It feels so refreshing going to the same auto shop for over a year. This is a father and sons auto shop. The Owner Danny is amazing! Other places try to push things on you that you dont even need. They didnt want to help me. I called for a simple repair they said its have to call back when the owner was back from his vacation. Ive gone to this place many years ago. And they where great Im not sure what happened over the years. And i dont think COVID-19 had anything to do with this.Many places are just using this for bad service.i hope Danny reads this and fixes this problem.He is s great owner and mechanic. Talk with him if you want things done right.

Danny is the man. I brought my Maxima, he ran the diagnostic and got to it. He explained everything in a very understandable way and cant argue with the price. I will definitely come back and recommend others to check it out.

We live out of town and hired Danny Sr. at Dannys Auto Service to do a pre-purchase inspection for a vehicle near him that we were considering purchasing. He did not cut any corners. He found several issues, texted us 20 photos, and talked with us over the phone about everything he inspected, good and bad. He was honest about what the issues mean and would cost to repair, and the risks of the unknowns with the vehicle as well. We really appreciate him taking the time to squeeze us in and save us from spending so much money on a lemon.

Well.. the reviews are correct,I went to change my oil and install a new lower motor guard for my honda since the original one was damaged..Danny were super friendly and helpful.Service were done in less than 30 min and they installed the shield for free and even gave my kids a free gift.I diffenetly found myself a new car service place since i just moved recently to California

This guy is one of the most honest mechanics Ive ever come across if I could put 2000 stars i would! He is honest when it comes to check ups and he finds you the most inexpensive solution to your problem that are still extremely effective! This will be the only place I come to for my mechanical issues now. If you buy your own oil and filter they will do the oil change for a $20 fee and they actually do the oil change not like a lot of other rip off auto places! Danny for president!!!

If you bring your own oil and oil filter there they will only charge you for $20. That is really cheap and highly recommend to try one .

I went to this shop because it was recommended by a family friend. I was blown away by price and service. My dealership was quoting me quadruple the price for the same services. I was skeptical of going to a small shop, because I have heard horror stories, but after looking at reviews, and being told Danny was trustworthy I decided to give it a shot. So when I needed a second opinion for some serious possible car troubles I brought my car to him this morning. Ive been coming with Danny for a while now. Most mechanics tell you what the problem possibly is and give you a price. He actually shows you the problem and explains. He can be a little pricey but for right reasons, you can also take out a Snap loan from him, and pay monthly if you dont have the money upfront. 😁 I recommend it, Ive done it. His basic oil change is about $35. And make sure you have time because hes a busy guy, lots of customers. I always leave satisfied so thanks Danny ! Will continue to recommend your shop! 💜🙏

Im from out of town and was in Santa Ana to buy a car but needed it checked out first. The owner was so great and friendly. Ive been going to Dannys Auto Service for over ten years. Danny has worked on both generations of my Lexus, all my Hondas: Odyssey and Civic, Oldsmobile Silhouette, and my Toyota Tundra truck -- he takes care of them all, keeps my on the road and is proactive with my repairs to keep the costs down ... I enjoy working with Danny because he is patient, a good teacher in explaining the issues and concerns for me to be mindful of and is very reasonably priced. I drive from Irvine to his shop because I know he is a mechanic I can trust. My schedule is crazy busy, so planning ahead sometimes doesnt work for me, but Danny always seems to work me in. Danny works smart and has good relations with his parts providers and has always been able to get various parts in a timely manner while I wait. He runs a very efficient business and his crew has been the same since Ive been going there.

Found this shop on Google which already had high ratings so decided to take a chance.I was dealing with a squeak sound coming from one of my brakes so figured they needed to be replaced and brought my vehicle in to the shop. Danny was able to assist me with verifying my brakes were in good shape, he further explained the ins and outs of my brake system and recommended a rotor and caliper clean up instead.I would recommend their service to anyone out there, you rarely see this type of honesty in the industry. I wanted to take a moment to thank Danny and recommend him! I am a young woman, I live in Newport Beach. I have a 15 year old suv and needed my power steering looked at. I chose to drive to Santa Ana because of all of his amazing reviews. Danny recommended that I purchase some new product that was supposed to fix any damage/leaks to the power steering ($16.99) from a store down the road (he called ahead to make sure it was in stock and asked them to hold it for me) and try pouring it in and drive around for a few days.It worked perfectly, and he didn’t charge me a dime. From MUCH past experience being a young single woman, most (if not all) mechanics would have made me leave the car, they would have run “diagnostics” and hit me with a big bill.Danny knew I was on a very tight budget and suggested I try this first, and if it didn’t work, he said, we would go from there. Since then I have been back multiple times for small things, a blown headlight, a new tire and I’ll be going back to him next week for my smog emissions test (his friend next door does it).Danny is TRULY a decent, kind man and he knows how to fix cars! Came here to Dannys after randomly calling in. Needed my car looked at ASAP. The person on the phone was patient, polite, and very honest and informative over the phone. When I finally got to the shop it was pretty late in the Day. I expected them to be impatient or turn me away but i was pleasantly surprised. Danny politely welcomed me in spite of him already having a lot of clientele in at the time. They checked my fluids and changed my oil making the whole process less than an hour (including wait time). When all was said and done they went as far as to inform me about what else was going on with my car other than just the fluids and oil. He also informed me about a special he had going on for Oil changes and i was able to get a discount. I even got a free keychain! Ironically, even without the discount, his prices were the most competitive in the entire city (i checked) ! Dannys Auto is highly recommended, and this will be my regular go-to shop from now on

Danny is the most professional customer service mechanic ive been grateful meeting. Many times he could of made bank off of me but the man is intelligent and is only servicing his clients in the best care. Today, i had Triple A advise me that my radiator was shut down, took it to Danny and he advised me call Triple A and replace my battery that is under warranty. He allowed my car to stay parked by his shop until i was taken care of and again im just in shock how this mechanic is showing me to start trusting again. Its hard to trust once youve been let down. Get your 2nd opinion by him if you dont like your first opinion elsewhere. Its worth the wait and your time. Im 200% Happy with this shop services!!!

Danny was NOT an honest mechanic with me. My car was slow to start, and so I went to a few mechanics to check my batteries. Danny did a battery test himself. The first time it showed that my battery has normal charge. But he was slow to tell me that, even as I was standing right next to him, and for some reason he didnt look satisfied. He went to get another instrument to check my battery again. This time, he claimed that my battery had very low charge and needed to be replaced immediately. My instinct told me NOT to trust him, knowing that my car had been idle and wasnt driven in over a week, and therefore explains why my car was slow to start earlier that day. I had it checked out by 2 other mechanics----and they all said that my battery was fine and didnt need to be replaced for a long time. It wasnt until another year when I finally did get a new battery. Thankful I didnt allow myself to be fooled by Danny. Honest he is NOT.

Referred by a co-worker, drove from Mission Viejo to Santa Ana. As soon as I arrived I met Danny, he checked my car out for my brakes because of its grinding problem. After inspecting them he determined that it was brake pad indicator. He got them replaced them at a very reasonable price. Will definitely return for other repairs. Definitely worth the drive.

Ive gone in once before for a check-up and just visited because my brake pad had worn down and was grinding metal. I went to Dannys to get my steering wheel was loose & bobbing all over the place. The Volvo dealership was charging me an arm & a leg $130 just to look at it & I am sure the parts would be insane. My friends told me about Dannys so I took it to him & it turned out to be some sort of bearing on the column shaft. He was able to fix it for under $300.
