Good place for live, but for the price you pay the costumer service should be better. I have many things to write about issues, BUT for the moment i will say only that the office number NEVER answer.

I came for a tour interview and they never showed up. The online process didnt go through. I arranged my schedule and spent the time to come over. I run a company and have no time to waste. As a business owner I value communication to avoid misunderstandings. So I gave them 24 h to explain...The following day a guy named Matt call me back saying it was a technical issue and assured me he contacted the team to make sure this wouldnt happen again.Guess what? I CAME A SECOND TIME, and same sh... Obviously I am not coming back as I am having a clear idea of how incompetent they are. I am happy they saved me future troubles. Be aware!!

Good place for live but when you have a problem (all places sometime will have one) they are hard to solve it. They prefer make a new lease for new people instead of negotiate with an old resident

I am a travel RN and I recommended this place to my agency because of its reputation. My move out date is 10/19/2020. The air-conditioner thermostat started to read Battery Critical on Wednesday 10/14/2020. The weather has been in the 90s the central air is not working because the thermostat is not working I have called and texted over 4 times to fix it no response my last text sent today 10/16/2020 no response. Most places I have ever lived the air-conditioning being off in 90+ degree weather is an emergency. Maybe they thought since I am moving out no need to fix it. I still have a few shifts left I work nights so imagine trying to sleep in a hot apartment during the day. I will be sending this message out to my travel nurse websites to stay clear of this place. Will take pic of thermostat today for proof of issue and send to my agency as well. What a way to treat your residents STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE

Highlands of Marin meets beyond my expectations! When I was thinking about moving here, I had no idea about the beautiful Marin views in the mornings and the evenings. I get to see deer during sunrise, and the city feel, from afar, at nightime. Although price was a bit of a turn off, this place brings me peace, and I now think its totally worth it. I use the gym (that has an automatic water bottle filler! forget drinking faucets, lol) and the very clean salt water pool as well as the regular pool.Above all, I love how friendly and welcoming the staff is! They have been amazing since day 1. I still go to the office often, and just having that relationship with them is really handy. Theyre locals, so many give recommendations to do around San Rafael, San Francisco, all bay area. Andrew and Omar were really helpful for guiding me through the leasing process, and getting settled in- I worked particularly with Andrew and he was very well versed about the leasing process, and he answered all my questions. Shohreh and Tee also have been kind and professional to me throughout my six months here. Theyve been at HOM a while, and I can tell that theyre passionate about making their tenants feel welcome. Maintenance team rocks too! Chris, Steven, and Roberto are always busy making sure everything is great. Theyll quickly fix things too, like my washer wasnt working, so they completely switched the washer, while they worked out what was wrong, so I could continue doing my laundry.Can you tell I love living here? lol. When I saw the other few google reviews, I was surprised that people have had negative experience here. They were from like 7 years ago though. Id say this team completely turned it around. Great job HOM, keep it up!

This is an amazing place to live! The amenities are top-notch, and the view is absolutely gorgeous. The service manager is also stellar. Both Steven and Christian are very swift and professional. The last two times I submitted a service request, Steven responded and completed them on the same day within a couple hours or less. I will definitely be renewing my lease here!

Ever since I moved into my new apartment last April, Ive had nothing but great experiences and interactions with the highlands community and staff. The apartments are well kept and outfitted with new appliances and interior, with up to date features like the smart home thermostat. The staff is fantastic with their prompt ability to tackle issues and fast and capable maintenance team. I am definitely happy with the move that I made.

I have toured this property and by far the best place Ive seen in Marin... it has the best view of mount Tam, 2 pools and hot tub, dog park that comes with dog washing station. My favorite part is how welcoming the team is... everyone is happy and ready to help. Working with Tee and her team to find my new hope was effortless.... I cant wait until I move in and be part of the community. Thank you!

Stay away!I applied for an apartment through their website. I paid $400 deposit and $51.33 application fee. It turns out that the posting was false. They acknowledged that it was posted by mistake. It took me more than 2 months to get my money back, and they did not reimburse $51.33 application fee, even though it was 100% mistake from their side. Basically, I paid for something that did not even exist.

This is an impressive property- it’s huge and very well cared for. The staff is always very helpful and the maintenance staff goes the extra mile to take care of anything that comes up- Roberto has always politely helped us when needed over the phone or sending someone from maintenance to look after the property. I specially love all the amenities for pets (like the park and dog bathing room)

Highlands of Marin has been an oasis while I look for a new home. Cozy apartment. Quiet and safe . A very positive experience for me. Wonderful staff. Fantastic gym and pool. Id recommend this to anyone. Being pet friendly has been a joy. I dont have a pet but my daughters dog visits and loves it.

Highlands of Marin is a beautiful community. The management staff (TEE) was very professional and warm energy I really felt at ease . The amenities such as the gym, pool, maintenance were phenomenal. And not to mention they are pet friendly!!! The mountain view was breathtaking to say the least. Overall, Highlands of Marin was amazing and I cannot wait to call it my home.

Nice place, nice part of Marin... BUT they will rip you off, raise you rent and overcharge / double charge you every chance they get. No help from their office. Theyre hardly in the office, you can call all you want but no one will return a call.

Ive been living here for 8 months and absolutely love it! The appliances, carpet, and paint are all top-notch. I saw a bug in my apartment for the very first time last night which is incredible to me considering other places Ive lived where ants or spiders are considered your roommates.-The maintenance staff is very quick and accommodating.-The location is great and super close to the freeway without having any freeway noise. -The amenities including the gym and pools are well maintained.-I dont know about other buildings but at least in my building, its always very quiet and people are respectful about not blaring music or using their dryer at 2 am.-All of the staff are really friendly and helpfulAs a young, professional woman I feel safe and at home. Its well worth the price and everyone who comes to my place agrees that its a clean, beautiful sanctuary.

I couldn’t be happier. The place is very well maintained. My boyfriend and I moved in about a month ago and Andrew helped us move our boxes. He was so helpful and we appreciate it. There are deer, wild turkey and beautiful birds around that come out. The view is stunning and we are very close to a beautiful park with hiking, biking, skating, etc.

A wonderful refuge from the hustle and bustle of life! The staff is exemplary. The maintenance staff is very responsive! We love living here and thoroughly enjoy the pool and gym throughout the seasons. I would highly recommend living here.

Having had plenty of mixed experiences with other apartment leasing offices, I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and integrity of the staff here. I had a great experience with Shohreh in particular who showed me around and answered all my questions thoroughly. Extremely well run establishment - I cant say enough positive things!

We had been looking for a 2 bedroom apt to move into for about 2 months and had been extremely dissatisfied with every property managements except for the Highlands! It only took 5 minutes with Omar, a personable professional, to find exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of space, extra room, and the view! Overall my living experience here was great. Tends to be a quiet community, with nice pools and fitness room. I couldnt keep up with the increasing rent from year to year, but that was pretty much a trend for the area. Anytime anything went wrong in the apartment, Steven from the Maintenance/Service team was always awesome and quick to respond. The guy would go out of his way to go above and beyond, and be sure to leave the place better than he found it! Truly made you feel like you were living near family.

I lived at Marin Highlands for over 4 years. I’ve rented at a lot of apartments but the highlands have the BEST maintenance guys. Steven was always available when I needed something fixed or even if I just needed help getting a tough nail out of the wall! Highlands should hire more staff like him, always friendly and helpful.

Highlands of Marins community was an extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful community. Tee took her time to make sure that I had the home I wanted as well as needed. By her being empathetic to my needs, I felt as if we had connected, building a working relationship I could trust. I could see myself actually living in a community such as this.

Came here to check out a 1 bedroom apartment and Omar from the leasing team gave me a tour and while the prices were a little out of my range, the rooms were beautiful and Omar was very patient and professional. This community also has a maintenance staff and Omar introduced to his younger brother Fredy who is a very pleasant young man. Overall I got very good vibes from this community.

Highlands of Marin is an awesome place. Gym is nice and big, my apartment is updated and has a cool view of Mt. Tam. Shohreh is always so friendly since the moment Ive moved in the staff constantly checks to make sure I am taken care of. Ive lived here for almost year and Ill definitely be staying for longer.

Ive been a resident here for just over 2 years and have enjoyed every bit of it. The service here has always been great. Everytime I need something done or fixed they have always been there to get the job done. I expecially want to mention Chris, one of the best service tech and Andrew one of the best leasing consultants for doing such a good job. Highlands of Marin is probably the best you could get in San Rafael for the price. The apartment complex is clean, safe, and full of great amenities. This includes its own small dog park, over two pools and jacuzzis, and its own gym. Because it is on top of of a hill, it is always safe and offers some great views of the San Rafael area.The employees have always been helpful and efficient. If you want a tour of the complex or and individual complex, Id ask for Andrew. If you wanted any work done for your apartment in specific, Chris is my go to guy. The employees in the main office are also accommodating.There is also a fantastic movie theater right across the street that shows indie movies you wont be able to see anywhere else and a Safeway close by. The Northgate Mall is also very close by. Highlands of Marin is the best choice in San Rafael for an all around apartment with some luxury amenities included.

I recently moved to the bay area. I visited my family who lives here at Highlands of Marin. I have to say that from the grounds to the ameneties to the service team, everything was just fantastic. My family tells me all the good things about the office staff in particular they mentioned Andrew and how he made their move in so quick and headache free. The service tech that i happened to meet there was Chris, he had such a great smile and attitude while fixing an issue that wasnt so pleasant looking. I am already looking to move out from my current location and will be looking forward to setting up a tour here to look at possibly moving here.

I was a guest at my friend’s house at the Highlands of Marin. Unfortunately, when I was there one of the sinks happened to get clogged. We called maintenance and within ten minutes the maintenance worker Chris arrived, the problem was quickly fixed. Chris and Andrew were very friendly and knowledgeable!

Living at Highlands of Marin has been nothing but amazing so far. Fredy on the maintenance side makes sure the amenities and the community overall are always well maintained, not to mention the views from here are just breathtaking and to die for. The office team is very friendly and helpful, Tee, Shohreh, and Omar made the move in process very easy. If you don’t want to take my word for it book yourself an appointment to come check it out for yourself. Definitely recommend this amazing community for anyone looking for a place to call home

Highlands of Marin has everything we were looking for in an apartment. Expect to pay a little more than your “rent” price though. They add in water, sewer, trash, and parking which some vary in cost. Everything in the apartment is updated and really nice too. Omar and the others were very helpful and patient with my move in experience. Maintenence responds to requests within a day. Finally an apartment that feels like home!

This us the worst complex I have ever lived in. Please stay away. They will take your deposit, and when you leave the apartment CLEANER than it was when you moved in, they will still charge you more. I can only say one nice thing about this complex, and that is about Shohre Vargas. She is super sweet, and tries to help in any way that she can. Whatever you do, dont rent here! I would give it a negative rating if I could.

Ive lived in many places and I have never met such a friendly office team. Shohreh is awesome, since the day I moved in she has always been super friendly, always willing to help and she is so caring. She is not only an office member but I consider her one of my good friends. Shohreh is one of the reasons that I decided to renew. Steven, Chris, Omar, Roberto and Andrew are all awesome too, they make my experience here better than any other apartment community that I have. I love living here!

I rented 925 crestsa way #4. Itll be available April 20. Its a 1bd. Clean and modern, 1 minute to 101, top of the hill, turkeys in spring in the forest, deer in fall. The gym is what sold me plus the team are first class service.

We have lived here for over 6 months now and had read the reviews and recognized certain risks/poor reviews coming in. I am now regretting that risk. While the apartment is nice and the onsite maintenance guys are friendly, senior management and facility maintenance leaves much to be desired. Anticipate at least an additional $150-$200 monthly on top of your rent and PG&E utilities for water, trash, and energy even through they cant explain the difference in energy and the PG&E bill you pay. We have been inquiring about this ever increasing bill for months with no resolution and clear answer. The hot tubs were broken for over 3 months this summer with continual excuses as to why. They do nothing to enforce parking, despite making you pay for unreserved and more for reserved. They claim to have onsite security, but whoever that is constantly lets people illegally park in handicap spots and firelanes and there are constant complaints in the community forum about missing packages. They also dont seem to do anything to prevent or remove grills illegally and unsafely on balconies, despite city ordinances and a recent fire response. O, and we are going on two weeks with an uninsulated hole in the ceiling from a roof leak. But you know, the dog park is nice, and finding a pet friendly place in Marin is tough. The gym is also nice when bros arent blasting their music so loud noise cancelling headphones fail.

Security is a joke, they never arrive when you call them, besides they respond in a very rude manner. Community rules are violated. Non-residents constantly occupy comunity pool.

I just would like too say man o man the maintenance team is super quick and professional!!!!!!! Steven will do what ever it takes to get the job done!! A+++++

Not sure why people rate this place so high. Does the bad thing just happen to me? Having stayed here for 4 months I am ready to move out. Parking is next to impossible; rental rates are high with small rooms; hallway lights only work a couple of days a week, never got fixed; little to zero service. My online ordered stuff got delivered to the rental office a month ago, nobody bothered to inform me. Isnt that great?!

Ive lived here for over 2 years. I would not recommend it. The staff turnover rate is astounding.a hey told me one thing to get me to sign a lease then it was completeky the opposite after I moved in. They dont tell the truth. Period! Like all big corporations I guess, this one is only concerned with the bottom line and will tell the tenants whatever they want to hear to keep them until they raise the rent $300 at renewal times. There have been numerous break-ins both to the gym and onto the balconies to steal bikes etc. Security is a joke as they only do drive bys!The quality of construction is poor at best. The roofs leak when it rains. You can almost hear the upstairs neighbor breathe the floors are so thin.One good thing is the wildlife that surrounds this complex. Wild turkeys and deer are everywhere. Birds and critters-coyotes etc. so if you are an animal lover its great.

They stole my security deposit

I was out there with my sister who lives on property over the weekend. The sink in the bathroom i was staying in had a clog in the sink. We made a request for it to be fixed. I was expecting from my experience in previous apartments for temhem to come sometime during the weekday. To my suprise they came WITHIN 15 min !!!!!! I was so suprised!! My apartment complex where i live at seemed fast to me but this propertys respond time was mind blowing. They came and they worked their magic and was in and out in 10 min like they already knew the problem. I would recommend this place Easily if that the type of service that is provided here.

HOM has been our home for more than 2 years now and the experience has just been amazing. Great neigbors, reactive and efficient maintenance technicians that you can contact through a web based request service. The views on the China camp state park and the green landscapes of Marin county cant get old. 101 is only a minute away and my commute to the east bay is counter flow ! The pool and amenities are always well maintained and the furnitures are renewed on a regular basis. The leasing office team has always been very helpful and fast responding. Always working with us to find a solution (special thanks to tee, shohreh, Andrew, Omar, Roberto Chris and the other team members).

(Internet tough/won’t say it to your face)My girlfriend and I have lived here for almost 2 years and it’s been absolutely amazing. The grounds are always clean and the hot tub is hot (saltwater hot tub) epic.Anytime I have needed anything, may it be a lightbulb for my freezer or any minor fix, you can’t count on it that it’ll be handled.The office staff is awesome and are seriously there to help you. The maintenance guys are awesome. You will see them cruising around in the golf carts all day, everyday.Steve, Chris and Fredy. I actually look forward to “finding them” when I see their cart outside our building. Always nice to see them and say hi.These dudes work their asses off so if you don’t get the work done on your Marin clock just be a little patient.This isn’t the dmv and you’re not ordering a pizza. It’s first come first serve. I promise they WILL take care of you.The office staff is awesome and are open to any suggestions you may have that’ll make the place better.Shohreh and Tee will welcome you BY NAME and with a smile.I am in a similar business dealing with some “difficult” Marinites with whom demand some sometimes unrealistic expectations. They have it down here.If you move here you will not regret it.Is it cheap? No.Do you get what you pay for? Yes.I would rather spend a few hundred dollars to live in a place like this than some other place that isn’t half as nice as this spot!

The apartment itself was very nice quality (3rd floor). The bath and shower pressure was decent. The apartment was very clean with a well laid out floor plan.The refrigerator in the suite had a 1.5 inch opening in the magnetic sealingof part of the door, I had to jerry rig something as I was only going be in the place for a few months and wasnt feeling up to dealing with the tree huggers.There was quite a bit of construction going on while I was there, so parking totally SUCKED. You have to pay extra to park under the apartment complex where the only assigned parking was. The rest of us had to hunt for a place upon each return home, not too cool. Managers and office staff seemed like goofy tree hugger types.

I stayed here for a few months. There was also a childrens playground, and the environment and scenery were good.

The school environment is beautiful, the teachers are very dedicated and professional, the teaching facilities are perfect, and the education system is scientific and reasonable. I especially recommend Wendys class, she is perfect!!! She teaches Grammars and pronunciation
