Mark at the service desk was prompt to help fix my low tires. They didnt charge me anything because the diagnosis was pretty simple.Service is great, and the service desk was amazing. Will be coming back if any issues in the future!

I went to the Sandusky location for 4 new tires. Was told the machine malfunctioned and “scratched” my rim. Get home and hubby notices TWO damaged rims, which owner fessed up to hubby he also knew about and that his female technician did not set the machine up like he told her to. I was offered to have a tech at his shop fix my rims and would need my car 2-3 days, no rental offered. Today (over a month later) I stop by and am told they are still waiting for 220 sandpaper to be delivered. No apology, not once. See pics of damage here for yourself.. one rim indeed scratched, other is GOUGED. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!

I was 11 hours from home and 7 hours from my destination these kind gentleman got me in right away found the problem and fixed it for a better price and fast then anyone else was willing too. They were so friendly, helpful, and honest. I would give them 100 star rating if I could! Highly recommend!

We were out of towners visiting Cedar Point Amusement Park from Central Pa. Our alternator died and we were on the verge of our entire trip being ruined. Woke up on the last morning of our vacation with a 9 hour drive ahead of us. Went outside to a flat tire. Took the tire to a different place and they said they wouldn’t do it. I then took it to GLT and Im sure glad I did. In only about 15 minutes they had patched the hole in my tire and I then drove 700 miles without issue. Thank you guys for being so helpful and getting me back on the road with virtually no delay. Please consider stopping at this place if you have and other needs, they do much more than just tires! Mark and his guys are awesome. They always quickly take care of everything I need. I am a delivery driver and cant work without my car. They always make sure Im good to go. My dad and I had just got in town from a 12 hour drive and as soon as we headed to dinner, we discovered the right rear brake caliper had come completely unbolted, hitting on the inside of the wheel, and the truck shouldn’t have been driven because of the damage it was going to end up causing. On our way to the auto parts store, we passed this shop right at 5:30 and turned in as a last resort. The mechanic was about to close up shop, but he immediately began searching for bolts (despite the fact that they were extremely busy) that we could use and the manager got on the phone and called local parts suppliers for the bolts when he discovered no one could get us any. We thought we were out of luck until the manager came out saying that O’Reilly’s had the bolts. The mechanic followed us to the store, put the bolts in in the parking lot, and had such a great conversation with us after it was fixed! It’s so refreshing to see such kind and hardworking people, and Hamad Tire and Auto Service without a doubt saved us a lot of trouble and money! Thank y’all so much!

UPDATE: 3rd visit on 5/22/21. Set an appointment with Mark for my wifes 2010 Ford Escape which was in desperate need of tires. Vehicle was all over the road. Arrived on the above date which was a Saturday. Another homerun service with Matt and Josh really stepping up to get a very unsafe vehicle roadworthy again. This vehicle was in serious need and the guys got the vehicle back in great shape. Wife was thrilled with how it drove and she feels totally safe. Helped set everything up for drop off of my car and they did any awesome job installing new tires. My Ford Fusion rides smoothly once again! This is my second visit for tires and I will be back in the future for any service I need.

I have lived in the area my whole life but have never been loyal to any particular auto shop because of one reason or another... until I was introduced to Hamad Tire in Sandusky. They are great! I bring all of my work vehicles to them and they get me in and out quickly and do a great job. Mark and everyone I have met are always friendly and I am very happy with the service and customer service I receive.

No BS or run-arounds. Had a punctured tire serviced here after *another* tire center (with a surname title) in the area claimed the locking lug nut key went magically missing from its sealed package in the trunk (OK who knows) - but then essentially refused to try removing the locking lugnuts and gave excuses that the wheel studs could be damaged, etc. This isnt rocket science with correct tools and I was able to remove one myself. In any case, Hamads took care of us, the tire and the lugnuts. They didnt overcharge or try to upsell anything. Ill certainly consider Hamads when a set of new tires is in order and did get a reasonable quote for reference.

Hamad Tire in Sandusky is THE BEST! I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else. Mark knows me by name when I walk in (even without an appointment) and always gives me the biggest hello and welcome. Matt and Josh are amazing mechanics and have fixed everything I’ve thrown their way quickly and with expert attention. Everyone is always completely transparent (which I truly appreciate given that I know absolutely nothing about cars!) and I never feel taken advantage of. They take great care of me and my vehicles every time I come in, and they do it with a smile. They enjoy their work.. and that makes all the difference. You seriously won’t be able to find better people to service and repair your vehicles! I HIGHLY recommend!

While on vacation we ended up with a screw in our tire. No other place in town would help us out. Mark & the guys at Hamad Tire, took us in immediately. The could fix the tire as the screw was in the sidewall...but they changed our tire to the spare, free of charge! Thank you!!!

I bought a Vehicle from and individual that wouldn’t start after the third day it was purchased. once we got it started we took it straight to Hamad Tire & Auto for a quick oil change and found out the car wouldn’t start after the oil change was done. turns out i bought a lemon. it was stuck in there garage for a couple of days. within those days they pinpointed the problems came up with a solution to have the car running and gave us a more than fair price on the costs despite EVERYTHING THAT WAS WRONG WITH IT . very hard working mechanics that are honest and show great integrity and i’m more than pleased with the service. i appreciate you again and the next time i come by it’ll be with some beer hahaha!

Fast and honest service! Only fault was they accidentally locked our keys in our car when we went to pick it up after they closed and we had to pay for a lockout service. Other than that i would definitely recommend them!

We were on vacation and got a flat tire. Went to three other place and couldn’t get in. Hamad (Great Lakes Tire) got us in and fixed the tire in 20 minutes. The entire staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and answered all of our questions. They saved the day!

I was on a trip to the east coast on a Saturday morning and got the right rear tire poked on OH-2. I started calling nearby auto shop but none had the correct size in stock. Luckily, the manager Mark picked up my phone call and informed us he had the tires. Not only did his crew help me with the flat tire, but they changed the other three after inspecting their conditions (bad enough). Mark was such a gentleman who made the process so smooth and pleasant! He even gave me some rebates and left comments on the receipt after knowing my situation. I would never be able to arrive at the destination without his extraordinary services! Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and couldnt buy him and his crew something to show my appreciation. Definitely recommend to go there if you encounter anything car-related. Mark is the man you would want for your car!

If you need service quickly, I would not recommend this place. They had my car for over 11 and a half hours to replace my rear shocks and replace two tires. (Over the course of two days)Also if you are looking for professionalism, look elsewhere. Their desk attendant’s language could pass for a drunk’n sailor. I’m glad I didn’t have kids with me in the waiting area!They don’t take reservations so you basically pull your car in in the morning and wait, and wait, and wait until they finally stop chatting with each other and decide to work.My car sat in the lot for 30 minutes after they finished working on it while the desk attendant gabbed on and on with someone about her obsession with tiktok.Again if your looking to get anything done quickly or professionally, avoid this place.

I dont think they know how much of a burden they took off my shoulder with every little thing she did and the fast service once I got my car there. Im forever grateful. ❤

Needed two tires. Called around and Great Lakes not only was the only one with desired tires in stock but they had the best price. Not only did they beat the list price but it included mount, balance, and no tire disposal fee. Also, the staff was very friendly and fast. Definitely will be going back.

They seemed busy also, but the man behind the desk checked out my issue right away. After fearing a wallet-busting issue, just turned out to be loose lugnuts. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Tried to sell me new tires when the tires on the vehicle had barely 30,000 miles on them. All I wanted them to do is rotate and check tires for a slow leak as I had to refill 2 tires twice. Tires are rated for 60,000 miles by the way and they are the ones who put them on. Manager quelled situation a little bit but I wont buy tires from this place ever again. They are very unethical and I would seriously question if they perform the work they say they do. Mark all applicable items on your vehicle however you can before they service is my suggestion. If they read this they will know who I am.

I had the pleasure of doing business at Hamad Tire in Sandusky, OH. recently. I spoke to Michelle McCurdy on the phone before taking our car in for tire repair and an oil change. She was so friendly and very knowledgeable about what we needed done. She quoted me the best price for what we needed and said we could have the work done yet that day. The car was done as promised at the price quoted. There was no “up-sell” pressure for things we didn’t need. Next week we will be taking the other car in for an oil change, too. We will certainly be checking with them first for any other repairs or service in the future. Thank you Michelle and Hamad Tire.

Worse place ever..I live in Louisville Kentucky and was vacation here in Sandusky. I took my car in for a tire alignment in the summer due to their cheap price of 49.99. Yet, the people told me the first time it wasnt wise to do an alignment due to my tires. The next following day I went to Walmart and purchase four new tires. Furthermore, I brought my vehicle back to the place for alignment. When I got my truck back I headed for home to Louisville. Well about an hour into my trip I decided to let go of the wheel and test my alignment. I was being happy having good faith that the people did me right. Oh no, my car began to vary towards to right. I called the people admittedly. They ensure me that they would take care of this issue the next time I am in town. Well I just got another vacation and came back here (could of vacation else where) to get car fix. I took it back to them and now they claim I am not in system. However, they told me they would fix issue dont worry about it. They examine the vehicle and gave it back to me saying something wrong with ball joints. How convenient, my husband believe they may have loosen ball joint because there wasnt an issue with it before. So they say it is best to get it fix before alignment. I replace the ball joint that day and it cost me 175 dollars. The next following day I brought it back to them to fix alignment. Now they say due to ball joint this void my warranty on alignment. Also, alignment warranty only goes for 30 days. OK, I did all that to fix the issue and now they say this. Well I live out of state, they never fixed it from the beginning which was a waist of my money. Moreover, they gave me their word that they would fix it when I left and came back. In addition, they also now saying they need my receipt that i could have left back home now. This was their way of covering up why they couldnt honor their word. There is a saying all money isnt good money. Cheap isnt always best.

I was picking up my daughters car with her. They treat you like you know nothing about a car when they did not get it fixed. Gave her a bunch of BS and not sure they truly did the oil change. Sticker was not changed. Told us the tire light might go out after we drive it for a couple of days. Wow!!!

Got a flat tire in our RV and they are the only place around Cedar Point that has our tire size. Service was quick and good. Staff is very nice and got everything done right. If Im in the area and I need a tire I will be stoping here again.

They got my truck in immediately, even though I was a little early. First two tires, bam, on the truck in 30 mins. They had a little trouble getting the other 2 to “bead”. 275 20 with aggressive tread. The problem was due to the way the tires are banded and shipped combined with the cold weather. These guys still found a way (no bush style lighter fluid or ether), to get them beaded. They did an awesome job! Only place I’ll deal with for my personal truck and my company truck.

I advise everyone to avoid this place. They cant even Handel a basic oil change. Took my 04 grand am to them for an oil change cuz I work a couple doors down from them. Pick the car up on my way home everyone was kind and polite so I thought everything was in order. I decided to check my oil 2 day later out of curiosity. It was insanely low. Barely even touching the dip stick. I didnt get the car back to them for a week because of the Thanksgiving holiday and them being closed. The following Monday I took it back to them. On the drive back to the shop my engine began to knock. I mentioned it to them and they redid the oil change. But heres what upset me, the mechanic admitted they messed up and the knock could be from the lack of oil. Now I have a car that I cant drive due to their negligence and they are refusing to do anything to fix it

In and out very quickly. I had a tire go bad headed to cedar point with the kids. Found this place and my nightmare was quickly handled by the mechanics and counter lady. Kids even got popcorn.

Called Thursday 6/9/20 about tires and they told me they had them too come up between 8-9 am and they could get them on wife went up the this morning and they told her they didnt have them guess they arent on the same page up there

Had four tires replaced here and all was good I thought. They forgot to tighten one of my back tires, not one but all 5 lug nuts. I was going down the road hit a bump and two of my studs broke off, thats when I found out they were all loose. Called the store hes said tough luck and actually laughed at me. I will never do business with this company again and recommend no one else does they clearly dont appreciate their costumers.

My car one day would not start had a battery that was a month old in it so I had AAA tow it to hamad great lakes thinking it was a bad alternator. Took them about 30 minutes to fix they ended charging me for a brand new battery said mine was bad and kept the old one. About 2 weeks later car would not start again so a friend of mine suggested replacing the battery terminal($5 part) so I did took me a whole 5 mintues and the car has started just fine ever since that day which was about 8 months ago.

2015-9-21 went in to get new tires and stood at the counter for 10 minutes while two or three guys slowly walked around the shop and never asked if I needed anything. It was very slow and I couldnt be missed. When I walked out and started to drive away, one of the guys went in to the service desk, almost as if he was waiting for me to leave...which I did and gave my business to the competition.
