Stacy Beck is awesome. Theyre there to help for housing
My daughter and I went to Safehouse of Seminole County over a year ago and they really helped us. They got us hooked up with Pathways to Homes. It was a blessing in my life and it still is. Although Im not in the program anymore, my counselor has now moved to the Orlando location and I really miss her she was a great person her name was Laquonda. They help find me a place to live and helped with rent for about 6 to 9 months
I didnt like my case manager attitude she was really nasty to me i was trying to explain to her about my mother being sick she was diagnosed with cancer it very upsetting i asked her to reschedule me
Im still waiting for assistance from them. I have done everything on my own though i have 3 kids to take care of and they still have me on a waiting list
I have been on the waiting list since July 2017. I call often and the last thing the workers have said to me is that im waiting on a case worker. I have been waiting for a case worker for MONTHS. My children and I have been homelesss since we were kicked out of the domestic violence shelter in Seminole county (Safehouse of Seminole). I am working FT and have been since I left the shelter, however after the 45 days were over, my children and I had to leave. They referred us to Pathways and I havent received ANY assistance. I hate to pull the race card but families who were white recieved housing immediately. Pathways to Home is a resource they gave us that is just as useless as living in that dreadful shelter. I was abused by my husband but I at least had a ROOF!!!
I was told by a worker after completing paperwork that I would not be added to the waiting list until I have another organization assist me with housing!!
