Firelands Plumbing 1401 Edgewater Dr in Sandusky, OH had to dig up our concrete drive to repair our foundation leak.Their contract stated I will have to pay an additional short load fee for the concrete truck which he verbally told me was approximately $300. He said that the concrete truck will park in the road and the Firelands employees will have to use a wheelbarrow to haul concrete to the house. After repairing the foundation leak they wanted to concrete immediately. I informed them I wanted to wait a week to concrete in case the leak wasn’t repaired as the basement still was wet. They agreed and said it would be at least a month to come back to concrete. I didn’t mind because I didn’t want to have to pay for concrete twice should the foundation still leak. They finally sent one man to concrete (he did a good job) however, he came in a pickup truck with a trailer. The trailer had a wooden box full of concrete. He backed the trailer right up to the hole and did the job. The office called me the next week to pay for the concrete and told me the price which was the original price with the short load fee. I asked her to call the owner to ask why it was so much since there wasn’t a short load fee because there was never a concrete truck. The owner told her I had to pay it because I didn’t let them concrete it when they wanted to and had to come back again. There was NO concrete truck at my house EVER and they still charged me for it.

I had my entire house redone with Pex piping. Total professional in all aspects from initial contact, estimate, job completion in a timely fashion along with communication throughout. 110% satisfied. I would recommend Rob and Firelands plumbing for any of your plumbing needs!

Ive used Firelands multiple times and have always had a great experience. The woman who does the scheduling is very friendly and has accommodated our various needs. When they needed to reschedule due to a major issue on another job they were kind enough to call and ask if that was ok with us. The girl who answers the phone seemed nice but either she’s not handling the calls or the estimator is not following through with the calls coming in.At this point I blame both.Each time I called in I heard the same story, we have the address and all the info we need, let me check with the plumber to see when he can meet you out there and I’ll call you back.4 calls, same response from her, NEVER a call from a plumber or a call back from her keeping me updated on the status of the estimate.This was only an attempt to get an estimate, I can’t even image what it would be like to actual schedule the work with this these people.No thanks!! We needed a hot water tank replaced as ours was original to the home and very old (not an emergency). We scheduled the initial appointment a week and half ahead of time when I could be there (this is a seasonal home). I had an email confirmation of the appointment, a text reminder the day before, and a tech that showed up on time. Rob made sure I understood what he was recommending and why. All work was performed professionally and quickly - WOULD DEFINITELY USE AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMMEND TO MY NEIGHBORS IN NORTH SHORE ESTATES!

I have used them 2 times and they came same day for service. Very responsible and know what they are doing. Very good at explaining what needed to be done. Todays service man even mopped my floor when he was done! Will definitely use them again and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Our main sewer pipe is made of old cast iron and it rusted completely through in a large spot. Andrea responded to our emergency call immediately and they were able to start working on the repair within a couple days. They had to cut out about 15 feet of cast iron pipe and replace it all with pvc pipe. In addition, they had to reroute a gas line that was interfering with the new pipe installation. Rob also went above and beyond by rerouting the washer pipe to make it drain more effectively! It was a huge job, so I was highly impressed that they were actually able to get it all done in one day like they said they would! Rob and Colby did a great job at explaining everything in detail as they were working as well! I highly recommend Firelands Plumbing; they were very professional and did an amazing job!

Awsome service and quick

I called Firelands after having someone else come out and basically do nothing. Colby came out to (Marblehead, Oh) to check our gutter drain sewer pipe. It was full of roots and other items from years of being neglected. Heres the key point: They have the modern equipment (100 foot Camera & 9000 PSI cleaner) to do the job correctly. Way better than an auger. They spotted a couple of breaks after cleaning out what they could up to the major pipe break. They were extremely knowledgeable on what they were using and doing. Colby provided his recommendation of a course of action to repair the problems we were experiencing. I went with his recommendation. In the short period of time dealing with them, I had full confidence They know what they are doing. I will never call anyone else now that I know they are in business. Thank you Firelands for your All Around professionalism. FYI - it was even nice setting up the appointment with the office representatives. They are extremely pleasant also. I never met him, but I can tell Rob Kurtz runs a great business.

We recently had Rob and Gage to fix a kitchen sink that would not drain in our old Victorian-era home. Previous to Firelands Plumbing coming out, I had two other people look at it. Their solution was to pour Drano down the sink and call it repaired. The problem was not fixed until Firelands Plumbing came out and did things the right way. They were extremely friendly and efficient, and the sink has been working flawlessly. Next time we will go direct to Firelands Plumbing.

Bought a home and was unaware there were issues with the pipes.In the middle of horrible snowstorm, freezing Temps Brian and his crew came out and got the pipes all cleared out within an hour and a half, and the price was very affordable!!!!Beyond greatful❤

It was excessively overly expensive! The only reason I aggreged to the payment was I thought that it was a more difficult job, I was mislead, six months after the work was done and there was issue, they failed to be morally sound in backing there work. After the Job was done they left without cleaning up after themselves.

Repaired a break in the sewer line and performed an inspection of the full line and system for us. They came out and inspected the day we asked, then they had it fixed by noon the next day, despite requiring heavy equipment to dig. Nice folks, cleaned up after themselves, etc.

I called on Monday to get an estimate. Explained what was going on and they said it wouldnt be a problem to come out. They scheduled a guy to come on Wednesday from 1-3. Instead of coming out they called at 2 and told me that they would no longer come out to give the estimate. This is poor service and very unprofessional. Would not recommend wasting your time with them.Edit:I do not have a shut off valve leaking, I have a pipe with a valve that burst and it is leaking costing a lot of money every day that it is not fixed.

Had a blocked main sewer drain we found out later was full of roots. Gauge and Rob came at 10 pm just 30 minutes after I called. They advised me the best way to handle the situation which meant waiting till the next day and that was workable for me. The next day Rob and Adam came and they impressively solved the problem at a fair price. Great guys and responsive owner Brian who took my call late in the evening and got his guys right to work for me. Thanks to all of you.

We were very impressed with Gage from Firelands Plumbing. He showed up on time actually before he was scheduled he did a great job Great Value we would recommend him . Gage even went into our crawl space and thoroughly checked out to make sure there were no leaks no mold he went above and beyond we are very pleased.

We had roots in our pipes that were causing a back up. We called our local “big name” plumbing co. Their estimate was $3600. We thought that was really high, so we called Firelands Plumbing. They came and did it for half the price of the big name plumber. They also said that the extent of the damage wasn’t as bad as we were told. Firelands plumbing was professional, courteous, they explained what they were doing and they cleaned up after the job. We couldn’t be happier with their services! We will not waste time with any other plumbers in the future!

Showed up on time with two trucks for an estimate. Asked them to replace an outside faucet. They both left to get a replacement ten min.away. After 1 hour 45 Min They did not return or call. I cancelled their service and was able to receive the same service for $75 less.

Called for a gas leak and in less then five minutes after my call to them Gage called me back to let me know he had some free time now to come out and take a look he was here within 10min and found the leak was nice to work with and helped fix our issue thank u guys so much

I always know who to call. This was the 3rd time using Firelands Plumbing since moving into my home almost 3 yrs ago and each time... all different plumbing situations have been taken care of to my satisfaction. The last was very clogged pipes in bathroom. They were able to move up my appt to late today and took care of it and now all is well!! I have never use this company before but all I have to say is there was a younger blonde hair gentleman that works for them and bought my son stuff at the gas station because he forgot his money at home! It made my heart melt I would definitely use them if I have future issues!

My shower drain was clogged and I called Firelands Plumbing after seeing their truck in my neighborhood. What a mistake. The service tech said he would use his high powered jet to unclog my tub drain but instead grabbed MY cable drain snake. He removed the plate and used my equipment to pull out a small clog in 10 minutes and then charged me over $200. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE. The entire time he criticized Franklin Sanitation. What a rip off.

We found ourselves in total chaos mode on a Saturday evening. Our washing machine, kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and tub ALL backed up after doing a load of laundry. After trying multiple companies, they all wanted to charge over $100 just to come out on a weekend emergency call, on top of whatever they would need to do, I came across SEVERAL wonderful reviews for Firelands Plumbing on. Wakeman community site, I decided to call them. I was lucky enough to get right through to the owner, and even though they don’t service vermilion much, he came right out to help us. It turned out our entire line system was riddled with tree roots. They had to completely blast them open, then clean them. Not only did they stay until they got the job entirely done, the price was beyond fair, and he gave us a two year warranty. Not only did those things impress me, but just the kindness and promptness he exercised in the midst of a very stressful situation with us. (And they didn’t mention my curious munchkins following them around.) Very prompt and neat, professional but personable, and best call we could have made. I’d give them 6 stars if I could. ❤️

On several occasions, I have called on Firelands Plumbing. They have installed new sewer lines, pumps, waterproofed the basement, as well as poured new concrete at my home. Someone actually answered my call at 5am. Told me they could have someone out that day. Other places responded with anywhere from putting me on a waiting list to a week and a half later. Didnt make the time frame given, but did come that day. This I completely understand with the amount of calls they were getting for frozen pipes. (Cant expect plumbers to leave a job without finishing to go to another appointment.)Was disappointed with the price. Would be over $300 to attempt to thaw the pipes for an hour. This did not include replacing the heat tape that wasnt working. Sadly had to turn them away. Ive had frozen pipes before and the chances of it thawing in an hour is slim to none. Could not afford this company at these prices.They did not charge me for coming out.
