I was going on a road trip and had my local mechanic do a once over. He did a couple fixes and said I was good to go. 1.5 hrs into my trip my car started having serious issues. I brought it to Bo Jonssons and he went through the car and found every issue my normal mechanic missed and found a way to bypass a part and save me $1,000. He explained everything and taught me things about my car I didnt know. He also had me bring it back again before I went back to my road trip to top off all fluids and check everything again for free. I wished I lived local so I could make this my permanent mechanic
Awesome mechanic. Patric takes the time to explain everything thats going on with your car. They installed a new engine in my Volvo last week and its been running great. Ill miss going here for service now that I moved out of town.
Patrick is an extremely nice and helpful person; Im incredibly thankful for his kind service.
Jonsson’s is fair and honest. I highly recommend them. Patric is the owner and Pete was my mechanic. Don’t go to Peter Pan BMW service because they will rip you off. Go to Jonsson’sI had a convertible problem on my 2009 BMW convertible top. BMW quoted me $2614.26 (see photos) and Bo Jonsson charged me essentially $150. They are honest and did a great job. See attached photos of the quotes and problem. BMW tried to gouge me for sure.I said his price was essentially $150 because I only had a problem with the right side and asked them to replace the left side as it would wear out soon. So total for both sides was $298.57Here’s the detail. The inside of my c pillar is covered with a cosmetic trim piece. It closes and opens as the top goes up and down. There is a cable that attaches to the trim piece and routes to a spring anchor location in the trunk. That cable got stretched and the trim piece did not close correctly. See photos.I took it to Patric at Bo Jonsson and he said an estimate of 2 hrs but he would only charge me for the actual time. I took it to BMW after that and explained in detail to the service manager and showed him the cable replacement. Then he responded by saying that the whole rail trim piece with cables would have to be replaced. I tried to explain that it didn’t make sense but all he did was repeat himself. Quote was $2616.14. Attempted rip off failed as I went to Jonsson’s!I took it to Bo Jonsson the next day and watched the mechanic Pete repair it. He did both sides at 1.75 hrs which was less than the 2 hrs Patric quoted!
Patric is a great guy and an honest mechanic.
Scheduled a car inspection several days ago. I actually double checked the date and time before the day. I called them this morning before my appointment. The man told me that my appointment was not on the list and I had to reschedule. No sorry, no apology! I’m not sure if they are good businessmen who you want to deal with.
Affordable service. Patt was so professional and he fixed my brakes for 60% of what volvo service center quote.
Pat is the best! Hes worked on and maintained our Mercedes and Porsche for years. Clean shop, professional business.
Great experience. Pat is trustworthy, transparent, and knowledgeable. They did great work and have very fair prices. If I need work done again I’ll definitely come back!
Think the mechanic is ripping people off with suggestions to buy cars from people as though its a great deal only soon after spending too much money they break down and you end up taking it to him to fix at a high cost.
Bo Jonssons does an amazing job in customer service. They were incredibly helpful and patient with my needs. When my car broke down, they gave me a thorough explanation of the cause of the incident, the costs to repair, and a recommendation for what I should do. As someone who isnt very knowledgeable about cars, I really appreciated the attention and explanation they gave me! If you experience unforeseen car trouble in the area, 100% recommend heading to Bo Jonssons if you want to experience the best customer service and trusted auto repair advice! Thank you so much!!!
Had detailed report from this shop hours after receiving my car. Was in disbelief about oil and water pump leaks. Patric asked me to see for myself. He spent almost 2hrs showing, explaining and drawing diagram for me and my mobile mechanic. Wow what great attention detail, organization and quality information. I am very pleased.I look forward to the game plan to make my car great again! And I know Patric can make it happen. Thank you!
FANTASTIC SERVICE from Patric. I have been coming here for a little while now, and found myself needing an axle replaced on my XV Crosstrek at 118k miles. We ended up going with a non-OEM part at my request, which started causing trouble later on. Patric helped me out a bunch in the end, so make sure you listen to him from the start!
I have had 3 different cars serviced at Bo Jonssons and each experience has been the same - EXCELLENT! Honest service for a fair price and no extra charges. Its rare to find an honest shop that does excellent work. I have recommended the shop to friends and relatives. If you need it done right the first time then stop here!!!
I have received excellent service from this shop for many years. They are honest, trustworthy and the job is always done right.
You get your moneys worth. no games. and the work is perfect. These people are very professional. Which is hard to find nowadays. I have been to many shops on the peninsula, what a joke. Many of these places will charge old people $5000 for a oil leak, on a 2 year old car. Or for a new transmission on a 2 year old car. $5000. No warranty coverage. Johnsons gararage is the place. Thank you Bo for the great work.
Patric helped me find a Subaru last spring and he did such a great job that I havent had to do any repairs yet! Im now looking for a replacement for our other car and once again Patric has been incredibly helpful. He is straightforward, honest, transparent, and most importantly -- accurate. Ive brought a few Volvo XC90s for him to inspect and he has identified specific reasons why I should pass on each car. His focus on building and maintaining long term relationships with his customer is impressive.
Pat and his team (Peter) are a real class-act and they have gone above and beyond in helping me. Thank you!
I usually dont write reviews, but in this is a special case.TL;DRPat is a rare bird in the auto service industry in that he has an honest, common sense approach and will do what is best for you, instead of trying to inflate prices or repairs. He also provides very fast service too! He literally saved me thousands of dollars in repair bills that others wanted to charge me.Full Story:I ran over something on the 101 that left a 4 inch puncture in the floor of my Mercedes. I had the insurance handle the repair and took it to their body shop- big mistake. Two days later, I find out they are are trying to disassemble THE ENTIRE VEHICLE to repair what is essentially just a hole in a non-critical area. They said that the repair would be a minimum of $12,000 and could possibly total the vehicle. The reason- they wanted to replace the entire floor pan, which is factory welded to almost every other part of the vehicle, including transmission, the dash, the frame, etc. This certainly would have created more problems than it solved. It took a week just to get my vehicle back in one piece. After calling around and talking to other body shops, they all gave some bogus line about needing to know how much the insurance was paying me to fix the vehicle so they could estimate the work. None of them gave me answers that I felt were appropriate. I called Pat because I had used his services before and was looking for advice. After explaining the situation, Pat listened to my concerns and came up with a aviation style solution in less than 1 minute that met all my requirements. Plus, Pat completed the repair in less than 24 hours!I have no connection with Pat or his shop and I am writing this review voluntarily. If this story doesnt sway you, I dont know what will.
Helpful, sincere, skilled team. Honestly one of the best garage experiences Ive had.
Had my Volvo towed here last week from San Francisco - in a pinch and needed help with a somewhat complicated job. Received the recommendation of Bo Jonssons from where I purchase my tires. I was absolutely impressed. The work was done faster than expected, high quality and competitive price. This will be my designated Volvo go-to place.
Patric Jonsson is THE kindest most ethical mechanic I have ever met.
Ive been a Saab owner for a while and a Saab enthusiast for even longer. Saabs are built like tanks and are very reliable IF properly cared for. Bo Jonssons is just the place to care for your Saab. My service tech, Patric, was meticulous in his work and listened to every one of my concerns. The attention he gave me and the attention to detail in his work is outstanding. I will certainly be coming back anytime my Saab needs service.
I brought my Volvos to this shop for the past 10+ years. They always make sure my cars are fixed/serviced in the most professional (and also economical) way. I would recommend it to any Volvo owners nearby. They should stop going to the dealership for service as soon as the car is no longer covered by the free maintenance.
Clean, reliable & reasonable service.
I have been to a lot of shops and this place is the best experience that I have had. Im sure they would do a great job but they especially know the intricacies of Saabs.
I may have found a new mechanic. Very professional and go above and beyond without extra charge!
Ive owned 4 cars (saab, VW, volvo) and had them serviced at about a dozen places in the northeast, midwest, rockies, CA, etc. Jonssons is the best experience Ive ever had and it isnt really close.
Git a Swedish car? Take it here to Patric. Always honest and fair, I am very happy to have found his shop.
After years of bad experiences with various European car mechanics up and down the peninsula, I finally found the one! Patrick is a trustworthy, experienced, no BS professional - my new go-to mechanic, and I would recommend to absolutely anyone.
My trusted mechanic. I have 3 Saabs, and anything I cant do myself I take to Pat. Communication is good, work is done to a high standard. As well as European cars they also service Subarus and Mazdas.
Great place! Gave honest opinion and didnt charge an arm or leg!
Pat is super awesome. Reliable and will help you out in a pinch.
Been bringing my car here for 2 years. Had a saab at first and then bought a Volkswagen. Each and every time, patric (the owner) has wowed me with excellent customer service and helpful advice. If you ever need a reputable mechanic for most european cars, go here
Great service and a great job. Pat even noticed my car was dirty and promptly had it cleaned for free.
Pat the owner is the best of the best when it comes to Volvos.
Great service and very knowlegable
Honest car service. Look no further.
Subaru dealership was quoting me roughly $4,000 more than Bo Jonssons.
Faultless, honest service.
Patrick is very honest and his work is to-notch
Great service for my old Volvo.
Patric took our car and and walked us through the process keeping us in the loop the entire time. We are customers for life.
Knowledgeable, thorough, accurate diagnosis, no fear tactics.
