This has been the single worst experience I have ever had with a business. Not only are they unprofessional, they actually updated dates on a form with my signature without my consent (last I checked, this is illegal).To start off, the tax consultant I was working with never made the 6pm appointment I set up. It was after repeatedly calling the front desk and leaving messages/emails that he called me up 40 minutes later.After I submitted my documents, I was told I would receive a call in two business days explaining my returns. This didn’t happen for a week (I called them multiple times and I was sent to voicemail every single time).When the consultant did finally call me back, I was told all I needed to do was sign the authorization to e-file and they’d file the taxes.I messed up my form with the wrong withdrawal date for my taxes and called them up multiple times to get it fixed. I was always told that I’d get a call back and one time, the lady hung up on me mid conversation.After trying to reach out to them repeatedly they finally returned my call AFTER filing the taxes I had asked them not to file. How did they do that when the date on it was incorrect (in the past)? They changed the date on my authorization letter WITHOUT MY CONSENT.The remedy? I have to get on a call with IRS to sort it out. And the best part? IRS doesn’t let you change dates if it is within two business days of the current date.So, yeah. I’d recommend doing your own taxes rather than relying on this hack of a business.

Very unprofessional and lethargic service.I booked an appointment for Tuesday to file my tax return. I uploaded all the documents and then I was asked by 1st Person to make the payment before they start working on my return. I was little hesitant as I wanted to know the refund amount before making the payment so that I could compare with TurboTax or SprintTax but still I went ahead and made the payment of $225(lot more than what others are charging). After making the payment she said she will get started on my case. I did not hear back. I tried to follow up next day and front desk lady said she will ask her to call me but then she didnt. I finally got a call from 2nd Person that I need to upload another document which I did send within 30 min of the call and then I called 5 times to check the status of my application but no update yet.I feel they are collecting money from all the clients and taking their sweet time to process the return as opposed to the 2 hours time they ideally promise to take.

Have been doing taxes with Shashank of Diwakar Taxes since 2018 and the experience has been thus far exemplary. Came in to re-file taxes as a student on F1 OPT Extension, sorted out the issue at the first appointment. Last year, I filed on changing to H1B Single. And this year joint. Their knowledge of all the rules of each visa status is commendable, and assists you in every step of filing the taxes with no hassle. Perfect 5 stars for the team!

I was informed that my CA tax returns were e-filed. Two weeks later, when I didnt get the refund, I checked with the CA FTB. I was told that there was no record of my 2019 tax return. Very disappointed in the service

Receptionist was curt and informed me that they had no appointments for the remaining 6 weeks of the tax season after checking that I wasnt a regular customer. H&R Block nearby was awesome and finished my paperwork in a day. Ive had better service at DMVs. Wont visit again.

Exceptional experience. I a world where everyone tries to do the bare minimum to earn your money, Diwakar taxes takes you through the whole process and are available to help out in case IRS screws up as well. I would rather pay someone qualified to file taxes then guess my way through it. The prices are more than competitive and the service is awesome.

Diwakar and Amit are very approachable and have been helping since last 2 years on tax filing. Not in rush, they usually take enough time for each case so that all aspects for filing are covered for best possible return.Recommend this place for all .(There are a few other places for tax filing in Sunnyvale/Santa clara area but It was found that their focus is always been on getting max fees than customer satisfaction!)

Very very worst service. Ill not go back to them even if they offer service at free of cost. I sent out more than 30 emails and called them more than 10 times, they never responded properly. Since they took money initially I have to follow up with them all the times and they never responded properly. As they charged me initially, I could not cancel or go for any alternative options. Generally Ive no interest to give review but their worst service forced me to give review.

I ask them to work on my taxes now and that’s when Pooja comes on the call and tells me that I should work with someone else now as they have a lot of other work as well. So now after working with them for almost a month I have to find someone else to work with. Such a waste of time and my recommendation is to stay away from this company.

Ive been consulting with Diwakar Taxes since 2013. What an amazing and knowledgable team of CPAs. I had multiple instances when I called them late in the night to discuss tax implications and they were happy to answer, that too without any appointment.They are expert in not only US taxation but also international taxation as well. Diwakar Taxes takes care of multiple W2s, ESPP, RSUs, foreign income filing, including FBAR. I love their followup and reminders for appointments and post-filing service.I would highly recommend Amit and his team for your tax filings.

They wrongly calculated the tax and are not willing to amend the tax filing for free. Arrogant attitude and bad service. Due to their mistakes I would not be able to claim back $2000. Just realize that they wrongly calculated my tax last year as well. So in total I would not be able to claim back over $8000 over the two years. Would not trust them again

Very Bad experience early 2019 tax filing season, when I have asked for review of my file with another consultant, they denied. I was there existing customer for 2 years but need to go out at last hour and find another CPA. Will never recommend them.

I ask to speak to a manager who is then Amit. He tells me that he understands that she should not have said that. After that he agrees that this is not acceptable customer service but does not offer anything to make up for it. When I ask he said that I should find someone else.So now after working with them for almost a month I have to find someone else to work with.Such a waste of time and my recommendation is to stay away.

I came to know about Diwakar Taxes last year through a friend referral. So, this year I tried it myself.Overall, I had a very positive experience. I scheduled an appointment on a weekday since weekends are generally busy during this time of year. When I reached there, I was given a 1 page form to get my basic details (i.e marital status, SSN/TIN for wife etc). Once I filled the form, they started the filing process. They asked me my detailed history like my length of stay in US during past 3 years, whether I moved from some other state, my moving expenses, how much of those expenses were reimbursed etc. Based on this information and as per the details mentioned on my W4 and last years return they filled my tax form.Since I am married and my wife is on dependent visa, they also filed ITIN w/o me even mentioning about it. Also, they were patient enough to answer all of my queries.In the nutshell, they took complete responsibility of the returns and handed over me the Federal and State tax file. All we did was just to sign at couple of places in the tax form.Definitely recommended!
