I used to go to this Karate institution when I was little, there was an instructor who was verbally abusive towards me. The instructor was a female and she treated differently as the other kids. The reason why I went to this Karate institution was to have a better understanding of my emotions and body, but this institution has caused discomfort for me as an adult. It has been 15 years, and I know I should forget about the past, but this pandemic has been bringing back some traumatic memories of childhood. Things properly have changed, but I will never forget on how I was treated by this institution.
I have been coming to this dojo since I was 6 years old, the instructors are skilled and attentive. I cant see myself learning martial arts anywhere else .
Useless, showboating martial arts instruction with no emphasis on practical application, and an arrogant and self-absorbed ownership and cadre focused on simply making money. Went here for years. It wasnt until trying another karate school in San Rafael that I realized how disillusioned I was by East-West, how much time and money I wasted, how poor and useless their program was, and how subversively disdainful, dishonest, and hypocritical their owners and instructors were.
Great martial arts style and instructor staff.
Great program, personal attention and excellent structure of children
