I am a seasoned agent. I have been licensed since 2004. In the early years I didnt really take the job the seriously. I learned through osmosis. I never had any formal training. My coach was absolutely fantastic and the program will work if you implement it. I was recently asked by a colleague if I recommend the program and I told him, yes BUT...just know and accept you are in a strict contract.I was on fire my first 4-5 months doing everything my coach told me and building my pipeline. By the end of the fifth month I let my coach know my health was not doing well and I couldn’t get myself to implement the program because it felt like my Brian was shutting off. For the second part of the year I couldn’t implement anything I was learning because I could not work. Unfortunately according to customer service I could not suspend my account until I felt better so I kept pushing to break though like I was advised to do. Eventually I began to lose my vision and found out I didn’t have an organization/work motivation problem, I have Multiple Sclerosis and brain damage.I would never blame Tom Ferry Organization for this, as my health is not their issue. My warning is, you are in contract and you may end up paying for 6 months of a program you physically can’t do. By the end I literally lost my vision enough that I wasn’t allowed to drive. At this point I quit early because I could not see. I have no hard feelings, but knowing I could relapse once recovered I would never join again.That being said, if you are healthy and motivated you will be successful. Just be sure you are physically and mentally up for it! The contract suspends for no one (at least that was my understanding from the customer service rep).

Be honest it took me a while to on boarding with the coaching program. You have to overcome your scary and trust the process (which I don’t understand what is this process about before.....but you will get there). I love my coach Lori Adams, she is very calm and a good listener which is a very nice fit with my personality.

What I expected from Coaching vs what I actually receive is so much more valuable then I could even imagine. I have been in real estate since 1994 and this year decided to jump start things to try to take my business a notch higher and had heard so many good things about the Tom Ferry organization. I hear him talk all the time about coaching and how important it is for new agents, but since I’m a brand new Agent in my area I’m not a good candidate for coaching!? I need to have a months worth of experience?? I’m the type of person who doesn’t want to have to fix bad habits before I even form them. The worst company I have ever worked with. There team kept contacting me to sign up for coaching. I insisted that I was not interested because they could not guarantee me that they would assign a coach that was selling way more houses than I was. A guy named Mo finally guaranteed me that he would set me up with someone personally selling at least double my production. They set me up with my first coach. One of my first questions was how many houses did you sell last year. He said 10-12. I then let him know I would not be interested in him as a coach. They then set me up with another coach. One of the first questions I asked was how many houses did he sell last year. He proceeded to tell me he only sold 8 houses. I respectfully let him know that I was not interested. They had another rep call me and belittle me for 20 minutes stating that it doesnt matter how many houses a coach sold last year and some people are better as coaches. I let them know that was not what we argreed. He went on and on and told me its better to have a coach selling less houses. He really put a bad taste in my mouth. They will not cancel the contract even though they did not produce a coach selling twice that I am. Shame on your company Tom Ferry.

In August 2014 I attended Tom Ferrys Summit in Anaheim. At that time I believed I was just going to just another teaching seminar. I got my real estate license 3 years ago out of necessity. I was a single mom trying to survive on a teachers salary and my childrens needs/wants were quickly outgrowing my income. I have always had a passion for real estate, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to help people, so I decided real estate would be a great income supplement. My first year in real estate was mediocre, but the few commission checks I received definitely made things much easier financially as a single mom. In my second year, 2016, I was able to close 25 deals (about 6 million in volume) while still teaching full-time. A little over a year ago, at the end of 2016, as I entered my third year in real estate, I joined coaching and my coach helped me to develop a business plan that gave me the confidence I needed to leave teaching and go all-in on real estate. This past year, with the help and guidance of my coach, I changed brokerages twice (super stressful when youre a producing agent) and started a team near the end of the year. I now have a full-time Operations Director, two full-time Buyer Specialists, and a part-time Buyer Specialists who will join us full-time this summer. I credit Tom, my coaches and the support of this amazing ecosystem for my success. I ended up closing 40 transactions (just under 10 million in volume), in spite of the stress involved with changing brokerages, building a team, and continuing to produce. I also experienced a tragedy in my personal life that made 2017 the worst year of my entire life. I would have never been able to make it through all of that successfully and accomplish what I was able to accomplish without this ecosystem. My team and I will close over 100 transactions in 2018, our first full year as a team, then my goal is to join Team+ coaching.
