Do not stay here if you expect to be appreciated for your loyalty and money. This location is using the pandemic still as a clutch to not service rooms and hire staff. They have signs letting you know they may or may not clean your room. I requested my room cleaned and I was told they may or may not clean it due to pandemic. How ridiculous smh. Their parking lot is filled almost every night I’ve been here and they want us to believe they are in such a dire financial need that they can not afford staff. DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE. This location may be managed poorly.

Hotel is short staffed but the staff they have is SOLID. Welcoming and helpful. Truly doin g all they can to make our stay comfortable. With limited housekeeping they were still able to freshen up my room today will I was away working. This is my second stay for work and I would recommend staying here.

The staff was super friendly and the room was ok. I stayed there for a funeral, my grandmother passed. Drove from NY to Texas. My other family members got there before me and told the front desk I wasnt going to arrive until 4am as we had stopped a few times (30 hour drive!) We were still a couple hours away at 4am but instead of giving us a call to see if we were close, they charged me a cancellation fee. I didnt understand this as my family had two other rooms there and had told them we were gonna be late. Why would we cancel? She apologized and said she returned that charge. The room incidental total was $290. We stayed 3 nights. Its been two weeks and both charges havent come off so now I have to dispute $450 worth of charges still on my card and the staff has been unable to help but keeps telling me to just wait. It was a very annoying ordeal, especially for the circumstances.

The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. The bed was the right firmness, we slept well.The reason for 3 stars...immediately you are confronted by signs that make you feel like you are in a 1 star hotel demanding that you wear a mask. We frequently stay a Marriott and we were shocked at what we saw. I understand the policy of ignoring state law and honor company standards but Marriott is not a no tell motel. A simple sign would have worked.The room could have been a little cleaner also. There was a stain on the couch in the room and mold in the bathroom. We had to ask for a coffee pot because they “sanitize” them. I appreciate the cleaning of the coffee pot but the same attention to detail in the room would have helped.Overall, we like Marriott hotels and we will continue to stay in them.

Great service checking in. The room was clean and nice - although it was also weirdly laid out. The bathroom was large and open. The euro style keycard slot A/C and light control is a great idea, except they tell you not to touch it or remove the permanent card they put in there. That defeats the purpose, guys. Also, isn’t it time to bring back daily hotel cleaning? Hotels need to step it up. Every day we got a letter under the door that was ridiculous and insulting (photo). A nice property and a nice room, but they don’t get it.

Excellent 2 night stay while visiting San Marco., Super clean lounge, room, hallways, elevators, convenient location to shopping, resturants, near interstate, but no noise, great parking. Evening staff, friendly and he was very accommodating lit the patio Fire pit for us so we could enjoy the evening out in the patio. We met a nice couple who joined us with great conversation and laughter. Felt like home. The beds are sooo comfortable!!🌞

It’s going to be a bit long, because I’m not a review person, but this deserves a review… If I ever come back to San Marcos, I would definitely stay in this hotel! The hotel has a great location and super easy to get in and out and jump on the highway, it even has the outlets across from it. A little sad that it doesn’t offer complimentary breakfast like other hotels of this chain, but no biggie. They do sale muffins, coffees and stuff like that and if not, there is plenty around to go have breakfast as well, I really just missed the coffee in the mornings basically. After all it’s a nice hotel and also very clean, bathroom was super comfy and love that it has a shower instead of a tub. We didn’t get our room done every day because we didn’t wanted to, I had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but they were cleaning rooms every single day, we did get our towels changed the second second day though, because I traded the used ones for clean ones with the girl cleaning the rooms… But the staff here is what actually want to talk about, they are OUTSTANDING! I came here for a Baseball Tournament with my son, the morning of the game I was looking for the ice machine to fill up our coolers and water bottles with ice, and a gentleman that works here, very nice guy saw us and when he saw that I needed ice for the coolers too, he offered to fill them up for me, so he took them to the kitchen with him and he did… that was the first thing. never had that in any other hotel before. Then the next day we came back from 2 games and I need to wash my sons shirts for Sunday, I went to ask to buy soap and they said it was complementary for guests, so they gave me soap and conditioner for the clothes, also another awesome thing is that washer and dryer are free for guests, because I have payed in other hotels even from this same chain, because this chain is what we always or mostly use, in order to use the washer & dryer, so that was a nice surprise, but when I went to the laundry room their washing machine was out of service. I was sad and little disappointed because I was not going to be able to wash his uniforms, so I was figuring out what to do or even look for a coin laundry. On my way out a gentleman came up to me and explained the washing machine situation, that due to a broken part it wasn’t working and that they are waiting for it to arrive. Well, what do I do now? I need to wash the only 2 shirts he has… I thought of going to the Residence Inn next door… maybe they will let me use theirs? But I was told by the girl that I asked if she thought that they would let Meuse their laundry room that they are still not open. But she was super nice and kind and offered to wash it for in their laundry, of course she told me that she was going to ask first to see if it was possible… And to my surprise they said it was ok and they took my bag of dirty uniforms and washed them for me. What a nice and kind gesture! After a while I went down to the lobby to get the clothes and they told me that it was going into the dryer, to give them like 30 more mins and if I wanted they would call the room so I could go get it when ready. So went back up to my room and when got upstairs the gentleman from the laundry room was coming back from my room from dropping of my son’s uniforms, he told me that he had given them to him already and that they were in the room. What a great service and surprised, all the clothes was all and even folded. These people really go above and beyond and are willing to do anything in their hands to try to help a guest. I’m really thankful that they did all this for me and with the best of the attitudes and always a smile in their faces!So if you ever coming to San Marcos, please stay here!

Great staff and service. I would give 5 stars, but Marriott policy doesnt allow housekeeping to clean the rooms until occupants check out. Had to receive fresh towels via plastic bag attached to the door.

Great staff, let me say it again, great staff. We wound up here when the heating at our house went out during the record cold wave- 4 degrees with a negative windchill of -14.The staff was cheerful, helpful and simply awesome. The room was great and overall I’d stay here again but for the fact we live here.

A decent business type hotel. Rooms were large. Guests should be aware there are no in room safes. Due to Covid, there were amenities that are unavailable and housekeeping does not clean/refresh rooms daily. Management was responsive to guests concerns and responds quickly. Very polite front desk staff. Back side of hotel has less noise from the freeway. Street on back side has convenient access to a Starbucks, Centerpoint Rd and a gas station.

Manager is very rude and does not know how to manage his employees or deal with customer concerns. Do not expect to get good customer service here. Highly recommend other Marriott hotels in the area. Do not spend your money here.

The hotel itself was great. The girl at the front desk that checked me in was unprofessional.I checked in about 6pm went up to my room and it had a king bed. I reserved a 2 queen and a sofa bed, mind you its 5 of us, me my husband and 3 children ages 8 and under.When we went back down stairs the same girl told me that at 230pm her manager gave my room away to someone else because they overbooked. I didnt get a phone call nor email explaining to me the situation.I guess she expected us to sleep on the floor.She also said that my room was also given away because I was paying an explorer rate and the other person was paying full price. How discriminating. Because Im paying a lesser rate my room that I booked a month before arriving for me and my family was given away to someone that called the same day because they needed a room thirty minutes before check in.I have never had this kind of experience anywhere. I asked if their was anything they could do and another woman behind the person I was talking to said NO. Thank goodness for a gentlemen who was also checking people in said he would see what he could do and he did.He gave us what I had already previously booked.I should have taken down names but I was so upset more like angry and was just ready to go to my room.But I do remember faces. This girl needs to be better trained on what she should and should not say to to paying customers regardless on the price....

It was clean. They try to be eco friendly but I believe it’s more about dollars and cents. The a/c was not like a typical hotel and I slept pretty hot.

The staff was really nice but our room was definitely not clean. The bathroom looked like all they did was change the towels.

I stayed here for a girls trip and it was great. Theres plenty of room to relax or hang out. Im a big night snacker so the little snack corner they have was nice instead of having to go somewhere. And its great they have a starbucks/bistro for when I left in the morning. Will be staying here again when I visit for the Waterpark.

The hotel has clean rooms and it’s well located across from the San Marcos outlets. Unfortunately, it has parking issues, good luck trying to find a spot! The doors in the rooms are the loudest I’ve heard, you will wake up with a lot of loud slamming all around you. No microwave and no free breakfast. You also need to use your room key to operate the lights - this is the first time I have ever encountered this and I found it very strange and am struggling to find a purpose for it.

We picked option on Marriott site for a room with free internet and breakfast. This hotel showed up as top rated but did not meet any expectations. Breakfast was not free. Internet and TV were not working. Never seen a hotel where internet not working. Breakfast starts at 7.00 am. When we reached at counter to order breakfast, oatmeal was not ready. When we got it after 12 minutes it was uncooked.Did not meet my expectations of Marriott standards.

The beds are hard and the room was extremely hot. Called front desk and a lady did adjust ac but it did not change anything. Not to mention the ac unit ia underneath the shelf...

Im allergic to dusts. Its not severe, but its active only if there are a lot of dusts. I kept sneezing and had a runny nose while staying here especially when I lied on the bed. It was a 4-day business trip, but I had to book another hotel on the next day. And there were no symptoms shown while staying in the other hotel. The other features and facilities here are great, but due to COVID, I think cleanliness is the most important.

Literally across de San Marco´s Outlet, 3 minutes max. It has a Starbucks Coffee inside and has Target, Marshalls and Ross 10 minutes away!! The perfect place to stay if you´re looking a clean, cozy and cheap hotel in the Outlet´s area.

Very impressed with the interior. Minor setback though, very small fridge in the room and no microwave. Other than those two, great amenities. Oh, and did I mention free laundry??? That was my big bonus

My family stayed at this hotel over the weekend and we were so pleased by the kind staff, and clean comfortable rooms. A huge shout out to Edward Tovar for going above and beyond to assist us with our room door situation. You made sure we were still on time for our flight out of San Antonio Edward and we thank you!

Only branch of Marriott that doesnt have free breakfast. Beds very uncomfortable. Pillows the same. Online it said they had indoor pool. This is a big negative. Closed for the season now. The walls are not insulated very well, as you can hear people above you, to where you cant sleep at night. I had to call front desk to ask them to tell people above us to stop screaming, and running through their room so I could sleep.

Nice hotel but if you do not have a vehicle this is not a good option. Breakfast is not complimentary and it is expensive. When I booked the reservation I asked if there were options for breakfast. I was told there was a Cracker Barrel across the street. We booked our reservation based on that. The Cracker Barrel and the majority of other restaurants are located at the outlet mall across the highway - not across the street. It is nearly impossible to get there without a vehicle and the hotel does not offer shuttle service. The location is somewhat remote and transportation is limited. The front desk staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable in assisting with providing options. If you have your vehicle, the hotel itself is nice; rooms comfortable.

The hotel is very nice and clean. GREAT BEDS!!! My husband has a very bad back ( previous surgeries) so the bed is one of the most important things to us.. They did not disappoint!! Super clean and comfy. The pool wasnt very clean so my grandson and i were alittle disappointed. Housekeeping did not replenish our towels.. They have a sign that says hang them if we were going to reuse them which we did not do..so im not sure why they didnt give us new clean ones when they cleaned the room. Overall it was a good stay though

Rooms are modern and nice and clean but the ac didnt work well at all doesnt blow enough air since its positioned under the fridge moved to another room same thing didnt enjoy the stay I expected more from this hotel since I paid a good amount of money for 6 days didnt think I would have to get up at 1 am to my ac not working very inconvenient .

We loved our stay here. The facility is newer, clean, and conveniently located across from the San Marcos Premium Outlet.The staff is super friendly and over accommodating. We could t be happier with out stay. The Bistro was convenient for the whole family to grab Starbucks coffee and have a nice artisan breakfast in the morning. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfy. The whole family slept soundly though the night and woke up well rested for our drive trip back home.

Newer hotel with staff friendly and caring. One stop to fill your needs from morning routines to relaxation in the evenings at The Bistro. They even offer the Beyond Meat burger! Great sleep and ready for each day of work!

This is our favorite Courtyard location. The rooms are modern and quiet. The staff is helpful and friendly. If you want to shop at the outlets or drive into Wimberly for some shopping, you are perfectly situated.

I feel 1st impressions make or break a hotel. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. This continued throughout the stay. The housekeeping staff was extremely friendly also, which is extremely surprising because most the time they do not pay attention to you. We will definitely be back!

We celebrated our 26 wedding anniversary in San Marcos. We were headed to San Antonio and decided to sleep in San Marcos before continuing on. The stay was so relaxing and accomodating we decided to stay an additional night in San Marcos and enjoy the food and shopping at the Outlets. We are expecting our first grandchild and did not want to venture too far from home. Great decision.Great time!

Our room was clean, comfortable and service was excellent. This hotel is right across from the shopping outlets and near restaurants. However prepare to pay for your breakfast and coffee. That is disappointing as we have stayed at places with just as good price and experience and did not pay for breakfast. And we did know the breakfast was extra however coffee needs to be free. But overall a great stay! Front desk employees were so friendly and helpful!

The Courtyard San Marcos is by far the greatest hotel I have ever stayed in. From the courteous and patient check in staff (14 hours early check in!) to the comfortable and modern design of the suite it was one special trip! We were excited to come back home to the hotel after a long day. It was a perfect place to stay! Cant wait to stay at a Marriott hotel again!

Loved my room! I stayed in a king bed room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and well cleaned. The hotel is quite new and was nice and updated. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Room was nice. No microwave in room. The refrigerator/cabinet was weirdly placed over the air conditioner, causing the room to cool down slowly, but it cooled. Bathroom/shower was nice a spacious. No free breakfast.

The young woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. I truly felt welcome and appreciated. I wish I had her name, she told me but Im bad at names.

As a travel agent this place was awesome. The staff was very friendly, rooms was very Roomy and clean.

The hotel was very clean and updated. The room was in great shape and decor was updated and nice. Amanda Sloop, the general manager, is a rockstar! She went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of and our group was all set.

Our experience this week with the manager was so refreshing. Sabrina Gloria was helpful and made us feel like family. The rest of the staff was also extremely helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel was great from check in to check out! Check in was fast and easy while getting to know everything I needed to know, the rooms were clean and comfortable and everything was super modern. The bistro food was super filling and the attendants were very nice.

Loved the friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel was quiet, stylish, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Thought it was brand new...Bed linens and bed were very comfortable. Heat worked well (glad about that I am from Miami!) Parking was well lit and convenient.

Easy in and out through town and to shopping on the other side of the road. Good breakfast sandwiches, but a little show on coffee delivery. Very courteous and helpful staff. Good price.

Typical Courtyard experience. If you are familiar with the Courtyard by Marriott experience, youll be fine starting here. If youre unfamiliar, know theres no free breakfast or even free coffee in the morning, except for the coffee you new in your room. No microwave in the room, because they want you to buy from their bistro. (There is a microwave in the lobby.) Rooms are comfortable. Internet was free at this location and at good speeds.

Didnt like that you had to use a key card for the power to work in the room. 100 degrees outside and the room stays at 78 until you get back to the room. Went to float the river and once you get back to the room it is warm. Took forever to cool the room down. Besides that, it was a nice place to stay.

Once again the Courtyard Marriott was the choice for our annual homecoming stay. For a number of years, we have had a block of rooms for our group. We have enjoyed using the party room, lobby and outside areas to gather. I look forward to this continued tradition.

I checked in at 8:40 p.m. not expecting much more than maybe a snack from the bistro store. To my delight this location has a full bar and great evening menu! My room was clean and I love the fact this hotel uses green energy. It makes me feel I might be getting both savings and helping our planet!! Breakfast had a great variety for once again, good cost. They served Starbucks coffee and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Theres also a lovely pool and fire pit area in the back to see the sunset and/or get a tan or just cool off. This is a wonderful property.

Regardless of the shift changes, EVERY staff member was consistent with their customer service! The bar area was closed but the front desk personnel still went to make us coffee. We ordered pizza and were sitting at the closed bar area and they were sweet enough to even bring us plates for our delivered food. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be returning!

This Courtyard is one of the newer hotels in town. Its conveniently located and easy to access from I-35. What a surprise to find that they have in-hotel dining (limited but good selection). We chose to eat there for dinner and for breakfast. The servers were knowledgable, polite and eager to please.I dont know if it was our white hair but we were assigned to a handicapped room. Room was large and comfortable. Bed was softer than we would like but comfortable. Recommend this hotel.

Very nice and super clean. Staff was enthusiastic and friendly. Fast check - in. The rooms are decorated in a soothing color scheme. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom is spacious with a cool glassed-in, walk-in, roomy shower. The hotel is decorated in an up to date decor with a spacious lobby and dining area. We were on a tight time frame and did not get to enjoy the pool area with fire pits, but will definitely be back and take advantage of it.

Very modern, clean and new. Love the soothing, contemporary decor. Very comfortable stay. Breakfast at the breakfast bar was good - oatmeal with fresh berries and all the fixings packed in a cute take away box for us by the friendly and courteous breakfast bar staff. The bathroom was beautiful and clean. No bathtub, but the wonderful and spacious walk-in shower was a treat. Will definitely be staying here again.

There was no breakfast or even coffee available at Courtyard San Marcos. When I bought this up at check in, the lady who was at the desk didnt really seem to care that I was unsatisfied with my stay. Otherwise the hotel was nice and clean and looked recently updated.

Rooms and bed very clean and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and courteous. Property located directly across interstate from outlet mall shopping and dining. My only suggestion would be to offer continental breakfast, or at a minimum, complimentary coffee in the lobby. The little coffee maker in the room was not quite adequate. Also, items in snack bar area seemed a bit expensive, ($4 for a small bag of chips).

Overall stay was enjoyable. Room was clean and updated. Property was clean and had easy access to numerous aminities in the area. Staff was courteous. Pretty good TV channel selection for when you are in the room. Beds were smaller than normal queen beds. Internet was unusable, even when paying for enhanced access. This is pretty normal for internet in most hotels you stay at anywhere.

The staff are incredible & really dedicated to ensuring that you are taken care of! It’s also super clean and the upkeep is superb! Above and beyond!!!

Hotel room was clean, fresh and modern! Beds were perfect for my husband and I, we like beds on the firmer side. Room had high ceilings, modern/minimalist decor, and fridge was nice. Shower was large, great water pressure, and a great set-up, we even took a picture so when we redo our own bathroom as a reference. Would definitely stay again. Close enough to Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, San Marcos Outlet shopping, visiting Gruene and Wimberly.

We expected an average hotel, but ended up loving everything about this hotel. The staff was helpful and courteous, bed was great, as was the updated room. We were pleasantly surprised at the comfortable lobby and outside seating pit. The hotel is located along the highway and we expected a lot of road noise. It was quiet from both the road and hallways. Located right next to the outlets, as well as some great food. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Hotel is great being that it is new. Everything in great shape. Rooms good size. Beds very comfortable. However walls are paper thin and if you get teenagers staying in room next to you - dont expect to get any peace and quite. Very pricey rate. Wish you could get breakfast included with the price. Just a basic room for such a high price.

If I could do a million dislikes on here I would in a heartbeat. The manager Gloria is a real piece of work. She is a linear and if I could say more than I definitely would. We arrived late at night to check into our room and found blood on the sheets. The next morning my husband brought it to the front desks attention. They changed the sheets for us. The day we were to check out my husband just wanted to speak with the manager to discuss the situation. She claimed they did an investigation of the trash in the room and found tampons and that the blood was fresh. I have not had a period since May 2014 due to having a TOTAL HYSTERECTOMY!!! My obviously became upset and she dismissed him like a child. Then when we were checking out I wanted to speak with her. She hid in the office for a while and then came out to the lobby. She would not speak to us inside the building and made us go outside. She refused to speak to me and stated that I was wrong. Then she chose to call the police because we were merely wanting an apology for her blatant lying. I and my husband became upset and then her front desk girl started to interject herself into it making the situation worse. We were having a great time until this rude, unprofessional, and mistreatment by a manager. We have never been so disrespected by an establishment in our lives such as this. We have contacted the corporate office and an investigation has been started. I will NEVER stay at this location EVER. If the manager will lie and not own up to a mere mistake then what else might happen during your stay. The police did make contact with usand stated that they have had other issues at this same location before. Tread with caution if you stay here.

From the quick, courteous check in to the location right across from the Outlets, this is a great option for families or couples. Very clean, spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds, and extremely friendly and courteous staff. This is our second time to stay at this location.

The overall hotel was excellent. We enjoyed our room, the pool and every aspect about it. I would recommend thatanyone stay there. A little pricy for the location, but was well worth the money. Just a nice, clean, and quite placeto stay. Pool area was excellent!! Will definitely stat there again!!

I reserved a room with Courtyard San Marcos as an overflow hotel for a meeting taking place at the Embassy Suites. I found Courtyard San Marcos to be more comfortable, easier to come and go, and centrally located to shopping and restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. As I was within about five minutes of arriving for my stay at Courtyard San Marcos, a staff person called and gave me the choice of changing my room from a Queen to a King, which was my wish & preference. As far as I’m concerned, Courtyard San Marcos will be my first choice for future stays while in San Marcos.

Very comfortable rooms. Good rates. Close to Kissing Tree and outlet stores. Friendly and professional staff

Lobby and check in process was great! Bar area was excellent as well. Room was incredibly hot and never really cooled down. Hallways arent air conditioned either. You expect good climate control out of a new hotel and this was lacking. Breakfast is just reheated frozen items. Without the AC issues this could be a great hotel.
