Ive used Ians tires for many things, but last week, I needed a new tire and rim for my sons car, before he drove across the desert. We ordered it for pick up Saturday, but didnt make it there before they closed. It was a holiday weekend and my son was leaving Monday to drive back. Eric was leaving the parking lot when we were standing at the door. He went back into the shop, turned on the equipment, mounted the tire, gave it to us and said I could come in Tuesday and pay for it. What service!! And a fair price, too.

Updated 6/22/2021: I had a water pump go out in my car the day after I went in for an oil change (It is not their fault, just happens to be a coincidence) They got me in when I cam back from a vacation and let me know how long It could be for them to look at it. After they looked at the problem they said they do not fix water pumps, but referred me to a mechanic that does. To me, I felt they hear my concern and incorporated it to communicate with their customer, and I had a great experience this time around!Came here for a 2:00pm reservation for oil change and Tire Rotation, with their website saying Award for Best Quick Oil Change in 2020, and I estimated it would take an hour to hour and half max for the oil change if they were busy, but it ended up taking 2 hours and 15 minutes of me sitting there. I was not told or notified it could take this long and their website did not say it would take this long. After Talking with the owner, he said they plan for oil changes to take a maximum of 2 and a half hours. If I knew this, I would have arranged a ride ( but I feel also unnecessary if you make a reservation). I am a bit irritated that this was not communicated either by them or their website when I made the reservation or during the entire time I was there.The owner was understanding and listened, and I got the oil change and tire rotation done, and it looked like it was done well.

The young man who helped me was sharp, efficient, and thorough. He spotted a small nail in my tire that I hadnt seen and took care of it with great efficiency. This is a very reliable company for excellent service. Eric, the manager or owner, is very nice and attentive to my questions. I highly recommend them, Ive been going there for 20 years.

We needed air for one of our tires, the tire shop a couple doors down said they were too busy. Ians your shop serviced our car, they put air in our tires and checked them all, with a smile and free of cost

I will never go back. Terrible customer service. A man who identified himself as the owner discussed his golf game with another customer for 20 minutes rather than tell me my car was finished. He clearly stated your car was finished but I was talking to my buddy... By this time my vehicle was parked in by other cars and it took me an additional 10 minutes to get them moved so I could get my car out. My time has value, I wont waste it at Ians Tire.

I took my car into Ians for the first time and I had a great experience. Although they werent equipped to fix my particular issue, they diagnosed it for free and recommended me to a mechanic who could help. Both staff members I interacted with were polite, helpful, and honest even though they didnt make a dime by helping me out. I would definitely return.

Ians is a pretty regular winner for the Independents Best Tire Shop award -- and for good reason. Excellent prices, accessible hours, friendly and helpful staff. Plus, they recently fixed my tire for me for no charge even though I did not buy the tires there! Highly recommended.

Great service

This place is a local gem - I had options with bigger chains like American Tire and Costco. Ians prices were competitive and their service impeccable. The experience end-to-end was impeccable. As long as Im in Santa Barbara - they will be my go-to tire shop.

Someone I really trust when it comes to cars recommended going to Ians to replace my tires. He was on point. I called them in the morning, set an appointment 2pm, and I drove back home with new tires by 4pm. They told me about a current rebate deal with Continental tires, so I saved $70 right there. And they even applied the Axxess card deal so I saved another $20. Overall, awesome service, just like my friend had told me.

If you want deep knowledge and the personal service that the original owner operator shops give, then this is the place. Hes competitive and in it for the long haul with his customers.

I come here all the time for tires, alignment, etc. They are fairly priced and try to give as many deals as possible on tires and services. Theyre the type of business who will give you the coupon price without even asking much less having the actual coupon. Always get me in and out quick with superb customer service. Could not recommend stronger; these guys are awesome 😊

I always use Ians Tire and Auto repair whenever I have an issue with my tires. They have helped me with my Pathfinder, my daughters car and my husbands Jaguar. Their people are always very professional, kind and courteous. The work is done correctly and on time. I highly recommend this group for your tire repair/replacement needs.

They do a great job with tires and related stuff. Good prices, great service, local place. I bought four tires here at a price competitive with Costco, and also had a tire pressure sensor diagnosed and fixed at half the cost the dealership wanted to charge.

My go to place for tires. Found Ians Quite a ways back and been go there for years now. The level of service is far Above other similar shops. Worked in the auto industry for most of my life. Place i trust to work on my car, even my street/race Celica. All guys are Friendly and make you feel welcome. Cant recommend them enough. Have to check them out if need your car Serviced

If you are looking to compare this store with American or Big Brand unfortunately they do not carry any tires below $100 at this store. They have a huge student demographic and having sold multiple vehicles to students myself all these UCSB Corollas are going to need tires and their drivers will not have $400 before installation and fees for them. I did appreciate the cordiality over the phone. This is a more a tip for others than a review.

This is the best tire and brakes place in town. Their prices are very fair and staff is accommodating.

Ians Tires is a benefit to the business community and the public at large. It is so special, it should serve as a model for how to run a local successful auto-related business. These guys have been doing this for quite a long time, yet their friendly and honest help, plus the attention to detail that they deliver seems like they just recently opened. Go there and nowhere else for tires. People unaccustomed to dealing with mechanical issues will not be talked down to or feel dumb. Ian, Eric and the rest of the staff genuinely care about you and your car first! Youll always drive away feeling good!

I went to get my tire changed it being worn out. I asked for 235 45 17 inch. Employee said they have a new tire for 130$. He said the reason it was so high was because it was a performance tire. I didnt go through with the deal. went to another company only charged me 60$$ for a new tire. Will not do service with this company. Strongly recommend others to compare prices in other companys near by.Thank you

Well we took our car in to IANS that Lexus said needed brakes and Ians said you have another 10k to go. No Charge. SO! we took in our old pick-em-up truck for maintenance and of course we are saving a ton there too. They dont just do tires. How often can you find quality and value locally? Well, heres one place!

Great service, completed as stated and on time...what really did it for me was when I took my 2003 suburban so they could check it out before we went on a road trip...picked it up and no charge...they told me what would need to be fixed in the coming months but that I was good to go...had a great road trip...I always say you get what you pay for sooner or later....oh and they are home grown local SB business

Great Service at No Charge!!!My TPS showed a low tire. I called several places but they didnt have nitrogen, So I called Ians who offered the nitro and they waited for me after closing time...not only did he top off all my tires found the problem tire and didnt charge me a dime!
