with just one. I usually go home with two or three.

I found New Earth Orchids when I first started collecting orchids, and Im so glad I did. I have learned so much about the care, feeding and repotting of orchids as well as all the varieties. Ron took all the nerves out of it for me and my plants are gorgeous because of it. When I moved across the country he took care of all my plants until I was ready for them. What incredible service!
