I grew up on this library, and as a result was pretty spoiled. Years of travel and relocation have shown me just how incredible of an asset it is for a town this size. I’ve lived in higher population cities, university towns, and other small towns - this library is a heavyweight by comparison. So lucky to have it.
I have always had a soft spot for libraries in general, but the Sandpoint Branch is one of the best small-town libraries Ive been to! The staff is so kind and helpful, the e-book and audio book services are wonderful (I use the Libby app with my library card) and theres always a good selection of new and old books alike. Im so grateful to have this wonderful resource in our little community 💗
I love how the library has access to so many titles! Between Overdrive (and the partner libraries - which are awesome) and Hoopla, I can find most of the titles I want (as long as theyre not too obscure). I moved here from a place with a very large library, and have been pleasantly surprised at how many titles I have access to, even though Im living in a small town. The pandemic has been so much more tolerable because I have a great selection of ebooks to read! I also love the curbside pickup service (so convenient!) and appreciate their mask policy.
The staff here are excellent, and there is a wide selection of books. Lovely neighborhood library!
I enjoy the library and I go here to get all my schoolwork done! Their covid policies are very good and I really appreciate them making everyone wear a mask, it is one of the safest spots in town.
Extremely disappointing that people are forced to put on a mask, even if they cant wear one for medical reasons. One of the creepy employees there followed my sister around demanding she put on a mask, when she was not anywhere near anyone else. We wont be coming back as long as this keeps goes on. The county mask mandate has been lifted for some time now, so why are we still forced to wear masks?
Closed on Sundays but definitely worth returning
Great library. They provide a lot of different service and the librarians are always willing to help. They have programs for children. Beautiful building and very comfortable.
This is a public area so you should not have to wear a mask and there are a bunch of Karens coming around making sure you have a mask on, books are good and they have a lot but they should not enforce masks.
The library staff are Karens that forced me to wear a mask even though the library is funded by taxpayers and is public property.
I Love our library! They just did a big remodel which expanded it quite a bit, so it’s even nicer now!I’ve been goin’ there for 10+ years now... so it’s one of my favorite places... I love books...I miss all of the old employee’s who used to work here... they all have mostly retired :(
Good place to get books and movies
I love our local library. They have lots of activities and art, computers, fax machines, copy machines, resources, and great book selection. Super friendly staff. One of my favorite things is the story time the hose Suzanne reads books, dose dances, and art with toddlers and their parents at 11 am every Tuesday. Such a friendly staff and wonderful community program!!!
Good selection of books and movies. Wasted half my night though by first running around trying to find the books I had returned. Then I was told my library card expired and that I needed to go talk to the lady in the middle. Then she tells me the card I have used since day one was only under my wifes name and that she had to come in. Why make it so hard to utilize your services? I just wanted to borrow a few books not apply for a loan...
Karen the face mask enforcer keeps making me wear a mask at this public area that happens to be funded by our taxpayer dollars.
Nicely appointed. The lady who runs the computer desk on the second floor appears to have gone mad with power. The other staff fear her, and she treats the guests with a distant and bureaucratic cruelty that was embarrassing to witness.WiFi speeds are mediocre - worse than at the much smaller, friendlier Priest River branch a few miles away.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. A wonderful youth program. We love our library.
Love this place. Good selection, fabulous people. Used to volunteer here, I did. Always a good experience. Read a lot of things through here. Still watch the DVDs pretty regularly.
Helpful staff... Lots of books
Was forced to wear a mask even though this is funded by taxpayer dollars.
We are visiting from Texas and needed a place to print out some documents. We were able to get a free temporary pass and get done what we needed. Great library and resource thats available. This community should be proud of this facility and the staff you have there.
Wonderful place!
This is a great place to get about any resource you need. Very up to date with technology. You can go use the VR setup they have there. Has great teen and childrens programs.
The staff was very helpful in helping me use the Digital Newspaper Archives. I found two obituaries, although I had expected to find only one, that I needed. Im extremely happy. Wonderful experience!
Good selection of books, good atmosphere. The blond woman at the Information Desk is not as nice as she once was, seems to think a lot of herself instead of the patrons. Her attitude could be improved on.
This library and its staff are simply superb. Libraries in the many states I have lived in and visited, no matter how large, may have had more books, but their staff have never surpassed the friendliness, helpfulness, courtesy, and knowledge of ours. They get an A+ from this avid reader.
Very good selection of books, and if they dont have what you need you can order. Friendly staff. Helpful. Great place to spend a rainy afternoon.
Great library, especially in a town our size. Staff is friendly and helpful. So many services available for free even if you never walk in the doors.
Nice library but please, stop the ridiculous mask mandate!
Awesome
I wanted to thank Morgan and the library for hosting the overnighter nerf game at the library for the teens. Our grand daughter went and had a blast. Sad to hear Morgan is leaving the library.(she said he was absolutely amazing! I also hope the game will continue in his absence. I think it also would be fun to have one in the winter when the kids start to get cabin fever! Thanks again for the fun night!
Amazing library for the size of Sandpoint - great staff and incredible community resource!
Apparently at this library tax paying citizens are all not allowed inside unless they abide by the whims of the political moment.
Very nice library, especially for such a small town. I really appreciate the large variety of movies/tv shows and I really enjoy using the overdrive app to check out digital and audio books.
The librarys staff is friendly and helpful. I like Davids reading recommendations! The collection of movies & CDs is extensive. I love the renovation!
I am living in a foreign county right now, and besides my family, I miss my library so much. The staff is always ready to help, and do so with a great attitude. Love the East Bonner Cty Library!!
Breaking civil rights amendments wow horrible staff
Beautiful large library! They are currently undergoing a transformation, construction is making it only a tad noisey (10-8-17).All the people who work there are super friendly and helpful. Theres is also a wheel chair accessible elevator leading to 2nd floor. They host a multitude of different activities/workshops, for people of all ages! From toddler age to grown adult! To name just a few (there are many more) :- Crafternoon- Lego time- story time- pajama reading partiesAnd much more! They host some REALLY cool workshops!Very large selection of materials. If they dont have what you want, they will help you get it!They do frequent book sales as well.Live this library.
I cant even fathom why anyone would give the LIBRARY a less than stellar review given they provide so many services FOR FREE! (Ryan H leaves nothing but one-star reviews for every place hes been to, so take his review with a grain of salt). While its possible people may run into a staff person having a bad day, overall the staff is pretty awesome and more than willing to go above and beyond to help people. And again, they provide so much for FREE! Books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, ebooks, eaudiobooks, free MP3s, free streaming TVs and movies, computers, faxing, 3D printing, cheap printing and copying, free meeting rooms, all sorts of childrens programs, a teen lounge, and now a GARDEN, a VR system, tutoring, computer classes, tons of great programs...what more could you ask for??? The library is amazing and I think we are so lucky to have such a great library in a community our size! Thank you library staff for all you do!!
Very helpful. Just remodled great atmosphere
Best library Ive ever been to! Great staff, building, and books!!!
I love the people that work and volunteer there. Theyre always so nice and helpful.
One of the best public librarys ive ever been to. you can even check out video games.
Tech is mediocre and staff is hit or miss. The materials are excellent, books, DVDs cds etc. But mostly mainstream stuff, if you want unique youll have to request it.
Wasnt disturbed, able to use my own laptop, quick wifi.
This library is clean and the staff is very helpful!
Excellent library, especially for a small city, and a very friendly and helpful staff.
Awesome staff, clean, and can be fun. :)
Have known this Library and a lot of the still current staff members for over a decade, they are friendly, professional, and I swear I can barely ever catch them without a smile.
Clean, pretty big. Lots of computers. Lots of resting points for fat people.
I love this Library!
Its salright
