Avista agreed to come by within an hour after the death was pronounced. They didnt. Nor did they show up in an hour and a half; nor in two hours. I talked with the operator several times, but whoever was on duty that night wasnt. After two and a quarter hours, someone from Avista called and said they could be there within an hour! I cant comment on their other services, because we used a different company.

All things considered, it could not have been a better experience. James was as patient and kind as can be. My sister and I felt that he understood our wishes and followed them to the letter. Recommended.

Kind, professional staff.

All of the staff at Avista are extremely sweet. A funeral was not something I was prepared to plan however, James (the funeral director) was patient with my family and I, and was very informative. I in no way felt pressured to purchase anything unnecessary yet I was informed of every option available. The men that came to pick up my fathers body were very kind, patient, gentle and respectful. The secretary at avista was very patient and helpful to me when writing my fathers obituary and willingly helped me make changes to it as the funeral arrangements all came together. The two women that brought my father to the church and then to the cemetary were also very kind. I am very pleased with my decision to use Avista! Their prices were very reasonable in comparison to other funeral homes in Santa Fe and I highly recommend them.
