Ann was great with carpet selection, advising us on everything from fibers to color and wear considerations for our stairway carpeting. Ken came out to measure and made recommendations on padding and edge finishing, along with detailed information about the installation procedures his installers would be using. Jose and Armando installed our carpet today and were so, so happy with the finished product! From start to finish, we got great advice and guidance; friendly and efficient customer service; a meticulous, professional, clean installation; and in the end, a safe and beautiful stairway. We thought we wanted and needed carpets, so Ken came to our house to give us estimates. But he cared more about us, and we are in our 80s. Ken observed that we already had a nice slate floor that is safer than the carpets would be, because of changing heights from room to room. Ken is a very kind and thoughtful guy.

I visited Kens Carpets & Flooring about 10 months ago to inquire about vinyl flooring for a bathroom in a family house not anywhere near the Bay Area. Ken took the time to show me the product line, describe the best choice for underlayment, helped me select a color/style, and advised me on ordering the flooring and underlayment from a local store near the job site. Very nice of Ken to spend the time helping me, knowing he wasnt selling me anything...just yet.Fast forward 8 months, my wife and I returned to Kens store to look at Karndean Design Flooring for our house in Marin County. Although we had read some mixed reviews of Karndean that made us nervous, Ken assured us that with proper installation and maintenance, the floor would be a great choice for our family. The floor was installed last week by Marcelo and his son, who are professional and highly skilled at their craft. The floor looks terrific, and we are thrilled with the choice. Tried to put new carpet In our house including stairs with a binder on the carpet so that 4 inches of wood showed on either side going down the stairs. Well the people in the big box store were helpful but they could not do the stairs with binding. I went to Ken’s Carpet, got excellent advice on the type and color of carpet from Ken himself and there was no problem with binding the carpet on the stairs. The three installers arrived on time, were very competent. The stairs look beautiful plus the price was very fair. Ken’s Carpet did all of this during Covid with the health restrictions permitting essential business. I would definitely use Ken’s Carpet again.❗️

We purchased carpet from Kens for the third time in July, 2020. As with our previous two purchases, our recent experience left us very impressed with Kens Carpets. Our first two purchases/installations were completely easy and unremarkable (in the best possible way!) Our most recent order initially had a small hiccup, through no fault of Kens. If you are in the market for new carpeting, I recommend contacting Kens Carpets and Flooring in San Rafael. Ken has decades of experience in the industry, and it shows. My wife and I bought our first home last month, and neither of us had ever purchased carpet before. When we walked into the showroom, Ken gave us a primer on the types of carpet that are out there and the pros/cons of each one. After the Carpets for Beginners class, he actually spent time figuring out what we really needed, based on how wed be using the carpet. He came to our house, took measurements himself, prepared a quote, and had everything ready to go exactly on schedule. We had to coordinate carpet installation with a number of other home improvements, and Kens punctuality made that much easier. But it was the in-home services was where we felt Kens Carpets really stood out. They removed the old carpet without a single scratch to the baseboards or newly-painted walls. And installation of the new carpet was FLAWLESS, especially on the staircase, where the three bottom stairs were rounded. All in all, an excellent experience and we are very happy with the new carpet- which is a good thing, since Im sitting on the carpet right now, trying to figure out which couch we should buy to go with it!

KENS CARPETS AND FLOORINGI called this company to get an estimate since I just found out that KARNDEAN LVP is one of the best LVP brand. So I went ahead searched online the closest retailer for this brand and reach out to this company. Spoke with Luke regarding what Im looking for, he asked me for my address and informed me that they dont service Concord or East Bay area. I asked him if I could purchase the flooring and I will hire someone to install and he said yes. Then he went about stating that they are premier provider for Karndean and will get back to me with an estimate just for the flooring itself. 6 days later and not heard from him or anyone at his company. I sent him a copy of an estimate from a different company just to get the correct square footage of the house. Disappointing!! Dont worry contacting me now.... Im no longer interested dealing with your company. Most companies will try to reach out after the fact, when you give them negative reviews.
