I have had an extremely positive experience being a Foster Pawrent for San Francisco Samoyed Rescue. I am a Samoyed dog owner and have been Sams (dog on right) foster pawrent since July 2020.Before I officially became Sams foster, the rescue was upfront with all expectations of what it would take to be a foster for Sam. Sam came with pre-existing health conditions and was also attacked by two other dogs; he had a lot of issues that required more attention and many doctor visits. After working with this Rescue for the last 12 months, it is evident that every dog they rescue always receives the best of care . Jayne and the SF Samoyed Rescue have always put their dogs first amongst anything else.
Do not put your money in this place ever. They will take dogs away from you that you love and adore and never put them in proper housing. All they want is money, they do not care about dogs. I advise you take your time and your money away from this organization.
Absolutely disappointed in this place. Jayne is insanely unprofessional & lies to the foster families & people trying to adopt these precious dogs. These dogs deserve better than someone who prioritizes money over who these pups connect with & love.
They like to take dogs away from eligible foster families to adopt them out to vendors that give them donations. Super unfair and bias. It seems to me that they do not care about the well being of the dogs. They also like to lie and say a dog was adopted out and never was. I’d advice you to go look elsewhere for a new pup.
They are just straight up lairs and deceitful people. it’s a shame you see a lot of this in these types of “rescues” sick and tired of it. the responses they’ve been sending out are blatant lies to make themselves look good.
I am absolutely APPALLED by this organization. They stole a dog under false pretenses, and im surprised that they are still in operation. Absolutely Shameful. You should be ashamed, Jayne.
San Francisco Samoyed Rescue is an amazing, and caring group of people. They not only save the lives of Samoyeds in shelters, they have also taken in countless Samoyeds that were in such terrible physical and behavioral condition that few rescues would ever consider helping them. Unlike most rescues, SFSR will do whatever it takes to treat all medical problems, and provide safe, happy foster homes until the perfect Furever Home is found.
I had an awesome experience with San Francisco Samoyed rescue!! Absolutely the best.
This place is horrible and will only give dogs to the highest bidder and not to people with love in their hearts and families who will take care of them.
We adopted a dog from SFSR in 2017 and it was a smooth and thoughtful experience. They had someone come to our house to check on the appropriateness of our house and yard, and made sure that our dog was compatible with potential adoptees. We met with 3 different dogs before deciding on the most compatible, Sugar. Were glad we made the choice and were very happy with Sugar!
Fast service. super busy!!! Lots and lots of options
This nonprofit has been rescuing Samoyed dogs in the Northern California since 1974, so its no wonder that they are true professionals. Ive had nothing but positive experiences with them, ever since I got involved a couple of years ago to help with dog hospice for two elder dogs that they rescued. They are true people of integrity who have the dogs interest in mind above and beyond all else. I highly recommend adopting from them.
