The best and most honest mechanic in The Bay Area peninsula! My old 2001 Honda Civic was over heating. The first mechanic I took it to said it was a cracked radiator. So I got that replaced. But then my car was STILL overheating! Turns out it was a thermostat problem and hoses. So Joe fixed it no problem and did it in within a couple of hours. He is so honest while other mechanics will charge you and arm and a leg and not even fix the real problem!Thank you, Joe! I am a customer for life now!

I cant say enough about Metric Tech. Joe is an honest, reliable and knowledgeable mechanic. He goes above and beyond. I use to only take my car to the BMW dealership, but have stopped doing so and even canceled my extended warranty. Why pay so much when you can get the same level of service from Metric Tech. Joe does everything the BMW dealership would and also returns your car completely spotless. Even though I live in San Francisco, I will happily drive my car to San Mateo to be serviced by Joe. I know he will do a wonderful job and will take good care of it. I have referred my parents and other friends to Joe and they have all had the same experience. Joe is one of the nicest guys youll ever meet and not only will you be happy with the service at Metric Tech, but so will your friends, family.

Ive always hated taking my car to auto shops because I dont know whether I can trust what the mechanic is telling me, but I finally found someone who is honest and that I can trust completely.  Joe at Metric Tech is that guy.  Hes very knowledgeable, transparent, provides very fair pricing, and does high quality work. You can tell that Joe takes pride and pleasure in his work. I would highly recommend Joe for all of your BMW needs! You will be glad you did!

Amazing job!!I took my 2017 Pacifica minivan to Metric Tech with some aftermarket brake parts (rotors, calipers, and pads) thinking that it would be a simple matter of just dropping them in (Powerstop said they were built to OE specs!). Turns out it was a much harder job than I thought and despite the difficulty, Joe did an absolutely amazing job adjusting what needed adjusting, spending more time than I deserved on it, and then refused to charge me for that extra time. An honest mechanic is hard to find in my experience, so you better believe Ill be back here for ALL of my automotive needs. Not only is Joe skilled as a mechanic, hes an amazingly nice person. Win-Win!

Joe is the best! Wonderful set up for his customers to relax or work. The shop itself is pleasant, but of course, the service provided is top notch. Joe is very honest and his quality of work is impressive. I highly recommend this place, especially for women who fear the typical hassles of a repair shop-- Ive never experienced that here

I took my car to have a tune up which I was under the impression it needed. The friendly mechanic took my car in about an hour later I received a message informing me that I didnt need a tune-up at all. I only needed to replace a hose that was broken.Its good to know that there are still real mechanics out there and not just some kid with a wrench playing shop for the summer.
