Mike is an ABSOLUTE WIZARD!! If he comes and fixes it in 20 minutes - then you are paying for his YEARS of experience in KNOWING what to do! He is the ONLY ONE I know who actually knows how to FIX things, versus saying You need a new one to cover up their incompetence. If you want it FIXED, then Mike is your go-to guy. 50 stars - been using him for years in multiple homes.
I called Appliance Techs after my tenant reported the dryer was making a high pitched squeaking noise. The office staff was courteous and helpful in arranging an appointment with the tenant. The repair, a drive belt and pulley replacement, was completed in less than an hour. Total cost for the house call, diagnosis, parts and labor was $170 - the lowest service charge Ive experienced for any work in Marin County in a decade. I cant get a sewer line rooted for less than twice that. Ill definitely call Applicance Techs for any appliance issues in the future.
Escaping the Southern California fires I ended up with 4 animals and my 13 year old son at my mom’s in Marin. Upon my first load of laundry I discovered that the dryer wasn’t working. I was 99% sure I knew which part it was. Just for kicks I checked the first available date for Sears repair (a month!! LOL). I called ATOM, left a quick message with the model number and my idea of what the problem was. Within a 1/2 hour I got a call from Mike. He gave be a 2 hour window on the SAME DAY, arrived promptly, had the part on him and fixed the dryer in no time. Whew!! Mike even took note of my mom’s vintage oven and said that he might even have some parts for it! Above and beyond, I though. Thanks ATOM!

Im not sure how these people stay in business, my guess would be that home insurance companies contract with them. I called with a relatively simple problem: a dishwasher that wasnt running properly and a stove range with one malfunctioning igniter. It literally took weeks of back-and-forth for a repair man to finally call me, when he did he would not return my phone calls for a few days at a time. He told me to run the dishwasher and see what happened. I did, and called him back to say that as I had said, it wasnt operating correctly. After that he didnt call me back despite yet another phone message.
Disliked the invoice: $ 176.68 for a 20 minute visit that include replacement of two small cheap parts isquite high.Wont use them again.
