Hot Springs Spas aren’t inexpensive yet they deliver. I have had three (we moved twice; have never had significant problems). All from Creative Energy. Service is tops. If you are looking for a spa and are fortunate enough to afford it-go for it.PS. Spa efficiency does reduce energy costs after purchase

MINUS ZERO STARS. Creative Energy has been nothing but a disappointment. The turnover of repair personnel and their sheer INCOMPETENCE cost me over $4000 for an endless chain of problems. Management refused to intervene and was less helpful than the hack technicians they sent to repair my Hot Springs hot tub over five costly visits.DO NOT USE CREATIVE ENERGY!! They are DISHONEST AND INCOMPETENT!!!! My next step would have been small claims court - spare yourself the agony.

We love Creative Energy! Cole and Will in San Rafael store truly went above and beyond for us trying to secure a hot tub faster than the usual timeline. We looked around Marin and online at a few different stores and kept hearing the same thing, hot tubs are hard to find right now. Maybe we could get one in 40-60 weeks! Then a hot tub surfaced that was ordered by someone else and they changed their minds, Cole and Will pounced on it for us and a few days later it was sitting in our yard. The whole experience from purchase, to site visit, to delivery was top notch and we have a complicated access to backyard! Cole also connected us with an incredible electrician, James at Rock Solid Electrical. The whole family is loving our new prodigy, soaking in it daily!

During the pandemic it seemed virtually impossible to get a swim spa from anyone anywhere to be delivered in less than a year’s time. Nonetheless I challenged Cole at the San Rafael store to find one fore me. Despite the nationwide shortage of available swim spas and pandemic related supply issues, Cole was able to find and Endless Pool e2000 within several weeks. The owner of the store stopped by my house to make sure it could be moved in properly, Doris graciously adjusted the installation schedule to fit my slab pouring operation. Cole recommended an electrician, Millennium Electric who did a superb job at site electrical hook-up preparation and within 60 days my swim spa was installed. At first, there seemed to be an issue with the swim spa but within one day, the senior technician Dave, came out to my house and when he left the spa work perfectly. I also had a fireplace insert installed within the last year I purchased from Creative Energy and it works beautifully. I highly recommend the San Rafael store.

I have purchased three Spa Tubs from Creative Energy in Marin over the last 25 years. Always helpful & friendly service with Creative Energin Marin!

I’m quite displeased with the fireplace ordered from Creative Energy a year ago. Black tar substance lines collect on the glass and make the fireplace appear dirty and old. I had the fireplace glass cleaned by a Creative Energy representative and was charged $160 and told it would happen again because it’s condensation. Less than a month later, the black tar lines have reappeared. I find it astounding that none of the same fireplaces at Creative Energy show the same marks and wish we had selected a different gas fireplace.

The other day I went to this showroom and I was impressed by the products and customer service. I am from Brazil where hot tubs and fireplaces are not that common... so I came with a thousand questions and Cole helped me out. He is great, he knows the products and explained everything to me! I had the chance to try one of the hot tubs and this is definitely something we all should have at home. It’s just so relaxing after a work day. Easy to use, cool lights and I really loved the jets! If you’re looking for great products, great assistance and customer service, this is the place! Oh, I was almost forgetting to mention that the showroom is really clean, organized and they also have a cute dog called Maggie.

We ordered our hot tub and outside fireplace in early July 2020 and was told 12 weeks delivery due to COVID. It’s been 20 weeks and they told us, it might be 28 weeks. We call at least every other week and the customer service is critically lacking. No follow up unless we phone and and go directly to the sales person. Customer service will not back. Still no delivery date.

We decided to buy a hot tub at the beginning of the covid pandemic. We first worked with Cole, and there was a lot going on but I didn’t find him very helpful, and he wasn’t very responsive especially one the sale was made. We actually had a lot of maintenue issues with our salt water tub, and it turns out a lot of the issues were because he didn’t properly educate us. After our issues I started working with a women, who I forget her name, who was AMAZING. She was patience and walked me through the steps and helped me write them out. If we’d started with her I think our experience would have been great from the start

The guys were excellent. On time, courteous, and professional.They were in and out quickly. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because they put a lid on backwards, with the warning sign facing the main entrance to the tub… Other than that great work

I have a 10 year old hot tub which I inherited from the previous owner of my home. Ive started to have a few minor problems with it. The folks at Creative Energy in San Rafael have been very helpful. Everything from maintaining the tub, to troubleshooting issues to avoid a service call. We purchased our Hot Springs Grandee a week ago. The spa itself gets five stars. Definitely!Cole, our sales guy, gets only two stars. Let me explain myself. He knows the product, very friendly and accommodating. He also was able to give us good discount. But!!! He sold us our spa and forgot about us completely. I tried to contact him via texts, calls, and emails without any success. We are having some problems with our speakers, and I have been trying to contact him asking who should I call/contact to solve our problem. He is just ignoring me. Nothing from him. This is very disrespectful mister Cole. Not following up at all. This is why he gets only two stars.Doris is amazing. She was responsible for delivery of our spa. Everything went smoothly. There were some minor issues, but she handled that well. In fact, she did her best trying to address my speakers concern. She gets five stars.Creative Energy customer service is my worst experience ever. As I mentioned, our speakers dont work. I have contacted a few people so far without any success. Couple of them called me saying not to worry because someone will help me. When I ask them specific questions about how soon it will be fixed, who will come, will they call me; nobody has an answer for me. Once again, it is very disrespectful. I understand current situation with COVID-19, but at least call me and clearly explain what is going on. Only one star to costumer service.Finally, we are very happy with our fresh water salt system Grandee spa. We are not happy though with Creative energy. Creative Energy is a terrific business. They sell high quality spas, as well as fireplace inserts. Their staff is knowledgeable and easy to interact with. They have an excellent service department. When purchasing our spa, we were able to try out a number of spas to make sure of the model and size we wanted. We would no problem referring them to a friend or family member or if we decided to purchase another spa from them in the future. In fact, we are planning to buy a gas fireplace insert in the near future. We highly recommend Creative Energy for your spa needs.

We had our fireplace converted 3 years ago. Marin had been hit with a ton of Spare the Air days, plus our toy fireplace was hard to have a decent fire in. We are so happy we made the change. Creative Energy made the whole process really easy. We recently had a minor billing issue after a service, call and I was happily surprised at how fast they responded and dealt with it, completely to our satisfaction. Cant say enough about them.

Where to begin? This awesome family-owned local company has been a fixture in Marin for so many years. Our first hot tub (1988) lasted 32 years. We were so pleased we purchased another a year ago which is so energy efficient and has many new improvements/amenities. We eliminated our wood burning fireplace insert and installed a new gas fireplace insert in December 2018. It is fabulous and Creative Energy made it happen seamlessly from sales and site check to installation. Couldn’t be more pleased or happier. I would give this company 10 stars out of 5!!

A few weeks ago the third hot tub in our life abruptly and irreparably bit the dust after many years of nightly soakings. We knew we were in for lengthy hot tub depravation when we learned of the industry-wide tub shortage because of COVID. I visited every hot tub source in the area, only to be rebuffed with the same news: no delivery for 6-10 months!! I finally came back to Creative Energy in San Rafael to meet with sales manager Cole, who’d sold us a gas fireplace insert a year ago (a complicated insert because of location, expertly finessed by Jose G, a superstar!”). I kicked myself for not returning to him sooner. He remembered us, and because we were returning customers, put our name on “his” waiting list. Short “fast forward”—We are now happy owners of a new Hot Spring Prodigy on our back deck. Cole made everything come together perfectly. We’d assumed the exchange of old and new tubs would require an $1800 crane because of our location. It turns out that the Creative Energy delivery team, headed by Alex and expertly assisted by Omar and Isaac, were able to get the complicated transfer maneuver done manually. Wow! But the story doesn’t stop there. Once the tub was in place, Cole made a personal visit to our home (10 minutes from CE) to help us set it up. His knowledge of the product is impressive! And he’s an excellent teacher! Investing in a tub is not just about getting a good product; it’s about the availability of dependable service. From concept to completion, the staff at Creative Energy were the most professional, helpful, charming, non threatening and generally amazing folks to work with I’ve ever experienced. I actually didn’t think companies like this existed any more.It was clear that removing the old tub and bringing in a new one was not going to be easy but at the site inspection, Dave and John Kasten assured me it could be done by making a hole in the basement wall and then repairing it. A scary thought, yes, but all options having been explored, there was no other way.So a friend and I went to the San Rafael office to check out the hot tubs. Cole Spillman, our delightful contact, showed us the various choices and we even got to try out several working tubs in a wonderful back room with a starlit ceiling! Totally sealed the deal! Cole explained that removal of the old tub was included in the price as were several cool extras I had not anticipated.After a little wavering and back and forthing on my part, (that hole in the wall thing was alarming to say the least) a decision was made, a tub chosen and a date set for removal of old tub, demolition of the wall, delivery of a brand new cute little “Jet Setter” tub and wall repair, all of which was accomplished by Alex and his crew in remarkably short order with surprisingly little mess. Never have I experienced such unfailingly polite, competent, engaging guys ever.So… the tub is in, the wall is fixed and I am one happy lady. If you are looking for a hot tub, look no farther than Creative Energy and their Hot Springs line of tubs. Phone calls are returned, appointments are kept, the staff are incredibly nice and the product they sell is simply the best. As a matter of fact, they were recommended to me by the man who for 18 years kept my old tub running til it finally failed. He did say that he hardly EVER had to work on one of the Creative Energy hot tubs. That was good enough for me!

David Kirley was our repairman from Creative Energy and he was excellent. Friendly, businesslike, expert - he took a look at our 14 year spa and told me what options I had to repair and maintain it in its good condition for its age. We went into the spa this morning with its new jets, diverter, and ozonator - its almost like new! Thank you David, youre the best!

Had our Hot Springs Envoy delivered on 8/21. I think Logistics is the hardest thing to deal with, but owner, John Kasten simplifies the process of the unknown. He came to the house, looking at the backyard location and seeing how/where the best place to set up the hot tub. And in addition to that, John recommended both concrete (Chico) and electrician (Lonnie) to get all the required prep work done. He also gave the reassurance that these two guys would deliver on their work and be able to handle our unique requirements of lifting the gate for delivery and finding the best/cheapest way to run the 220 line to the tub. And in the showroom, Bonnee Young was very patient and informative about the pluses and minuses about each tub as it compared to our needs. She was very low key and we appreciated the non tech hot tub info on swim trunk washing and the parenting side of knowing the kids would be without their electronics while in the tub. We ended up choosing the Envoy, which was one of the biggest units. Although there were several that were smaller and cheaper, we figured we get more family time in if there were more captain style chairs available to use at the same time. Delivery was an experience to watch, as the crew of 3 were able to move this massive tub into the backyard, over the deck and onto the concrete platform. Once delivered, I was informed by Customer Rep Scott Campbell that we would be able to use it right away even though he wouldnt be out to our house until the next day. He said we just needed some extra shock treatment to keep the water clear until he got there. Having never taken care of a spa or pool before, this was all foreign to me, but Scott has his care instructions that hes put together to make caring for the spa very easy. I think the best thing about buying local vs. thinking you can buy a spa from Costco, is the service side. To me its the most important buying consideration. We have had an issue with the jets not functioning properly, and their service guy, David Kirley was at our house the next day. In addition to the products that you have to buy, think the biggest concern is PGE costs. Through almost 3 months of using this almost every day, the PGE bill looks like it is $50 higher each month. Assume the costs are way down because we are only running the electricity at night when the price is cheaper. Love my tub, and look forward to going in there every night. Jaime - Albany CA
