In 2014 I lived here along with some football teammates from foothill college.we were packed in those rooms but looking back it was cool. I miss the west coast! I meet with friends this great restaurant quite often! This is my favorite restaurant to pass a nice evening. I go there routinely. The meals are of high quality, the staff members are professional and the prices are good. I like meeting in this restaurant over a good meal.

Old and rundown. Door didnt lock properly. Who uses metal keys any more? Paint peeling or showing water damage. No fitted sheets on mattress or box springs, with cover sheet short exposing bare mattress. Shower temperature constantly went from freezing cold to scalding hot. Fixtures broken. No hair dryer. Funny smell. Noisy hallway. Parking lot very tight, had to jockey back and forth many times to get out of parking space.

This place has been around forever! If youre looking for the newest and shiniest this is not the place for you. If you want a funky slice of Americana then stay here. Vintagey feel with an attached restaurant. We had the breakfast buffet and enjoyed it, especially the bacon. Pool was cute and clean, staff was helpful and efficient. Lots of character.

The food is from a bygone area when life in America was simpler. The restaurant has not kept up with the higher expectations of what is considered today fine dining or authentic Italian food. If you are looking for great Italian cuisine you will be disappointed.

Thought Id clear some things up to explain the mixed reviews. The standard rooms are the old rooms that all the reviewers are complaining about. The deluxe rooms are the renovated ones and are pretty nice. Googles description is wrong though since the breakfast buffet (pretty good by the way) isnt included, and is actually $10 per person.Parking can be pretty tight since the spaces are really small. If you arent a heavy sleeper, bring earplugs because people starting their trucks and stuff right outside your window in the morning can be loud. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and a pretty good deal for the area.

The prime rib on Wednesday is on point. Come early though. Definitely an older crowd. Like, A LOT older crowd...but delicious steaks nonetheless. The service is 5 star. The waiters take really good care of you.

Strategic location, nearness Indian supermarkets, Indian food joints and a very descent place to stay. You get sumptuous spread of complimentary breakfast everyday. I had wonderful time staying here.

Really good food, and even though the line looks very long it goes by really quick. Also they have very good service and they are quick to ask if you need a refill or need your plate taken.

For business trips is a good place to just crush at night. the price is reasonable. customer is good.The rooms need deep cleaning and replacement of the carpets. I had to change my room because the first was really smelly that easily can cause a headache.

Very pleasant stay. We lived there for about a month, and can truly say this place was just amazing. From daily hot breakfast to friendly staff - it was a smooth sailing. Would highly recommend for anyone coming for work or for a short trip.The hotel provided daily cleaning service, and the staff was very helpful. Home away from home.

For the smokers I say just get a regular room and smoke outside. Way mire worth it doing it that way or else you will feel like you traveled back to 1999. Great breakfast.

One star for the cleaning crew, one for being CHEAP... We stayed here for a few weeks before problems became evident... yes the carpets are stained more than colored the rooms are kept clean, but I had roaches in my bathroom, in the early mornings, in two separate rooms.The management refused to comp. any of my time! After spending well over 4000 on multiple rooms for almost a month, I see my time and money were Not well spent. If I get roaches at my home, I will seek the appropriate compensation. PS MANGEMENT? I TOOK A VIDEO, SINCE YOU FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF NESTING ROACHES

Asked for recently renovated room upon reservation, did not get one. Carpeting is old and musty, decor 30 years dated. Bathroom cracked floors. Overall cleanliness was okay for beds and furniture. The AC worked great! The stairs had overgrown ivy that partially blocked passage. We only ate at included breakfast brunch. They kept the food fresh and plentiful and were friendly.

So disappointed. I came to San Jose for my job. Worked all day and dinner with fellow managers in the evening. At 9:10 p.m. checked into the hotel and at 9:20 checked out. They will not credit my companys account. Carpet was dirty. (Room 145). Did not feel safe at all. Gentleman and front desk was very nice; however, had only been there for 2 months and did not know how to handle the situation. Provide training for your employees how to handle customer service situations, clean your rooms and put true pictures on the website. (The one is only because Brandon at the front desk was polite.)Linda, I understand that you are remodeling. What about the carpet? If my company is paying for a clean room...shouldnt the carpet be clean? Please, contact me via email regarding this matter.

Its ALWAYS A GREAT, WARM WELCOMING PLACE. ITS VERY PEACEFUL. I ENJOY MY TIME THERE. I NEVER HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE ROOM AND STAFF. AND SMOKING ROOMS A MAJOR +++ (PLUS) !!

This place is definitely showing its age. We paid $120 for one night. The carpet had more stains on it then color the faucet in the sink leak so bad that we used all the towels to keep the water from going all over. The beds were so old that you sink in them. Upon leaving we found out that they were in the process of renovating one room at a time. Not sure if this is a 10-year project or 10 month project or 10 week project. I definitely recommend you dont stay in one of the non remodeled rooms at $120. Good luck if you stay hopefully you get a remodels room.

The golden days of this establishment are from my point of view long gone. The parking lot is typically filled with contractors pickup trucks. The room I had looked like it had been preserved from the 50s, with a tube TV from the 90s, which was missing a remote. Had to search for an outlet to charge stuff. The AC was terribly loud, the bathroom featured a super small toilet that was crammed into the corner next to a wonderfully old sink and extraordinary tasteless tiling. Luckily the bed didnt collapse although it sounded like it did... Ah, and better dont leave anything of value in the room as the locks look like they are purely cosmetic as well.And though it said that breakfast was included the service at the reception told me that this would not be true, and they just didnt have time yet to update their info.Apropos breakfast. Tried it once (they usually charge 11bucks extra), didnt try it a second time. Wonder how this still exists.

The Sunday brunch was good but they didnt have several items they have had on other visits. The service was not good. That said, we still enjoyed our brunch and will definitely go again.

Marianis always puts on a good spread. Nice place to hold buffet luncheons for a crowd. Very accommodating with good food and friendly service.

Mariano’s is old fashioned, from another age. But a fun place with pretty good food. Close attention by the staff. The attitude seems to be ‘we’ve been here a long time, we’re staying, so enjoy it’.

I booked a room for 6 nights, 2 weeks ahead, and due to problems unforeseen to me I had to cancel my trip. I asked for a refund within 24 hours of my confirmation. I was told no refund would be given. I was very surprised. This establishment had high ratings, but will not refund for emergencies. I will not deal with them again and now I see they will enjoy my money and whomever books this room in the future. How sad for the out of state travelers. Really people,not good.

I have frequent this place on many times I bring my women here and stay for long periods of time they like it.

One of the older established restaurants and inns within the Silicon Valley. The recent event for me was a reunion with former AT&T colleagues. The facility is very well kept and clean. The staff are all friendly, courteous and willing to help.

Very nice selection of steaks, including the 48oz tomahawk! I had a 20oz rib eye that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The restaurant gets very busy, especially at weekends, but the service is good and the orders come out quickly enough. Great wine list here too.

The food was mediocre. The pork chops were dry, the tomato sauce was bland, and we didnt get any scallops in our prawn and scallops fettuccine. However, the service was FANTASTIC, and our server did everything he could to make it right.

I have to say unfortunately that this place was gross, I did not feel safe. When I made the reservation I requested a king size bed was given a full size that was so hard and uncomfortable. I felt so sorry for my husband he is 6’6” and his feet were hanging off the side. Our backs hurt so bad in the morning, we had to put pillows under are backs just to get some sleep. Don’t go there. You will regret it. The front desk people were nice.

I must say in advance, I have a long standing relationship with this place, having brought my Prom date here nearly 60 years ago.I did so because I thought it was cool. ( I was so clueless as a kid! )We had a good meal in any event.My Wife Amy and I like to drop in for the Sunday brunch, a marvellous repast for sure.

This place was terrible! The carpet had more stains then color. The bed was so old it sagged. The bathroom faceit leaked so bad that had put towels down. The bathroom floor was not level, so bad that you could see the slope. There was no blanket, had to call the front desk. They brought me on 20 min later. The shower had a bench at one time but was missing now. You could see all the holes for the screws. The worst part about this is I was charged 120 dollars for the night.I did find out later that they are updating the rooms, one by one. If you dont need to stay here I would not stay here until they are complete. I would hate for you to get one of these unfinished rooms.Here is something funny. They have room service. They charge you 22% of your bill for the service.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We picked the Inn because we wanted a low budget option for one night. We saw the poor reviews online and were nervous, but our room had been recently renovated with wood vinyl floors and newer fixtures. It is an old inn, but for the price point in that area, I felt like wer got a great deal. We needed a clean room, comfortable bed, and free wifi. All of this was met, and the staff was excellent.

Ok location and great staff but the room smelled like an ash tray. Everything was clean and overall good but the smell, I couldnt get over. Old everything in the room and the carpet was sticky... Not sure why. For the price I paid, awesome, but definitely not close to beyond a 3 star hotel.

A 1950s style independently owned & operated drive in motel with parking. Currently undergoing slow remodel and updating of facilities. There is a restaurant & bar on site with several meeting/banquet rooms. I personally havent stayed there but I believe the room rates are well below average for Santa Clara based on room conditions. Online photos can fool you so be careful because of no refund policy.

I have had their Sunday brunch a few times. Each time had been better than the last. Staff is very nice and helpful. Food is great!

It is too much drama & gossip causes dislike good customers to return 👎👎!!The foods is not great anymore like past years. I experienced better.The management are unfriendly & unequal to customers. They like to keep fired expert friendly bartender. One of the long time bartender keep, Cindy, who is moody, unpleasant, rude, not treat all customers equally fair. If they dont have the customers service skills & unhappy, find another job or learn to sharpen the skills. Karaoke is not good soundtrack to know make from not know how sing good to sound good. Many complain too loud & noisy.

Was a great place to frequent but since I was charged more than my nights stay for something untrue that a maid who was mad cause I wanted my sheets changed daily. She lies said I spilled water on the bed HELL NO I DID NOT..SO over the phone the manager said she believes her maid of 30tears ...over me...well thats weird since the maid is in her early 20s

Went for a work Christmas party. The food was good, the bar down the hall had a band paint. We had a GREAT time dancing after our event. Unfortunately they were unprepared for sick a crowd and only had 1 bartender working both for the bar and restaraunt. We loved dancing, but were unable to drink

We came here for my aunts birthday celebration. They were very accommodating and very efficient. We had around 120 guests in our event. There was dancing and singing too.

Worst worst worst place. CHEATERS, LIERS FRAUDS!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! Would have given zero stars if possible Do not book here. They are cheaters. They said there is a free breakfast and airport shuttle but did not give both. They suck. Why say they will give. When they can not do it. You should give what you have advertised.

I truly hoped for this place to be as nice as their pictures online, but they must only have a few nice rooms that they photograph and the rest are probably pretty sad, just like the one I was given. First of all, my room had been strongly perfumed when I checked In. Then I found out that there was a dirty towel thrown into a drawer in a bathroom and there were some long hairs in another drawer. So I guess cleaning staff doesnt really check them. Also the faucet requires so much strength to open, I had to hold on to a wall while pulling the tab to get the water going. And the cherry on top of this all was a 3am call while I was deep asleep, accusing me of walking with my shoes on, waking other guests up. The conversation went something like this, hi this is front desk. I am standing right under your room and I dont know if you are packing or what, but please take your shoes off so you dont make others up. My response was, you just woke me up... you mixed up the rooms. You think I got an apology? Nope. Goven all that. I wouldnt stay here ever again !

The place is old, but well maintained and clean. Very clean. First time in years i had a hotel room without stained carpets and be this clean. If you dont mind old school keys, CRT boxee TVs, hearing your neighbors this place will work for you. The breakfast was a hot buffet which was good and had great coffee. The restaurant for dinner was nicer/fancier than I expected and had an interesting assortment on the menu.

The pictures on their website show rooms that are updated and nice albeit small. Thats ok, we werent planning on staying in the room long, just to sleep. When we arrived and looked around we immediately saw a small cockroach in the bathroom. Also in the bathroom were dirt and hair in the corners by the bathtub. When we arrived back to our room to sleep be discovered that there was only a flatsheet between us and the mattress. I found this very unhygienic. A second cockroach was found (and squished) in the morning. When we were checking out I told the front desk staff and they were great telling us that the manager would call us. After three days of no call I phoned and was told that the manager would be in between 6 and 8 and that she would call us. Again, no call. This same scenario happened two more times. The fourth time that I called I did talk with the manager. She made excuses why she couldnt call me back, that she didnt have my phone number. When I reminded her that I had been a guest at the hotel and my information is in the computer she relented that that was not a reason why she could not have called me. When I explain to her my dissatisfaction with the room she told me that all she could do was give me a $50 credit back to my card. I didnt think that this was a sufficient to handle the situation. Bottom line, Im disappointed in the rooms, their cleanliness and how the manager handled the situation. She was absolutely unresponsive and only talk to me when I happened to find her at the front desk answering the phone. I would not stay here again.

We do several banquets here every year. The catering staff are helpful, kind, easy to work with. The food is delicious and portions are generous. Its a part of Santa Clara history and serves its community well.

*****BEWARE*****: Our visit started out bad when we got to our room that was for three people and had one queen bed (we knew this) but absolutely NO other place to sleep besides on the floor on the industrial grade carpet on concrete. When we called the front desk to ask about a roll away they said that it was $20.00 more a night (which was not mentioned when the reservation was made) AND that you could not even put a roll away in the room because it was a fire hazard. In other words the room that we booked for THREE people could only sleep TWO. They said we could move to a room with two queens -- for an extra $25.00 a night. I was not willing to pay that much more, if I had known the true cost I would have looked elsewhere in the first place, and probably found a name brand hotel for an equal price!!The hotel denied all accountability because they said I went though a third party. I swear I went through their website, but really that is irrelevant, here is why: I went and made a dummy reservation for a future date, GOING THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. Again, I was allowed to make a reservation for three in a room with only one queen. I showed this to them to prove that THEY had an issue. Apparently they do not have their records set up to show that a room with one queen is for no more than two people!!!In addition in doing this I also learned that if I had chosen to upgrade when I made that reservation it would have only cost approximately $7.50 more a night for the two queen room! When I asked why they could not give me that rate, they would not budge, insisting that they could only offer it to me at the $25.00 rate. *I* was willing to compromise on the $7.50 additional rate (which I honestly did not feel I should even have to do), but THEY were not willing to compromise at all!During this whole incident I was treated as if *I* should have known that I could not sleep three in a room with one queen. I informed then that *I* was not the one in the hotel industry, and it was NOT my job to know everything. I also pointed out that I have been to plenty of other hotels where I requested one bed for three people but the hotel had a sofa available, or a roll away. Never before have I been allowed to make a reservation at any other hotel where there were not sleeping accommodations for the number of people on the reservation.Even after my proving that they had an issue with their reservation system, I got no apology, no sympathy, and no correction to the matter.At no time was I allowed to speak to a manager. The front desk person went in the back one time I believe calling a manager, another time I believe speaking to a manager in person. I believe that a customer should ALWAYS be allowed to speak TO a manager, not be forced to play the telephone-game through a clerk.In addition to this very big problem there were uncountable other issues with our visit.Wish I could give zero stars, but that is not allowed to publish!!!

Its amazing for the price, of course it looks pretty dated, but my room was clean, everything works and the staff are so friendly and helpful that it made my stay a pleasant one. When you want convince and economy is a factor, I would choose this place again. Theres plenty around to eat and its close to the train and airport.

Marianis was a restaurant many of us in the 1970s and 80s went to for special occasions. I was a young engineer at Intel, not too far away.I remember taking my parents there in 1979. A classy place.Havent been there for years (I moved to the Santa Cruz area a long time ago), but I hope to go back.Classic Italian fare. Worth visiting, I suspect, just to see what a classic Italian restaurant is like. (Not the nouvelle cuisine or pizza-based style, but the classic style.)By the way, we engineers more often went to a nearby place called De Ciccios, which was more suited for lunch. They once had several locations. Gone now, I think,.

Advertised as hotel with shuttle-NO shuttle-so had to pay $30 for shuttle/lyft to get to the hotel. Very dirty lobby, no breakfast offered as was advertised. Very misleading advertising. Felt like a 50s motel that is barely surviving! Would not return. Paid the price of a hilton, got the value of less than a motel 6! Do not recommend this place.

Dropped in for a quick visit with friends that had a room on the first floor. There was a single King size bed, a bathroom and a small walk-in closet.

Regular food and drinks. They have awesome live music (Funky Souls) about once a month on Saturdays. Really fun.

I was here for a reception after a funeral. The staff was attentive and the room was fairly private. The buffet was fabulous.

Clean, location is great, the pool is amazing. Unfortunately we were unable to use the pool on Sat and Sun due to events.

The checkin process with Mosis was nice he was approachable and very easy going.The next day who ruined our experience was the front desk agent Naomi who was very unfriendly and rude. She looked and acted like she was forced to be there and just had the worst attitude. I called to ask for a late checkout simply instead of telling me they dont offer complementary checkout, she told me its $40 for an extra hour and why would we offer complimentary checkout with very obnoxious attitude which we thought was very rude being it is a hotel. The room could use a better cleaning. The lamp had cobwebs all over it and the heating filter could use a change just like Naomis attitude.

I went in December to this beautiful resort and I fell in love with it. The beach is incredibly beautiful, the food is not bad and the garden is full of flowers and birds. I met Ramon,the gardener, who is over 60 years old and still working hard to keep the garden alive with colors

Spend a little more money for some other place dont stay here. 1st room was horrible 1st floor Windows didnt lock wood stick was my window lock. Thought person upstairs would fall through my ceiling. room had a weird smell to it. room needed to be painted. Bed didnt move when we laid down on it. I was expecting bugs at night.Breakfast was horrible hardly any food weird eggs hard potatoes and burnt bacon. Cereal comes from the closet. First night I wanted to leave was told my $ was not refundable. Moved to a second room pinch better but still sucked for 6 more nights...floor felt weak. Kids outside my door smoking their weed every damn night when they would light up the a.c. unit pulled that nasty smell into my room now I realize why the paramedics and cops kept asking me if I did drugs. Maybe cause my room smelled like pot and probably my clothes. I left my room spray for the next person who stays there...only thing good about this place is customer service at front desk. Dont trust their pictures they have posted.

Love this place until the maid got mad cause i wanted clean linen everyday ..when i went and requested from. Front desk a change of linen...the maid retaliated and said i spilled water on bed..i was charged 150.00 to my credit card..i called and was told by manager anna that she trusts her employee of 20+years over me..so upset this drama wasnt corrected by upper management.

Old Santa Clara is alive and well in this place. Comfort food! Prime rib! Spumoni!!!! Very happy with the stay here.

Central location, with a clean, modern, retro feel to it. As someone who grew up in the seventies I appreciated that.

We took a kitchenett. all the basic things were given but not at all worth the cost. there was no gym/fitness area. there was only swimming pool. good house keeping services. overall not that good experience.

This is a great place to host a social event. I was there on 7/8/17 for a Quinceañera. This is a great venue with outstanding service.

Carpeting had lots of stains and felt like it needed a good shampooing & disinfecting. Beds were uncomfortable and saggy. We werent aware that the bathroom sink was leaking till the wee hours in the morning, floor was partially flooded by the sink & toilet. I wouldnt recommend this inn or stay again.

Stayed at the hotel 3 nights. Room was ok, bed was like sleeping on a rock though. The free breakfast was the best part of the stay.

The food was not the greatest it did not taste good. It was not worth 45 dollars per person. One of the plates that I grabbed was not clean it had stuck on food on it.

I go to Marianis on the weekend for the entertainment specially when the Funky Souls dance band plays. The Sundays brunch is a great value and the food selections are really good. The restaurant and lounge bar staff is very friendly and courtebar.

“Sumptuous Dinner”Being first timers, we loved the cost restaurant.. the owner greeted us and helped each one choose our sauces for the freshly sauted noddles.. the buffet spread also included soup, fried rice, chicken krispies, vegetables roll and corn fry.. seems to be an old and popular place.

Filthy hotel....nothing like the photos. Checked put immediately after walking in the room and they refuse to give a refund but I went somewhere else it was so bad! Talked to the Manager and she said tough luck and was no help.
