Great gym with a wonderful atmosphere and a variety of machines to use. Its affordable in comparison to similar gyms and its the first place I feel comfortable being in the lifting section. Have I tried it yet? No. Lol but I dont feel intimidated for when Im ready to try it out. I highly recommend it.

This is a great planet fitness location. As compared to the District it is MUCH more accessible in terms of parking and getting into the gym. Machines are socially distanced, and they have classes if you are just starting out. My husband and I have the black card so we use the Total Body Enhancement machine (which they have) and generally its availible. One morning one of the staff was out and we couldnt use it because the staff on site didnt know how to start the machine which was a bummer. Also even tho this location has a stretching area there isnt a lot of room for pilates/mat work kind of exercise, but they do have the stretching equipment so there is that. Overall a solid gym, but with those two detractors not a 5.

Love this place. They opened not to long ago and staff makes you feel like family. They really do help you accomplish your goals and keep you motivated.

I usually visit the tustin location but decided to try this location since the crowd meter seemed lower and I didnt want the hassle of going to the district with all the people.Big mistake. The crowd meter was a lie. Almost every single machine had a person on it. The outdoors area seemed a bit run down but I guess thats the area. Overall just way too crowded and felt very cramped. Ill be returning to the tustin location from now on.

I open an account a year before covid. They closed down due to covid. THEY WENT BEHIND MY BACK CHARGING NOW THEY TELL ME THEY CANT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT OR REFUND ME BACK MY MONEY. WHEN I NEVER AUTHORIZED ANYTHING.

I want to cancel my membership. Since Chuze Fitness was open, I have been working out at their gym.

Im torn. I would give it a 3.5. I liked that there was limit capacity, but there could have been way more disinfection stations. By the trendmills I had to look around for one, it wasnt obvious. I tried to be economical with my time so people in line could come in, but it was a little hard to orientate myself. Also a few of the treadmills that were open for use werent working or were wobbly. Please check into.

Planet Fitness did not properly communicate when they were closing / opening during the pandemic and still charged me. Called to cancel and they said I would have to send a certified letter or come inside. No respect for COVID.

Very clean nice people at the front desk... And theyre at 24 hours again Monday through Friday.

My Favorite gym

This gym has really declined in quality. The maintenance is really bad, the equipment is worn and hasn’t been replaced in months. I spoke to the manager 3 months ago about this issue and it has not been solved to this day. Completely disappointed since I have been a member for 2 years, and have seen how badly this gym is now being managed. This 2-star rating is a generous rating.

I’m giving this 2 stars purely off of the fact that one of the other reviewers is right. The parking lot at night, I went at 10pm, was super sketch. I got there for the first time and saw a good handful of cars parked there which seemed normal, until I noticed that pretty much no one was inside the gym. Taking another look around me there was people in and around the cars idk what they were doing but I decided it was best to leave after reading the other reviewers experience with the people there.

Good place to work out, my complaint is the parking lot. Too much homeless people stay in theyre cars at night, some do drugs in front of everyone they dont care if you see them, it has become a homeless haven and I dont like it. Too much trash again because of the homeless.

Ive been going to this gym for a couple if weeks now. Having been to 24 Hour fitness before, I see little difference. Biggest fear was the lunk alarm rumors, but Ive never had a problem with that. Gym isnt overcrowded, there are always machines available. Its not gonna he a perfect experience, but if youre short in cash, its not a bad place to go to.

Im giving it a one start only because of the reviews. I just recently moved to SA and this facility is literally a mile away. LA fitness is to far, however, after reading all the reviews. I am not sure if I will get a membership here. Can someone state if there is still mold in the womens bathrooms? How about the homeless people coming in into the showers? Have the staff gotten properly trained to meet customer service standards? I would really appreciate feedback. I mean Id like to join asap....

Any word on when you guys might be opening back up

Its spacious and most members concentrate on working hard. The locker room attendant was angry yelling at me for no just cause months ago

Unfortunately this facility receives my lowest rating. The whole facility needs management efficiency, weights machines are beat up or just plane broken! Theirs random people hanging out by the parking lot. For a women perspective that feels unsafe for random people just hanging out by the parking lot! Please correct that or add a security to begin with. Now if youre not too busy can you replace, repair the broken/worned down machines? Its unsettling having to work out knowing that same machine could hurt you. Honestly that is one accident waiting to happen, let alone a lawsuit. 😬😳🥴

This place is great. There is a lot of equipment and the prices are good.The only problem is that they switched staff and they have bad customer service skills. The old staff was way better. It looks like they are desperate and just hiring anyone they can get their hands on. The minimum they should do is train the new people.

This is the place I actually go when google thinks Im hanging out at the Home Depot. They have lots of machines to help focus on specific muscle groups, like all gyms. They also have lots of treadmills, cause we ladies have to work our legs! There also appears to be some free weights in back, but Im scared of all the dudes back there looking like theyre either about to get into a flex off or start doing inappropriate things with one another. I hope its the ladder cause the world needs more love. All in all, worth the 10 bucks as long as you come on the regular.

Instead of bashing the homeless, you should try being an active member of your community.. rather than complain, use your black card membership and invite someone less fortunate with you to workout- maybe that interaction will provide ambition for change! 🍻

The gym is pretty standard and Ive had no problem with it but recently the parking lot has been super sketchy if you like to go late 12-5am. Lots of cars are parked but when you go inside there are only ~5 people inside max. Today when I left 2 shady guys were walking around looking in cars then asked for change when I got in mine. When I gave him some he said he wanted it all (pointing to my coin stash). I took off immediately. I dont know what happened to the parking lot recently but its been pretty unsafe. Take care of yourselves

Upon walking in, the place is huge and looks great.lots of room to work outWorst showers Ive ever experienced. Only use them if youre trying to shed the top three layers of your skin. I have welts...

Love all the positive messages all around and the fact that its 24 Hrs is awesome

This location is clean, not very busy unless you hit it during peak times like 3-7pm. Mornings are usually lighter. Free weights are mostly dumbbells, a plenty of machines too. Siren doesnt ring often if at all. Pizza and bagels monthly of thats your thing.

Im so so with the gym. As someone said, people hog the machines,the bench press/squat machines are NEVER open also people do full body workouts with them (Ladies, dumbbell squats work just fine!!!) and wheres the CLASSIC BENCH PRESS? Everyone knows free weights are better.

The gym is always pretty empty (machines available)parking lot tho...W T F ??? empty gym + full parking lot = large mysteryThe gym itself is good. cleaning improving - it’s the skid row development OUTSIDE that makes it inviting.The most off putting: encampment of “day labors” in the parking lot.worse: being gawked at as though they’ve never seen a woman.AND leave my car parked there - amongst the empty beer cans...guy running his own car wash & detail business from the parking lot...Yard sales from car trunks have to be nextParking lot is rocking a “street sweepers on strike” look. Trash everywhere and so is the pungent smell of human urine.

Clean and new, but time will tell if it stays that way. Drinking fountains are weak! Hours suck Friday through Sunday. You shouldnt close so dang early on those days!UPDATE 6/8: Staff never organize the weights. Ive only seen them do it at closing, which of course doesnt do us any good. Because the dumbbells are often placed back incorrectly, you have to really look and make sure youve picked up the correct pair. A few days ago I picked up a pair that were labeled 65lbs on the rack. I didnt realize until I did my set that one of them was 70lbs! This is really maddening. And because they only have one rack of dumbbells, they will often be taken during busy times. They should add a second rack!Also, I really wish they took some open hours, say 2am -4am during the week and applied them to Saturday and Sunday nights. Closing at 7pm on those days is a joke. And who works out at 3am? It makes no sense (other than for marketing) to be open then.

I left la fitness for planet fitness.... best decision ever.... always clean and not so crowded..... plus its 24 hours during the week which is perfect 👌🏼

Big, for the most part clean. I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t always clean their equipment after using. There’s mold in the woman’s showers, hydro bed still isn’t working . But other than that it’s good.

Staff are very nice always greeting when we come in and when we leave.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First time here 4 treadmills don’t work at all and the one I finally found available shakes really bad.They are absolutely dirty and employees seem to not care at all. Never coming back!

The gym is great affordable blah blah. Huge problem though theres always a lot of random people hanging out around the gym, homeless and other people. My coworker got broken into yesterday in broad daylight, she was parked right by the door next to the handicapped spots. The staff was not very helpful and Im guessing per the gyms policy they refused to release the security video without a warrant. There was a witness staff did not get a phone number or enough information from the witness. I have to say I dont feel like I can go there ever again.

Rude staff. I came in tonight to ask about membership but did not realize that it was about a minute to closing time. The guy who appears to be in charge literally shooed me away. I told him that I just needed some info, maybe a flyer about membership to which he curtly answered, I can answer a quick question then quickly rattled off some figures that did not match what was in the flyer that the lady behind the counter gave me. I would have happily returned the following day if they would have handled the situation nicely. You guys just lost a customer.

Wow.. This is my gym.. So what can I say... Ritchie by home Depot ... Is the best in Santa Ana California...

Gym is big but gets full as there is not enough weight machines which leads to all the guys standing around that section which is intimidating. The 30min circuit training is a great workout option to the weight section with all the guys EXCEPT IT IS RARELY USED AS INTENDED! There are always people in there using the machines for reps (because as mentioned not enough duplicate machines) instead of the circuit training which doesnt allow you to complete your circuit. The times Ive tried I find myself bouncing around to try to skip machines that are being hogged but then it is more aggravating then what it needs to be. There are signs that say machines are for circuit only BUT they are small so people dont read it or simply ignore it and staff always turn a blind eye. Also this is a gym where people are working to be healthier, WHY OFFER PIZZA AND BAGELS to your members???!!! Instead of something inline with what everyone is there for like a granola bar, smoothie, fruit, something that is a healthy snack.

How old do you have to be to get into Planet fitness?Can you be 14 years old and still be able to join??

Signed up for $10 month $1 sign up fee membership not realizing gym wasnt open yet. Was initially told that deal was ending on July14 but now I see it has been extended until August 15. Have already been billed despite using any of the facilities. Wanted to see if I can transfer my membership to a different location in the meantime but I cant reach anyone at the number listed. Since these are franchised Im probably s.o.l so Ill more than likely just cancel.

I recently joined this place and all I have to say is horrible I regret so bad. This morning one of the staff left a big container full of soapy water on top of a treadmill and walked away living it unattended and forgot about it soon an older person was unaware of the container and started to use the treadmill and the whole bucket felt all over his feet he almost felt off the machine. He then went to the front desk and ask for help and was ignored by the staff members good 15 minutes went by and I went to see if they could help and they didnt do anything about it instead a got theyre attitude, I ask for the manager and no body was in charge. I told them if someone falls into the soapy water they are going to sue the club and they just laugh at me so a was very disappointed and walked away.

The gym will be open in August 2016(no date as of yet)..... $1 Down to Join (until further notice).... Ill be back to add another review about this location later this year. Im hoping to bring you guys a great review.... Lets see what happens!

One of the cleanest planet fitness.

Always can find parking and usually able to utilize workout equipment without a long wait. Always greeted when entering. Only issue I noticed at this particular location is sometimes the tv on some of the treadmills and the ellipticals do not work. And they seem to run out of paper towels to wipe equipment. Best time to go are early mornings Mon through Sunday for a good full body workout.

My favorite location!! Clean, huge, full of machines and free weights... everything you need. The staff is awesome, courteous, helpful, friendly. I love going to this location.

So far so bad.... I signed up online and when I went in they said I choose the wrong location and instead of correcting issue they told to call the other gym. but when I did that at the front of the employee it just went to voice mail. So what did the not so help full clerk tell me... leave a message or you will have to go over there. Not a good start to for new customer. They have just lost a new customer.

One of thee best locations by far i have been to. Staff has always been great, and i think this is the only location ive been to that has a circuit training area which is pretty nice.

Ill say the bad then the few good. I was there at slow time(12am), Bathroom was nasty, only two toilet stalls and stalls were wet and toilets nasty, shower area was soaked with out any grip mat, thats a law suit waiting to happen, showers were full of junk ppl had left, clearly wasnt cleaned. Only 1 changing room. I saw one cleaning lady but Im assuming she cant go in mens room. Night guy at desk was very disengaged and wouldnt look up the number of another location for me. Claiming they dont have Internet. Im thinking Duh use your phone. The parking lot was very dark and they do not have security so if your the type that safety is a huge issue I wouldnt advise not to go at night. The good was my black card was showing white but guy let me in, this is biggest location Ive been too with many machines others dont have. The A/C was at proper level. Shower stalls were big. I like how each machine you got your own tv screen but the channels were weird. No normal chann such as ESPN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News etc. I dunno whos gonna watch TruTV, or Science etc. lol!

Update June 2019 shower curtains conditions and general cleanliness are improvingOne star for the total lack of upkeep shower curtains are no longer white color they are darker color now it is harder to see the mold ( update 21 April 2017) and trash in shower stalls. Owner or general manager has not done a walk thru of shower area for a while or they just dont care anymore this place is going down hill it was very clean when they first opened now not at all

Staff are pleasant and attentive, equipment and facilities kept in good working order, my only suggestion is updating the showers in the locker rooms. Near-trickle water pressire is inevitabe with well-used shower heads.

I think overall it is a very good value for the money. I joined up about 2 years ago based on the tour I was given. During the tour the guide failed to mention the 30 minute workout area. But, I happened to notice it and I am a real fan of quick vigorous circuit training workouts. They even had signs posted indicating they would keep people not doing the 30 minute workout, out of the area. Unfortunately, at this location the staff is reluctant to police the area. So, people come in right during your session and camp on a machine just like they would at other gyms. Some, if you point out what the area is for would leave but most just ignore you and continue with their phone or waiting for their next set to start. I signed up for a second year after a long layoff for travel and when I came back it was just more of the same. They should take down the signs or put up locked doors with key cards for the people that want to use this area. I told them I would even pay more for that service. To no avail. So, if you want an inexpensive gym with a lot of nice equipment it is a great place but dont expect to do circuit training without a lot of aggravation.Post owner response.So, I apparently cannot do a new review so I am editing this one. I have been mulling over coming back but really could not see how the folks would have changed regarding their 30 minute workout area. But, my step-daughter turns 18 tomorrow and she doesnt care about circuit training so I thought I would buy her a years membership. I was told that unless she was physically there, I could not sign her up. I cannot figure out why that would be. I was there. I was going to pay. I could give them all the information. And, they could take her picture when she came in the first time. Not good enough. I also asked about the circuit training situation and openly told them why I was no longer a member at this time. I asked about it and was plainly told that they could not police the area and keep people out of there who were not doing the circuit training program. I again noted that I would pay extra if it was sealed off to the regular workout people. So, when they refused my attempt to buy my daughter a membership, I said Well, two memberships down now. I wanted the membership to be a surprise. But, the surprise was on me. Oh well. Cant wait for the owners next reply.
