Theres a number of regular donors and I give a lot of credit to Peter there. Ive been there at least a dozen times and he has been there working hard every time except once... Because he was donating himself.

I came here to donate blood and had an interesting experience.I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because some of their staff is friendly and professional, but there are some staff members that are a little too uptight which makes you feel a bit unwelcome. The front desk person was friendly and so were the two women whom finally did my blood plasma donation draw. You can do the usual blood donation or you can do what they call a double donation where they take twice the donation amount of blood out of you...remove the red blood cells so that they can keep it....then return the blood plasma to your body.I opted to the the double donation because it looked interesting and it made me feel like I was doing a little extra to help someone in need. Now, the staff members whom helped process my intake are the reason why my experience was not the best.I told them that my doctor mentioned, in passing, that it may be a good idea to donate blood to the Red Cross. The intake woman immediately said that I was not allow to donate blood because it would be for a medical purpose and that is a different type of situation. After telling her several times that my blood donation is not for medical purposes...that my doctor did not write me a prescription to get my blood drawn...I was there to donate for non-medical reasons; this intake nurse insisted that I was there to make a medically required blood donation.I even called my doctor on the phone (while at the Red Cross Blood Services Center) and he explained that this is not a medical necessity nor is the blood draw for medical purposes, but the intake nurse insisted that she speak to her supervisor to get approval for me to donate blood. As you would expect, the manager approved me for blood donation because there was no reason to not let me donate. I was then transferred to a blood drawing technician whom worked together with another lady to draw my blood (these two ladies were very nice). If I was not in such a good mood that day, I would have walked out of this place and donated my blood somewhere else.

All you can eat and drink snacks, self service. Distance limits thier capacity for donors so book early and often (just like voting in Chicago 😊).

Easiest donation ever. In and out. My veins can be trouble but they got it on the first stick, not even a little wiggle to get the needle in the vein.Tyasha is awesome!

Took BLS CPR course there. Reasonably priced. The receptionist confused the room and they do not post it with online registration. If you are too late they fail you so show up early to make sure you get to right place on time. Parking is easy with a fair amount of spots. They have elevator access to second floor. Facikity is clean and well maintained Break room is nice with multiple vending machines and tables . Bathrooms were clean and well maintained also. Instructor was motivated and engaging. Overall would recommend as a great place to get certified at.

I have been donating platelets for a year so I am here every two weeks or so. Things to know: (1) walk-ins are not always accepted. The last few weeks walk-ins on the weekend have been turned away. Best to make an appointment either online or by phone. (2) They do not answer the phone on the weekend. If you want to make or change an appointment by phone, you need to do it during the week. (3) They have a great administrator, Peter Vu, who can assist you with scheduling, but he is only available by phone or email during the week. (4) If you make a same day appointment on the website during the weekend, you cannot rely on it being a real appointment. No one checks those except during the week. (5) This location is mostly about donations using apheresis machines (double red or platelets), but they also do have a few spots for whole blood donors. If you are looking to donate whole blood on the spur of the moment, check the website since there are probably a lot of other blood drives going on other places that are set up only for whole blood. The staff here are all great, and they do their best to accommodate you. If you have 3 hours to spend, you should really consider giving platelets. They set you up with a movie and headphones on a comfortable recliner and before you know it you are done.

Donate whole blood, platelets, or apheresis. Careful screening by interview and post-donation blood tests. Friendly staff of medical professionals and volunteers. Recommend a reservation by phone or via their app, as walk-ins are gladly accepted but have to be scheduled around the reservations. Waiting room times might be zero, but 15 mins - 1 hour are more typical.Snacks and drinks offered after giving.
