Everyone made me feel very welcome told me everything that they were going to do for my pups annual visit. I felt very relaxed and my pups we were very happy maybe to happy the whole time we were there

Happy experience! I had an emergency with my baby black fur baby. They took us right in. Everyone was fabulous that works there. So kind and loving to her. Doctor (Dyer)and her assistant (Brianna) were wonderful .Ty all.

I had concerns about lesions on my Golden-Doodle. I was able to get an appointment quickly and when I arrived they did a timely intake over the phone and then took my dog in soon after. They were good in communication after her exam and provided a diagnosis and remedy in a timely manner.

A most rewarding visit. The staff was very helpful .I was told exactly what the treatment was and was in and out quickly! Very pleased.

Finally we found a great vet, Dr. Moira Sheehan at Shawme. We adopted an older dog with very little medical history and a not so great disposition when it comes to being poked at, and the team at Shawme led by Dr. Sheehan were up for the challenge. They were all very efficient and very professional, something that we desperately needed at the time. They put a plan together that will that will provide the best care for our new family member. Can’t say enough.

This was a first visit for our brand new puppy. Doctor Sheehan was quick and professional, taking the time to get to know us and answer all our question. The staff was also friendly and helpful.

My little 12 pound yorkie poo, Izzy was knicked by a car on 6A. It was a really really close call. We rushed her to Shawme Animal Hospital. The entire staff helped us and her. They triaged her immediately and gave her xrays, and sent us home with anti-inflammatories. They also comforted a very worried family! We are so incredibly lucky she is ok, as it could have been so much worse. Thank you to everyone who helped my little Izzy :)

The team at Shawme is fantastic! I have brought a few cats to them over the years and they always just wonderful with them. On my most recent visit they were so so so good to my cat. I had a terrible experience at a groomer who is also located in Sandwich and became a hot mess after that groomer said some horrible things about my pet and implied she was sick. My cat was clearly traumatized by this woman and she never even groomed her. Shawme took her in right away did a full check confirming my cat is healthy and although they do not normally do grooming they were able to get all of the mattes off of my cat so she is happy, healthy and comfortable again. I was a hot cat mamma mess and they comforted me and did what they could to help reassure me my cat was going to be ok. I appreciate them for being their in that moment to help us both!

We love Dr. Dave and his staff. They truly care about the animals in their care and take the time to listen to us in order to treat our fur babies. Dr. Dave recently euthanized my niece’s MinPin; he and his staff couldn’t have been more compassionate when doing this. We travel an hour each way to go to Shawme, and as long as they will have us, we’ll be their customers! They are like an extended family.

Ive been taking my cats to Shawme Animal Hospital for at least 15 years. Dr. Romeiser truly cares about his patients. For exp: one of my cats became ill on a Sunday morning. The office was closed so I left a vm requesting an appointment as early as possible the next day. Dr. Romeiser returned my call within minutes. He was several hours away, dropping his son off at college, but made arrangements to meet me at the office on his way home. Upon examination, he determined that my cat was so ill that we needed to take him to a local emergency veterinary hospital for further treatment. Unfortunately, the cat had to be euthanized. I will always be grateful to Dr. Dave for caring so much that he gave up part of his day off to see my pet. His devotion to his patients prevented my pet from further suffering. Thank you to Dr. Dave, hospital manager Matt, and the staff at Shawme!

My pups can be a bit skittish, so I am very picky with who provides their care. Dr. Dave and his staff go out of their way to make every visit a positive experience!!!

We followed Abbey Henneman when she left another animal hospital, Dr Henneman is the best. She truly loves animals and it shows in her hands on approach.The place is top notch. Everyone so genuinely kind and compassionate. Our dog is dying and its such a painful time to know we wont have her much longer. All of the staff were very kind and very responsive as well as respectful of us and our sweet baby Lucky.

I can not say enough good things about Shawme. Dr. Dave and his staff are some of the most kind and compassionate people, they go above and beyond. Both of my kitties have recently turned 17 and that would not of been possible without the 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 saving surgery to one and quick diagnosis and care for the other. They have taken them any time I have called with a problem, which at their age and history there is always something. They are honest in their care in that they will never order anything unnecessarily and are conscious to the affordability of their services, enough so that after practically living there I was cut a break or in some instances wasn’t charged. For that I am grateful, no one ever wants to have to choose saying goodbye to a best friend because of money. Even though this a business and they have to make money Dr. Dave proves it’s always about the animals not the dollars and for that I am thankful!

I cannot rate Shawme Animal Hospital highly enough! We brought in our cat after suffering a massive stroke. We knew things were very critical and met with Dr. Romeiser. He was so compassionate and understanding of our situation and was willing to go above and beyond to try to save our cat. Under his and his staffs care, our cat has shown much improvement. He’s even been having me bring my cat in twice a day, even though they have appointments booked weeks in advance, to make sure he’s hydrated and he sees improvement, at no charge! The staff have been wonderful and accommodating and have always been nothing but friendly and understanding. It’s also very clean inside. It’s so nice to have a vet and staff that make the animals care their top priority. They are everything you’d want from a veterinarians office

Our elderly Irish Wolfhound has been patiently attended by Dr. Taylor Kirby-Madden and this vets skill and expertise are evident during our appointments. Its been MONTHS SINCE my partners cat died!! This Vet keeps emailing him saying that the pet is past due on health services and to schedule an appointment?!?How do you run a business and not note your files accurately! My Boyfriend reported this vet to the Better Business Bureau FOR POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES!

Dr. Romeiser s always a terrific veterinarian. Hes worked with us for over thirty years. Hes exceptionally competent; thorough and research oriented; very caring and his services are priced fairly. He and his staff demonstrate terrific interpersonal skills; theyre good listeners; they follow up to find out how your pet is doing and if there are any concerns related to your pets recuperation, they respond immediately. After you, hes likely to be your pets best friend.

Our cat Riley had suffered a second heart problem in 2 years. The first time we brought them to the Bourne animal Hospital for help and they did good job but was extremely expensive. This time Dr. David Romeise helped us with the same treatment which was less than a fifth of the our original bill from 2 years ago. We started bringing our very first dog to Dr. Romeiser 10 years ago by recommendation of my mother and brother who also brought their cats and dog there for 30+ years. We have been using Shawme Animal Hospital for almost 15 years. In that time Dr. Romeiser and his staff have provided our family pets outstanding care. When we first moved to the cape, we tried other providers, but just didnt seem to obtain the balance we were looking for until we came to Shawme. Dr. Romeiser is an outstanding Doctor that provides both great expertise as well as great bedside manner for both his patients and their owners. In my most recent experience with their office, my dog wasnt eating and had very little energy. Within a short period of time, Dr. Romeiser diagnosed our dog with a rare disease that if had been left untreated, our dog would no longer be with us. Their office is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We have been bringing our dogs to Shawme Animal Hospital for 17 years. Fortunately, we have only had a few real emergencies in that time. Dr. Romeiser and his staff have been AMAZING each and every time! Our most recent emergency was on Friday, December 7th. We found that our 2 year old shorthair had a large rock lodged in his small intestine. It was near closing time, on a Friday night. Dr. Romeiser and 3 of his Vet. Techs( Tara, Cara, and Brianna) willingly stayed after hours on a Friday to operate on our very sick puppy. We are so grateful for each of them. That is a true testament of how much they really care for animals! The after care was just as amazing!

Best place I ever took my pets too. The staff as a unit shares a deep compassion that you can feel and all of my pets could too.. What cat enjoys going to the vet and purrs when theres a thermometer up thier butt?? MINE did when they were they! Dr Dave is the the most compassionate Dr i have ever met and treated my cats as if they were his own. He put my first cat down so peacefully and comfortable and I went through many Vets until we found Dr Dave to do it, and am so Thankful to have found him for my first baby. He then took care of my next cat and was phenominal. Also very good with pricing even though that didnt matter much to me and can call him 24/7... Couldnt ask for a better place!!!
